I have rented and apartment from Simco for three years now. The first two years were great and I truly believed that Simco cared about its residents. Then we changed property management and all the nice things I believed Simco to be doing went away. It was never the company that cared, it was my property manager. My new manager is lazy and poorly communicates with the residents and her staff. This has resulted in our pool being closed for a month, rude emails, and maintenance entering my apartment while I was showering when the situation could have been avoided. Anytime maintenance has to do something in my unit they leave behind a huge mess for me to clean up and they only occasionally leave a note that they were there while I am not home. I have requested that a chain be put on my door and was denied that request. I have been told that I am not allowed to open my blinds because they don't like my curtains. I have spoken to corporate on several occasions and they are rude and unsympathetic. None of my issues are ever treated seriously. I always walk away feeling like my concerns are unimportant and they want me to feel like I am not right to feel the way I do. I am thoroughly disgusted with this entire corporation and would not recommend that anyone move into any of their properties.
