I had brake service done.Complaint: extremely high parts cost, example-rear drums cost $25.00from an on-line supplier. their cost $69.55, charged $185.38 for labor to replace rear brake cylinders even after they were exposed during the brake repairs. I did not realize I was being taken advantage of until my son who is a mechanic in Alaska saw the bill .Iam a female senior citizen who cannot afford this we called silverlake automotive and asked for $300.00 off the bill they said no and the reason ther prices are higher than everybody else is becuase they are the best...there just the best at getting someones money!

Review: I brought my daughters car in for 2 front tire replacements and a new battery. When I picked up the car I was told that the car is to dangerous to drive and had to sigh a RED line notating that I accepted the car as dangerous as they told me the ball joint on drivers front was bad. They also notated that the brakes were ALMOST metal to metal. Being that the car was dangerous and she has 2 kids we brought it back the next day to fix the ball joint. After hours we were told that ball joint was fine and they sold her a brake job for same amount $350. How can one not know the truth of a DANGEROUS joint? Why did HOURS go by when the determination was made the prior day? How can a brake job cost $350? If rotors were still fine? They replaced the rotors anyway. I complained, they gave me $50 off ...I want another $200 back for erroneous info and deceptive practices. Rotors were fine and deceptively coerced us to return thinking we had a DANGEROUS car, which all of a sudden was fine. This is TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES TAKING ADVANTAGE OF WOMEN. If we had an incident our insurance would have denied a claim as I had to sign the RED line stating I knew the car was DANGEROUS...WHICH REALLY WASN'T...hours later that we PAID for..BEWARE...BEWARE....BEWAREDesired Settlement: I WANT $200 DOLLARS REFUNDED for having to go through this and it taking from 11 am to 4:30 pm to get the car back. They coerced me to come back to sell me another job at ridiculous price when there WASN'T A DANGEROUS BALL JOINT. I see what they wrote on the receipt to cover their butts. I cannot trust what they say ANYMORE when they LIED about a DANGEROUS SITUATION!!!

Review: I went in to inform about work done to my cars starter. They said they would look at it. Never did I sign anything authorizing them to work on my car let alone give it a oil change. Nor did I sign a single paper stating that I would be charged for them simpling looking at it. The manager that took my keys never had me sign anything and never told me they charge. He even admitted to that.Now my car is being held ransom for the price of the Oil change and the Diagnostic. How is this fair to me? If they would of told me it was 100 dollars to just look at it I would of went elsewhere. I spoke with [redacted] and his manager on the phone. They knew I was new to this area and still took advantage of me.Desired Settlement: I just want my car back considering they didn't fix it and I never authorized them to do a Oil change or charge me for the diagnostic. It is a 94 Oldsmobile Bravada.
