[redacted] came into our store to show art work on reclaimed wood and to ask for orders. placed an order on 02/01/2013 gave [redacted] a check for 1096.00. Have made many calls to [redacted] with promise of delivery of 36 pictures ordered. We have been put off and have not received any product and our money has not been returned. \r\nWE SUGGEST YOU DO NOT ORDER PRODUCT FROM [redacted] OR SIGN OF A BEACH BUSINESS. \r\n\r\nThey seem to target small family owned businesses and do not deliver but insist on deposit for product.

We ordered $1257 worth of product from this company on 4/14/2015 and she said that we would receive it approximately 5/15/2015. We called her a little before the 4th of July and she said that she had some issues but would bring it in about a week. After 2 weeks and we still hadn't seen her we called again. She kept putting us off until we eventually asked her to send us a refund check for the $1000 that we paid her on 4/14/2015 and she said that she would put a check in the mail. We never received the check and although we have talked to her numerous times (which we've had to resort to calling from our cell phones so that she will actually answer) she just keeps telling us that she will put a check in the mail. She did offer to meet me in a parking lot about 30 minutes from here at 9 in the evening, which I did not feel comfortable since she's obviously not a very respectable person. She stole $1000 from us and though it's not a lot we are a small family owned business and $1000 means more to us than to larger companies, also it's not good business to steal money from other businesses.Product_Or_Service: Art on reclaimed woodOrder_Number: [redacted]Desired SettlementFrom our experience with this business we just want our money back that we paid and to never hear from them again. Business Response I have done business with this complaint ant for 4 years...my family and myself who have summer homes in this Beach town have shopped here. Firstly, I spoke with the daughter of the owner. Explained that I had been ill to which she replied that she had heard that before.It was I who suggested should we not get her order completed, we would refund money. This was my suggestion, not her request as is stated. I also answer my phone and have proof on my phone of returned calls and answered calls. I was in Charleston SC when I asked her to meet me somewhere at her convenience as I traveled back to hmy home in eastern NC. I ended up not going by as it would have been midnight. Never did I suggest a parking lot....within days of this, I fainted at a customer's place of business and found myself again in the hospital....spoke with [redacted] and told her I would send refund as soon as I could but had medical expenses. Throughout every call...I have been threatened and hung up on numerous times. The refund to this customer will be paid in full by end of month. I plan to never return...nor my family to this sore. Never have I ever met such vindictive persons without a care as to another human being. Especially that have done business with you in the past with much success with our products. Her complaint is a not only mean spirited..implying that I was a complete stranger to her, therefore giving her logical reason for concern..she attacks me personally Painting an unflattering picture of me, conjuring up images of some dimly lit parking lot I tried to entice her into meeting me. The negative personal comments in her complaint says WAY more about HER than me. In summary, she will be receiving a refund by end of this month when accounts on net 30 with me are due.Consumer Response She did offer to meet me in a parking lot at nine at night so that is a blatant lie. We have been here since 1988 and have a great credit standing and we do not threaten people. We told her that we would report her to the Revdex.com and take her to small claims court as a courtesy to her so that she would send us our money. She told us that she had been sick, but after a couple of weeks and still no check we called again where she used the same excuse. After this going on for so long her excuses are growing old. She never told us that she couldn't afford to give us our money back she just said she had been in the hospital and that she would put the check in the mail. It never happened. Also it is laughable that all of a sudden she would be sending the refund at the end of the month when accounts that are net 30 are due since this has been going on for longer than 30 days. Also just as a side note we care greatly for the welfare of other people but as a business when someone says they are going to do something you expect them to do it. Any company that we buy goods from if we didn't pay for four months they would send us to collections. This lady came into our store and promised us goods, when she couldn't fulfill that she offered a refund that apparently she knew she wouldn't give just to get us off the phone. We would have been happy to set up a payment plan or something but she kept saying she was putting the check in the mail. She lied every time we spoke to her, and yes we did call from our cell phones a couple of times where she answered because she wouldn't answer when we called from the store phone. I wish her all the luck in her future endeavors because if this is how she runs a business, I'll be very surprised if she lasts another four years.
