We had contracted to have our cottonwood tree trimmed, he informed us he didn't work weekends which was fine. He told is somebody would be out Wednesday and that they would do the job for $600 . We then got a call Sunday morning saying he would be out to do the job today, he then said that it wasn't enough moneyso we told him that we would up it at $200. We were then told he would get back to us. So we waited all day he would not return our calls so I contacted him through Facebook. He called us was very rude to us very unprofessional, and then threatened us. Thank goodness we had never given him any money

Complaint[redacted] (owner of Sierra Tree Care) approached me on 8/31/15 and offered to trim one of my trees for the sum of 50.00 dollars. I countered his offer with some additional partial trimming of one other tree and removal of some small branches I had already cut. I offered to pay him 100.00 dollars cash and he accepted. I gave him a 100.00 dollar bill on 8/31/15 with the understanding that the job would be completed that afternoon.When the job was not completed as agreed upon, I called [redacted] and excuses ensued. There were several calls on several different dates. [redacted] offered numerous excuses such as his crew did not make it out to do the job. Then it was that his truck had broken down. Then there was a period where he longer answered the phone and he would not return my messages. When I was able to contact him again the last two times him told me he would be out to return my money.The last time I called him ( I had to leave a message on 9/18/15) I told him he had until 9/23/15 to return my money or I was going to file a complaint.Desired SettlementI would like to have my 100.00 cash returned.Business Response [redacted] case [redacted]Iam willing to do whatever it takes to resolve your complaintConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)[redacted] called me on the afternoon of 10/16/15 to say that he was willing to do whatever it takes to resolve my complaint. To date 10/24/15 early am I have not heard from or seen Kevin. I am still waiting for my money to be returned.Final Consumer Response

Complaint[redacted] is now going by the business name Sierra Tree Care currently in [redacted]. He is dishonest, untrustworthy and breaks his contract agreement. Sierra Tree Care is the business name [redacted] is now going by. Has he changed his business name so he can avoid being connected with his business K & A Tree Care? BE FORWARNED he conned me into giving his full payment and two days later I still am waiting for his work to be completed. Proposal listed trees and services which he did not complete. He provides many reasons for not completing his work, including "I forgot about that tree". He is not a man of his word. He promised me he would come back and finish the job the following day, after pleading for advancement of his balance due so he could make payroll that day. I hope this public review can spare others from our misfortune in doing business with [redacted]. Desired SettlementFinish the job you agreed to do. I used [redacted] (changed his business license name to Sierra Tree Care in August 2015) to perform professional arborist service for my property on over 100 trees plus additional bushes and shrubs. He wanted to be paid up front before finishing the work. He got paid, but didn't finish.He made several appointments to come back to finish trimming suckers, bushes, tree limbs he missed, remove pitch moth accumulation, provide the arborist report promised and pickup branches he cut, but he failed to show up. He changes his business name and gets a new business license every few months to hide the poor service he performed under the previous business license name.Product_Or_Service: Tree pruningDesired SettlementAdjust the bill to find someone else to finish the work.Business Response I apologize for your expieriance. I removed 7 extra trees and while you followed me around on the final inspection of your yard I did everything you asked of me. as for the very minimal extra debris and leaves and pine needles. There was a lot of snow and made it nearly impossible to complete the job. I attempted to rectify the complaint and offered 500.00 refund and your wife said that it was unesseccery and that in her eyes the issue was resolved. If a 500.00 refund will make you happy I would be happy to resolve the complaint.Consumer Response The bill was never adjusted by this business. Recently paid another contractor $700+ to clean up the work that was not completed.

I paid Sierra tree care 400 dollars. [redacted],the owner took my money. I decided the next day to cancel the work. He said he would return my money.
