Review: I went to the salon for a highlights and brought a photo of the color I was looking for. When my hair was done, the highlights were dark and my hair basically looked like how I walked in with subtle highlights. I was disapointed in the way it came out and asked if there was anything they could do. My stylist was resistant but helful and she agreed to have me come back in a few days to add a few more highlights to lighten my hair up the way I wanted it. As we were scheduling the appointment, the owner came over and asked if there was a problem. After explaining I was unhappy, she said "we can work with you but at your expense. You came in for highlights you will pay for the service we provided." She did not seem to care that my hair did not come out how I wanted. I told her she needed to fix it or I wasnt paying. She totally lost control at that point. She called me names, like poor white trash. She threatening to call 911 and acted totally belligerent. Screaming I was trying to steal from her. I told her I was not paying the full amount, she said give me $100 cash and never come back or I am dialing 911 right now. She refused to take my credit card even though thats how I have always paid. I felt threatened and bullied. She stood over me as I was taking money out of the ATM yelling "hurry up.Take out the $ or I'm calling the cops.I dont have time for this.Hurry up & give me my money". I gave her the $ in tears & left. Later that day, I got a call from the police telling me if I come to the salon again I could be arrested for trespassing. All of this spawned from me stating I was unhappy with my highlights. I have been coming to the salon a few years. I have never had any problems. I have always paid and tipped and there was no previous issues. I also did not swear or threaten her in anyway. I just kept asking her to fix it or else I dont think its fair that I have to pay. Additionally, Id like to mention that I was quoted $110 & the bill ended up at $150- Thats a big difference!

I regret most that I didnt stick up for myself. I realize they spent time doing my hair & wanted compensation but I also wasted my valuable time off from work.I was without question bullied by the owner.The owner refused to fix my hair & still wanted her money. I was put in a very high pressure situation by an unstable person & unwillingly gave her the $102 which in my opinion she did not deserve. Additionally, calling the cops on me is just plain harassment. I derserve my money back.

Dear client,

While we understand that you were upset about not seeing the desired results right away, we did do a consultation with you stating that what you were looking for would not be possible with just one hair appointment and it might take several to get the look you wanted. When making the appointment, we did quote you $110 for the services you were in for but you were also informed that the price might differ if the technician needed to use extra product on your hair. The technician made you aware of the extra use of product and during that time you had no issue with it. During your appointment, you had complained that your husband doesn't like it when you spend a lot of money on your hair. When all was said and done, you did not like what you saw in the mirror but had stated that you never like what you see when you go to hair salons, and also said that you have been to about 20 different salons and never left happy. You were starting to argue with two of our technicians about the end result and how unhappy you were and how you didn't want to come back and have it worked on more to get the look you wanted. At one point you stated that you could have gotten the same results with box color, which would be impossible to accomplish. The owner then came into the situation trying to make it right. You continued to argue with her and the technicians and were not using very polite language. You threatened to only pay $60 of the $150 bill and when asked to pay at least $100 in cash for the highlight service, you threatened to leave without paying. At that point, to any business that has provided a service, that would be considered stealing. You would not go to a restaurant, rack up a $150 bill and then not pay for it after you have eaten all of the food would you? So when you started to walk out the door without paying we informed you that we were going to call the police to help settle the issue. You at first were still going to walk out but then reconsidered. You did get money from the ATM but at no point did the owner stand over you and tell you to hurry up. The owner was behind the front desk the entire time you were up in the front lobby area. At no point were the words "poor white trash" used; we are a professional business that has been providing outstanding salon & spa services for 30 years, we would never use inappropriate language no matter the situation at hand. After the fact the police were called just to inform you that you were no longer welcome in the salon and if you did try to come back we would be forced to take legal action. You wrote a review on the web about our salon but failed to mention that you only paid part of the original bill. As you stated to several of our staff, "you were never happy at any of your previously frequented salons"; so we wish you the best of luck and happiness in finding a new one.
