Review: I purchased tickets to a show ...2 days before I get to the show ,,the "management" informs me I will not be allowed in the theatre or to see the show which I bought tickets to AND I asked for reason they said nothing and didmt need to give me reasn?!!!...but just refunded my tickets ...iwanted to see the show and was NOT giving a reason why they were not allowing me? to....this is good business????any and ALL help will be most appreciated thank youDesired Settlement: just wanted to see the show ...ido not live in new york and this was a terrible inconvience not to mention immorally bad business tactics ....AND they the management there were VERY RUDE to me too ...idontunderstand and jsut wasnt to make things right and give reason which they said they wont and dint have to? give?..thanks again any help and the show is over sept ** so a quick respnse woudl be grateful too

One week before the first performance of an upcoming production at Signature Theatre we were informed by a representative of one of our artists that there are several people known to them who have a history of disrupting performances and performers. A decision was made to take steps to prevent these people from accessing our venue. The complainant’s name was on that short list. At that time, August [redacted], we noticed she had already purchased tickets to an event at Signature. The complainant was contacted, informed of the decision and refunded. I followed up with a phone call when there was no response to the email.

I have spoken to [redacted] on the phone no fewer than eight times personally over the last few weeks. I have received no fewer than fifty incoming phone calls and voicemails from her. [redacted] has visited our venue at least twice and was asked to leave both times. The second time she refused to leave until we called the police. I have explained to her that we cannot honor her ticket and as such we are refunding her 100% for the ticket.

We stand by our decision to refuse admittance to people with a history of disrupting public events and those that perform in them. We are a not for profit theatre company dedicated to the vision of the playwright and it is consistent with our mission to refuse admission to those who distract from the execution of that mission by our theatre’s artists.
