I had rented two different storage units with these people. I am moving to a different town and want to move out of the two units and get my security deposits back. The woman who runs this place refuses to do her job and check me out of the units in her computer system and return my deposits. She will not answer the phone and does not respond to attempts to contact.
After calling probably 15 times, leaving multiple messages and physically stopping in to the office and speaking with her employee multiple times I finally got her to check me out of one of the units. She has not checked me out of the second unit yet. I continue to get notifications that my bill is due in a few days. I tried to call this morning and she again did not answer. I can't even leave a voice mail because her voice mail inbox is full. I called probably 10 times this morning and she turned her phone off instead of answering.
I had to call my credit card company and place a block against this vendor making charges to my account to avoid paying rent that I did not owe.
On another note to exemplify how lazy this woman is. The mini storage is completely derelict and unmaintained. Garbage gets dumped there and sits for months upon months. Theres a busted up old dishwasher with a cat living in it that has been sitting next to one of my units for the better part of a year. There are homeless people and stray animals in the place. It's complletely unmaintained and disguisting because no one does anything, there is no work that occurs at this business.
To Whom It May Concern,We received a letter on August 5 of this year. In this letter, we were informed that one of our customers was not happy with our service stating that we would not return his deposits. We checked him out of one of his units and returned his deposit on July 16 of this year. Although for his other unit he contacted us while we were out of the state for a family emergency. He also goes and states that the facilities are "the dirtiest" in town. As soon as we got word of the stray cat living in the dishwasher, we inspected it and threw it away. There was no sign of a stray in there. The corner where we place large items that do not fit or can not be thrown away via dump truck is the stuff we ourselves clean up. Unfortunately, it piled up on us with more than we had left it with. My son and I also go around maintaining the weeds as much as we can. he works on the front and I work on the back so the work is split evenly. We DEARLY apologize for the service given towards the person who complaint we know we are better than that it was just a rough time for us.Sincerely, Juanita, Manager at Silverthorne Mini Storage
