Mr.*** arrived at the dealership at 5:pm on 2/8/17. It was dark out side and we were about to close at pm. According to my salespeople, there was no discussion of the mechanical shape of the motorhome. The vehicle was not looked at in detail and was not test drivenThe
salesperson took a $cash deposit at 6:00pmMr*** told the salesperson he would be back the next couple of days stating that he wanted to take the motorhome to be inspected by a reputable mechanic. He asked my salesperson if he could recommend anybody. He told him Freightliner in Kansas city. The next morning we brought the motorhome into our shop. We had just purchased the motorhome and had not been checked out mechanicallyIn our inspection we found the following. Awning missingthe furnace was inop. There were several rook leaks. Broken taillightParking Brake InopAnd the major concern was a severe oil leak in the rear main seal. To fix this issue the transmission would need to removed to fix this oil leak. We made the decision to wholesale the unitAfter discovering these issues, the salesperson contacted Mr*** that afternoon. Explained our findings and told him that we were not going to sale the motorhome to him. He thanked the salesperson for the information. It was my understanding the Mr*** called back same day and said he had a binding contract because of a cash deposit taken the evening before.Mr*** came to the dealership the next day in which I personally met with himHe demanded that we tell inform him of all information about where the motorhome was. I explained to him again the mechanical problems with the motorhome. I offered him a refund of his deposit and he refused to accept itSince this time, my main Motorhome buyer *** *** has tried to find a similar motorhome. To this point one has not been foundI am mailing the $deposit back to him today

Ms*** did make application at our dealership to be financed for a vehicle If is my understanding that she was looking to trade in a vehicle as a down paymentThe salesperson involved did come to me on a preliminary value on the trade inAt that point I was not aware if what vehicle she
was trying to buy The next thing I knew the customer had left the dealership. All of our vehicles advertised on our website is the cash price Based on specific customer credit situation (s), we may consider financing the vehicle with our in house finance company I can not discuss this certain situation based on privacy and confidentiality laws If Ms*** would like to contact me I am more happy to find a truck that fits her credit situation *** ***Silver Eagle Auto Mall

The following are the true facts regarding Ms***’s complaint. Ms*** purchased a Ford Taurus on 4/6/ Her mother *** *** was a cosignor on the loan for credit approval At time of purchase, customer test drove the car and had the opportunity to
take to any outside mechanic of her choice (signed document on file) On this day she was advised that the vehicle was being sold as is with no representation of any warranty from Silver Eagle Auto Mall She was also offered the opportunity to purchase an Extended Service Contract at that time She declined is writing. On 5/28/16, the husband/boyfriend of Ms*** came to the dealership He told me that Auto Zone told him that the vehicle has a bad Catalytic ConvertorAdvised at that time vehicle was purchased as is and referred to an outside Muffler Shop, *** *** Northmoor, MOHe requested at that time a different car Advised him that he was not on the loan and a different car was not a possibility. On 6/3/Ms*** came to the dealership with Father-in-Law *** ***Claimed that *** *** in NKC told them there were codes in the car’s computer for a Bad Catalytic Convertor I immediately had one of my technicians scan the car There were codes stored the memory of the car “Catalytic below Threshold” in memory and current codes for misfire in cylinder four My mechanic determined that the vehicle needed a Fuel Pressure Sensor to resolve that current problemWas willing to step in and help with that repair until I saw a horrible review on Google about our dealership and how bad of business we do I asked Ms*** why the review when I was trying to do the right thing Her response was, “Because I was pissed and wanted a different car”No way to act when I was trying to find resolution for something that I did not have to do. The facts are that between date of purchase 4/7/and 6/3/16, Ms*** put over 4,miles on vehicle At what point does Ms*** take responsibility of a vehicle that she purchased? Out of Goodwill, at my expense, our shop installed a Fuel Pressure Sensor on said vehicle on 6/8/ $($part and $labor)I don’t know of any dealership that would do that months and 4,miles later. In my opinion, all of these actions were an attempt for Ms*** to try to get a different car I did the right thing and said no. Respectfully,*** ***Sales Manager

I am rejecting this response because: The response does not represent an accurate description of the events that occurred and does not honor the contractual agreement that was secured by the cash deposit that was made on the motor home. There are several inaccuracies to the events that the business has described and are as follows:1. Arrival at 5:45 on 2/8/17 while it was dark outside.2. There was no discussion of the mechanical shape of the motorhome.3. The motor home was not looked at in detail.4. Mr. [redacted] told the salesperson he would be back in the next couple of days, stating that he wanted to take the motorhome to be inspected by a reputable mechanic.  An accurate description of these events are as follows:1. Arrival between 5:00 and 5:30 while it was still daylight outside with plenty of time to inspect the majority of the vehicle.2. There was a discussion of the mechanical shape of the motorhome. In fact, Mr. [redacted], the motorhome buyer was at the lot and explained that he had driven the motorhome personally from the region of purchase and stated that it ran and drove well with no major issues.3. The motor home was in fact looked at in great detail. As I stated previously, we arrived in the daylight with at least 30 minutes of thorough inspection. I looked through the interior of the motorhome, the exterior, climbed up the rear ladder and viewed the roof, and started the engine. Additionally, I even operated the power slide outs. Upon my inspection I noted an appropriate amount of weathering to the roof and exterior of the motorhome. I pointed out that the main exterior awning had been damaged and that it appeared that the vehicle had a scuff mark down the side where it may have hit something which resulted in the awning being damaged. The sales person acknowledged the damage and said he was unsure of what had occurred to cause the damage and thought that wind may have been responsible for the awning damage. On the interior of the motorhome, I pointed out that the roof had leaked at some point and that there was a soft spot in the floor near the refrigerator. The salesperson also responded to these comments and said the roof had been fixed because they had someone with a power washer up on the roof cleaning it and it did not leak any longer. He said he thought the soft spot in the floor was likely the result of the fridge sweating and or defrosting and leaking a little. Obviously, I had checked out most of the motorhome. The only thing I had not done was test drive the vehicle, check the A/C's and furnace function, or operated the water systems. 4. I gave the salesperson $300 dollars for a cash deposit, was given a receipt, and told him a specific date and time (2/10/17 at 12:00) that I would be back to test drive the vehicle. No price was ever discussed and I assumed that I would be paying asking price for the vehicle.  The cash deposit that was accepted by the dealership, at a minimum, represented a hold contract that expired only if I did not meet my obligation to return on the date and time agreed upon. The dealership did in fact call and state that there were mechanical issues and that they would be sending the RV back. I did initially thank them for the information but about 15 minutes after talking with them, I started to wonder if I was being duped. I immediately called them back and stated that I would still be interested in purchasing the vehicle in its present condition. They stated that it was actively being loaded on a wrecker and hauled off. As you can imagine this confirmed my suspicion that they were lying. I then told them that I had a hold contract on the vehicle that was binding due to the deposit that they accepted and that I would be there in the next few hours and they needed to produce evidence that backed up their story. I explained that if this were in fact the case, I would be happy to have my deposit returned and drop the issue. However, they never produced any evidence even after meeting with them in the office in person. This business has behaved unethically and illegally. They have continued to lie and deceive me through this entire process. I am an upstanding member of society and have a huge issue with the way they operate and I will not stand by and watch this occur without putting up a fight. This business does not deserve to be a member of the Revdex.com and I recommend they be removed from good standing with you. If they can offer no additional resolution to this matter I will have no option but to pursue legal action.

I was also told this vehicle would take me to home and work. On the day I purchase vehicle, it stalled on the highway and I could not move vehicle until one in a half week later, which I am still paying for that ticket now. All I want is for me to have a point a to point b vehicle which was sold to me not an mechanics special which every mom and pop dealership or mechanic has told me I had purchased from silver eagle. I don't have temp tags which I was supposed to get from silver eagle and an inspection which again silver eagle was supposed to provide. If the car does not start or run how can the state of missouri deem the vehicle worthy to be on the road.

Mr. H[redacted] arrived to our dealership l[redacted]ing for a vehicle that he said he could "drive to New York". Specifically this $400.00 Chevy Celebrity. He was told in great detail verbally and in writing that this particular vehicle was nowhere close to highway worthy. He insisted that he was in no hurry to get to New York and could get it fixed up and ready for everyday use in his own time and money. We at Silver Eagle Auto Mall tried to show other vehicles that he could even make a few payments on that would make it New York but Mr. H[redacted] refused. We feel we truthfully disclosed the repairs needed on the car and even tried to show Mr. H[redacted] other vehicles before he bought the $400.00 Chevrolet Celebrity.  Thank You Robert M[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: now silver eagle wants to change subject of this complaint, let's keep this original. I want silver eagle to acknowledge that the vehicle I was sold does not compare to what I was told, which is, it would help me get back and forth to work, daily trips only, point A to point B and back. I also want silver eagle to give me temporary tags to put on vehicle as well as give my vehicle the inspection required by the state of missouri. I have not driven the vehicle but one day which was purchasing day and vehicle never made it outside of 5 miles from dealership it broke down(stopped) on highway. I pushed vehicle to local Quick Trip gas station where it stayed for almost two weeks before I got it towed to my house. The vehicle still has not start or run. How is this all my $400 fault when I clearly was told this $400 vehicle would take me to home and work if this $400 vehicle never lasted 5 minutes(literally) of driving at 38mph

Aaron-tyquan H[redacted]
