Thank God I'm not the judge for the ratings on Silver Creek , because I would give them an F=for failure to comply to the consumers interest F= for false

Response received via e-mail to Revdex.com from Scott [redacted] of Silver Creek Classics:In response to Mr. [redacted], the '73 Olds Cutlass that he purchased was advertised as a "rare factory A/C car." The car is a" factory A/C car". Mr [redacted] mentioned a couple of  items that he felt needed...

repair,we would be willing to send Mr. [redacted] $200 to take care of those items. Scott

I am rejecting this response because:
I purchased this car based on the description in the ad.Inline 5 of the ad, it is written, " Never abused, always maintained and pampered". In reality, this car was not well maintained and pampered. The AC Compressor, brackets and lines were all missing. The original air cleaner and vacuum reservoir were missing as well. Electrical lamp cord was used under the dash for wiring. The seatbelt on the drivers side was bolted straight down through the floor and is obviously not a factory installation. In line 6, it says, " Car was also ordered with color keyed sport mirrors and rear bumper guard". Both mirrors are not even Oldsmobile mirrors! The inside control on the drivers side can not be used. it is smashed against the dashboard because of incorrect installation.In line 10 of the ad it states, "Very fun to drive and show off right off our delivery truck". Upon delivery of the car, there were two fuel leaks, return line and the fuel pump. The parking break was inoperative and not even connected. The car had trouble making power, in fact the car was not drivable at all.Based on all of these lies, if I had been there in person to see this car, I would not have spent more than $5000. Being that they advertise themselves as a Classic Car shop, people assume that they are on the up and up and know what they are doing and selling. But it doesnt seem to be the case. It is amazing that the other complaints filed against this company are very similar to mine.

Received word via phone call from Scott [redacted] that Silver Creek Classics has agreed to Mr [redacted]'s counter-proposal of $400, and will be mailing a check to him at the address he has provided.

In 5/18 e-mail, consumer indicates acceptance of resolution reached with business:"WE FEEL THIS IS SATISFACTORY FOR  BOTH OF US."
