Dear [redacted], I am writing to you in regards to Mr. [redacted]...

complaint ID# [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] had his 1965 Ford Mustang towed to my shop on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 for a “no start” condition as well as the windshield wipers not working. We checked Mr. [redacted] car and called him to let him know that his car needs the carburetor rebuilt or a new after-market carburetor can be ordered and installed. Mr. [redacted] called me back and authorized us to replace his old carburetor with a new after-market carburetor. I gave Mr. [redacted] an estimate as follows: Diagnostic: $ 99.00 New after-market carburetor: $495.00 Installation mounting kit: $ 95.00 Labor: $198.00 Total cost: $887.00 + shop supplies + tax Mr. [redacted] agreed to the estimate and signed the written estimate. We then preceded working on his car. As for Mr. [redacted] complaint that we left a hose from his engine loose next to the carburetor, this hose is for the old carburetor chock system and cannot be used for the new carburetor. The new after-market carburetor comes with an electric chock system. My mechanic and I checked the manual and connection we performed was correct. As it is stated in the manual we knew this was not a dangerous connection. I have been in business for over 35 years and I would not put my customers in danger. On Tuesday, July 14, 2015 Mr. [redacted] called me in the morning and was very rude using profanity and told me that we did not do the carburetor installation correctly. He also put horrible review on multiple social media sites. I asked Mr. [redacted] to bring the car back and we could re-check our work. On the afternoon of Friday, July 17, 2015, Mr. [redacted] brought in his car for us to recheck. I explained to Mr. [redacted] that the loose hose next to the carburetor was for the old carburetor chock system and cannot be used for the new carburetor. I also explained the ground wire connection he complained to you about. He also complained that the PCV hose should be put in the front of the carburetor and not the back and we made that change with a brand new hose for no extra cost. Mr. [redacted] was then satisfied with our work. Please see the written estimate Mr. [redacted] signed. As a business owner for many years and not having any complaints with our work, I feel that Mr. [redacted] was not a professional customer and should have just come in to deal with the issue at hand before using profanity on me, writing horrible reviews on social media and complaining to the Revdex.com. It is clear that after he did finally return to our shop the issue at hand was resolved. If you have any questions regarding this matter please feel free to contact me. Thank you, Amin A[redacted]
