Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Please note that this was NOT resolved.  I had to install the light myself with another electrician because he refused to to it unless he charged me another $200 for the installation after I had already paid him.  The light I ordered came within 2 days and after 2 months of me calling him when he said he would order it, he claimed he had not received it.  He did NOT fulfill his contract and it cost me anoretic $165 to get it installed from someone else, another $52 for the light fixture and almost 3 months of waiting for it to be fixed.  Please put the complaint back up.

it comes to the stairway lights that she is referring to, we only charged her to change the bulbs. While changing the bulbs we discovered that one of the lights had a broken socket and the only way to fix it would be to replace the entire fixture. The fixtures were very old and l asked her if she knew where she had gotten them, she had no idea- I told her that I would try to find one for her but l could not promise that I could. I suggested that she change all of the light fixtures so that she could get all new ones and they all could match, she declined and said that she didn’t have the money to do that. I told her that I would try to find one that matched but that it is not part of the original job that we agreed on and that when/ifl found the light we would then charge her separately for that. We completed all the work that was originally agreed to and we have been paid in full for that work. I did end up finding the light and ordering it which took months for it to finally arrive. When it arrived it was at a time when we were relocating our shop and it must have gotten lost in the shuffle. I have been looking for it but could not find it[redacted] does not seem to understand how this could happen and calls me yelling at me when all I do is apologize and try to help her. I do not owe her anything as she has not paid for anything in advance. When she gets the light fixture I would be more than happy to help her and install it for her for whatever price we may agree to. The fact is that she was never charged for the replacement of the light fixture that is in question. The
job was completed in full, everything that we charged her was done. The light fixture that she is referring to was a separate job that was going to be billed after it was complete. She ended up getting the light fixture herself and had it installed by a separate electrician, therefore this should no longer be an issue. I have attached a copy of her invoice so that everyone can see that she was never charged for the work that she keeps on talking about. We have been in business for over 50 years and have never had any complaints or done anything wrong to any customer and we will continue to provide excellent service to our customers and not fall into traps with people like this customer who live such negative
lives. Thank you for your time in this matter.

Review: I hired them to put all new lights and electric into my outside dock and stairway from the damage from Hurricane Sandy and they said they could repair the ones that were there and get me a new light for the one that was broken, which is why I continued to use the ones I had and let him repair the rest. 3 months went by and I kept calling him for the new light. He told me it wasn't in from the company for 2 months. Finally he called and said the light was in and that he needed to install it. We arranged several dates for him to do it but then he never showed up. I kept calling and he kept giving me excuses and then finally he said "I lost the light. I can't find it." He used this excuse several times when I called. That was a month after he said he had it. Today he refused to order another one and hung up on me when I got upset and asked for the number of the company myself to order it. He did email me the link to order it myself the same day he hung up on me. So I did order it myself and it will arrive in less than 2 1/2 weeks. I also told him that the light timer was not working and that the lights were on 24/7 and he said he would fix it. That was also a month ago. He still has not come to fix it despite my calling over and over again. I had paid him for the entire job 3 months ago.Desired Settlement: I need the light which I had to order myself (and which is coming in 2 1/2 weeks by Nov. 14th) installed and the timer for the lights to be fixed so it stops wasting electricity and money.
