To start, this business made us put a 50% deposit down on a QUOTEThey would not even create a design without itIt took us over months to come to an agreement because they raised the price $ Then once settled, I told them that they had to install according to the land owners specs They told me the only thing they had to go by was the county or township rules So they put the sign up where they thought we wanted Even though we told them to check with owners It turns out it was wrong and they charged us to move it We have had nothing but bad experience with them They changed the rules of money handling for no reason They told us that we were delinquent in paying because it had been months We had no permits to continue so how could we put up a sign? They hounded us even thought we told them it was out of our hands They made up documents that they said we had signed and said they did not get lease agreements and landlord approvals that they did get It was a horrible experience

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2017/08/24) */
Foremost, we would like to apologize and take ownership of our miscommunicationTo be clear, this miscommunication began when our delivery driver failed to communicate to me that he was unable to get the top off of one of the fuel tanks that
obstructed us from doing our job at the delivery siteMoreover, our delivery driver took it upon himself to instead deliver the agreed upon amount of fuel to the other two tanks insteadTherefore, because he did deliver the agreed upon amount of fuel, we did charge the full amountHowever, this was before I was aware of what had happenedBecause of this, I was unaware of the problem and unable to rectify our mistake in a timely fashionNext I would like to address the issue of not being able to get the top off of the tankWe are only a small home heating oil delivery business and do not provide a service to fix or inspect tanksHowever, we do take ownership of not properly communicating with the customer that we were unable to do this and therefore unable to access their tankLastly, we would like to acknowledge that we did not respond appropriately when the customer called to bring the matter to our attentionWe take pride in being a long standing small family business that is not only available and responsive to our customers, but professional and respectful above all elseIn this instance, we did not hold up to those standardsIn conclusion, we would like to apologize for the miscommunication from our driver and from myselfWe have learned from the mistakes aforementioned and have taken action to make sure that a situation like this never happens againWe would also be glad to refund you the amount specified above
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 12, 2017/08/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I was not aware the company delivered the paid amount of oil as it was chargedGiven that information and the fact that they took responsibility for their mistake, I am perfectly fine with their response and would like to thank them for owning up to their part in this matter

To start, this business made us put a 50% deposit down on a QUOTE. They would not even create a design without it. It took us over 2 months to come to an agreement because they raised the price $600. Then once settled, I told them that they had to install according to the land owners specs. They told me the only thing they had to go by was the county or township rules. So they put the sign up where they thought we wanted. Even though we told them to check with owners. It turns out it was wrong and they charged us to move it. We have had nothing but bad experience with them. They changed the rules of money handling for no reason. They told us that we were delinquent in paying because it had been 4 months. We had no permits to continue so how could we put up a sign? They hounded us even thought we told them it was out of our hands. They made up documents that they said we had signed and said they did not get lease agreements and landlord approvals that they did get. It was a horrible experience.

I hired Sign a rama to install a sign for my business in August 2011. They kept telling us they were waiting for the city of Fairview to sign off on the permits for the sign. (I have texts that conform this)Finally in Dec. of 2011 they put the sign up. Then I get a letter from the city of Fairview Park telling me the sign was put up without permits. I paid sign a rama to do a job and they did not do the job properly. They were not honest with us and they kept this up for 5 months. Something needs to be done about companies like this.
