Silverside Medical Aid Network

On 7/10/15 I visited SILVERSIDE MEDICAL CENTER for a UTI infection. My experience that day went fine except that, after getting a shot on buttocks the nurse left the door open before I pulled my pants up and the opposite occuppied room door was open as well. Never the less I didn't make a fuss about it.
After 10 days my labs come back and had tested positive for gonorrhea(first time to ever have an STD). From the treatment my infection successfully cleared. I abstained from sex as advised for a total of abt three weeks. At abt 8/15/15 I had sex with my girl and unfortunately on 8/19/15 I noticed I had symptoms of infection again. On 8/21/15 I called SILVERSIDE MEDICAL CENTER for consultation and they told me I had to go in see a doctor. At 8/21/15 , 8:49pm after leaving work at 8:30pm I walked in and asked if they would still see me, which they agreed and I paid $105.00 consult fee.
( MAIN COMPLAIN)** At abt 9:50pm [redacted] (THE PHYSICIAN ASSITANT) Walked into the room, without even Saying Hello or introducing herself and as loud as she could started off with ; " I should not think I'll be running around collecting STDs and keep going back there for treatment and there is something called common sense that I should use, and stop having sex with a woman who is sleeping with many men" Well I was Shocked by her arrogance. I went on to tell her "I come to seek medical attention for the most part and I'll would really appreciate if she can treat me with respect and attend to my concern. I also requested her to stop judging me or my girlfriend based on My re-infection. Coz she basically called my girlfriend a [redacted] by referring to her " a woman who is running around having sex with many men" Oh my God! What a doctor? and her Poor patient. Hoping to be professionally respectfully attended, she instead continued to be very insulting, among other things "that I even had the guts to come in almost at closing time 9:00pm and I should understand that they are not an STD CLINIC to tend to people like me" She offered to give me contacts for a "Portar Center" where people like me go.
I told her I had had enough of her judgments and insults of me and requested her to let the original Doctor(who was still in the office) I saw on 7/17/15 to see me which she respond by " he is not going to see you, you will only have me or you can leave. I asked her what her Name or title was (Doctor ,Nurse, NP, PA) since she was way too UNPROFESSIONAL and INAPPROPRIATE , but she replied by saying "that's here nor there "
I tried requesting her again to focus on at least offering me treatment ( coz Im now thinking I just spent $105.00 too be insulted and denied care by a "a doctor") She informed me again she had to dish medical "advise" INSULTS before CARE and If I didn't like it I can leave.
With no options left I got up from the uncomfortable doctors bed ,She yanked the door open, showed me out and from the hallway yelled for to the lady at the Counter to refund me back the consultation fee. Thanks to her, she didn't charge me for her INSULTS. I got my $105.00 back and also Counter lady who looked dismayed by What happened kindly told me the anonymous "doctor's" name(Marie) and her title and looked apologetic.
All in all SILVERSIDE MEDICAL CENTER is an old urgent Care Center that has probably lost its way over time. We Now know it's not an STD CLINIC, don't even bother unless you like insult. As for the PHYSICIAN ASSITANT [redacted], She should seek the proper Training on patient Care or pliz just stay home for sake of SMC, patients. On privacy Please keep your patients info. and rooms Private.
