(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The company has not provided any new information to prove that my check was ever, in fact, mailed out from their officeI am offered no alternative options for receiving payment and no option except to forfeit $of my hard earned moneyThe way in which this is being handled makes me feel as if the company withholds checks on purpose so that they can keep money that rightfully belongs to the workersI would imagine if this were not a malicious act that some kind of proof of delivery, alternate method of receiving payment, or some form of lesser fee for having waited well over what would be considered a reasonable amount of time for payment to be receivedRegardless of intent I at this point have still not received payment for work that I performed in NovemberI am requesting that payment be submitted to me without having to pay a $ransom or actual proof that my check ever left that office as words/statements do not suffice when it comes to this matter

It is our position that you did not adequately fulfill the terms of the shops you conducted

I am rejecting this response because:The editor who reviewed my reports stated that the reports were goodThat was days ago when I logged in and I was asked to click to conform I read the nores from
the editorAfter that, yesterday your editing head Mercedies *** canceled the shops for some weird reasons, see text below between dashesSo how come my shops were fine days ago, but not yesterday? Don't you think this weird? She even misspelt the word "consistant"So if I am required to write a perfect report why the Head of your editing deptdoesn't spell correctly? Not to mention that your schedulers don't answer emails ( or they answer them days after the shop was due) and they don't write correctly in English eitherDo you not pay your employees including the Mrs *** for not having the basic skills to do their jobs? You are a fraud mystery shopping companyI spent money and time to do those shops and nothings wrong with themYou used shoppers to do shops for you then you find reason not to pay them so you get all the fees you charge the companies. You owe me $for the canceled and $for the other one that wasn't canceled.-------------------Contradicting answersThere were answers on the report that contradicted one another and weren’t consistant Most of the commentary was vague-----------------------

Dear Mr***: We are sorry for the inconvenience you have experienced recently and are very troubled that our company name is being used in disreputable scams such as the one you describedOur organization does not email individuals who have
not already signed up through our website to become a Secret Shopper

We apologize for the inconvenience you have experiencedThank you for completing shops with usYour payment was sent out using standard mail through the United States Postal Service, with no tracking number assignedUnfortunately, we are unable to re-issue a check unless
we receive the original check back; otherwise, we must assess a $stop-payment chargeThis policy is clearly stated when signing up to become a Secret ShopperWe recommend allowing more time to receive the check
Thank you

Dear Mr***,
The emails you are receiving are not from our organizationThey are from a scammerWe recommend you take this matter to your local authorities

Dear Ms. [redacted], Your re-issued check has been put in the mail.  We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced with the delay of your check.

Dear [redacted],
Your account has been dropped from our system. Please let us know if you need anything else.

Dear [redacted],
We apologize that you have not received your payment that was sent through the United States Postal Service. As you agreed when you signed up to become a Secret Shopper, the only way a check can be re-issued is if a stop-payment is assessed, or if the check is returned to us. The...

$35 stop-payment is not a fine assessed, but a fee for re-issuing a check.

I am rejecting this response because:
You guys are just repeating yourselves at this point. I've waited over a month at this point, it's obvious that the check is not going to get to me. I refuse to pay a fee for your negligence. Once again, unless I receive a check for the full amount of $90 I will not be closing this complaint.

Our shoppers are independent contractors. They are paid to produce professional reports. The reports they submit go through multiple levels of review. It is possible that a senior editor rejects the work that a junior editor had approved. When a shopper signs up to work with us, both their obligation to produce professional reports, and the penalties for not producing those reports are clear. The penalties are also clearly stated in the shop instructions that are attached to each individual shop the contractor signs up for. Our editing team routinely works with shoppers to produce a final professional product. The penalties for not producing a professional report can result in a partial reduction in pay, or a complete cancellation of the assignment. When a shop is cancelled and reassigned, we have to pay another person for that work. There are occasions when the editing team is trying to work with a shopper, and while trying to work with them, the team begins to notice a pattern in the quality of work that is put forth. Based on those patterns, if they are sufficiently negative. a shopper may be dropped. We have no desire to drop a shopper from our registry, but when we do, it is because we feel like we have no other choice in order to protect the quality and integrity of our work. This shopper will not be paid for work that was submitted that did not meet our standards.

Dear [redacted],Our policy states that we cannot re-issue a check unless it is returned to our office, or the stop-payment fee is assessed.  This is a policy that all of our shoppers agree to when signing up to become a Secret Shopper.  If you would like to have the stop-payment fee assessed...

and the check re-issued, please contact our office.Thank you for your understanding.

Our policy, which you agreed to when you signed up to be a Secret Shopper, states a check cannot be re-issued without the stop-payment fee or the check being returned to our offices.  If you are not willing to allow the stop-payment fee, then you must allow more time for the check to be received.
