stated by the Buainess I have reviewed all attached documents along with customer historyAs you can see in the comments on the Vehicle Report Card, Kemp Ford added additional notes, the Pinion Seal nor differential are not part of the Report Card therefore it isn’t something Simi Valley Ford is responsible forOur Quick Lane techs are to check everything listed, if in fact they find additional concerns or leaks they will document it, but it in't part of the complimentary Multi PointIt is clearly noted by Kemp Ford that the pinion seal is starting to leak?? Possible residue or sweating? As seen in our Multi Point Inspection, technician inspected all components listed, (he would not document sweating or oil residue as it may be mis-leading and is not part of the multipoint inspection) As you will see Pinion Seal nor differential is not a listed component As seen in Kemp Fords Multi Point Inspection, there is no way to verify that this MPI that was performed belongs to customers vehicle as it is not documented properly with a vehicle ID nor customer name, and it not competed, there are several areas not checked off, and no signatures On both Multi Point Inspection sheets tire measurements and brake measurements seem to mirror one another as well as the battery Looking at his complete history, this is a bit confusingI have detailed all visits and repairs along with cost RO# - Customer came in for a COMPLIMENTARY oil change and paid for a tire rotation - Customer Paid $ RO# - Customer had Fuel filter & Trans fluid exchange performed (both maintenance items) - Customer paid $Customer also had a fueling concern which was looked at & diagnosed at no charge, and was given a Complimentary Rental car RO# - Customer had a Fueling concern - fuel tank replaced under warranty - Customer paid $Customer also had a recall performed and was given a complimentary rental car totaling $(paid by dealer) After reviewing his complete file and history, Customer has paid a total of $for maintenance items, NOT $that he is requestingAny additional repairs performed at another dealership are customer responsibility I do not feel Simi Valley Ford was negligent in any wayCustomer was very difficult to deal with, but I feel we went on and beyond to take care of himSimi Valley Ford & Ford Motor Company has endured total costs of $for rental cars, complimentary oil change & discountsWe will not take on any additional cost for repairs that were approved and performed properly Sincerely, [redacted] Simi Valley Ford Service Director

I have reviewed the customers invoice and there would be absolutely no reason for Simi Valley Ford to pay for any of these repairsCustomer was never charged for the Pumping Fuel concern, not sure why the customer would feel a brake light going out would be SImi Valley Fords responsability, and as for the Pinion Seal being replaced, please see technician notes, it states the pinion seal was replaced per previous diag, Simi Valley Ford never charged customer for any of these repairs, therefore we will not reimburse customer for any rerpairs performed at Kemp nor the previous repair here at Simi Valley Ford

I am rejecting this response because:
First, the brake light is a safety issue. The fact that Simi Valley Ford technicians said it was fine when it wasn't is a safety hazard. The service manager had herself, a technician and the service advisor all said the fuel tank could not be fixed. Upon taking our vehicle to Kemp Ford, the vehicle was assessed and the problem fixed, verifying the incompetence of Simi Valley Ford. Lastly it doesn't matter if the rear pinion was fixed before, the fact of the matter was that Simi Valley Ford technicians did a poor job of inspecting the vehicle and it needed to be fixed again, which made our vehicle unsafe to use. Lying about service and performed services is extremely unprofessional and makes Simi Valley Ford service center's reputation untrustworthy and unreliable. The reason we are asking for payment for the Kemp Ford visit is because they did everything Simi Valley Ford was supposed to do, and even if a service is offered for free, it should be performed like any other.

As seen in our Multi Point Inspection, technician 150 inspected all components listed, (he would not document sweating or oil residue as it may be mis-leading and is not part of the multipoint inspection) As you will see Pinion Seal nor differential is not a listed component

On both Multi Point Inspection sheets tire measurements and brake measurements seem to mirror one another as well as the battery.
Looking at his complete history, this is a bit confusing. I have detailed all visits and repairs along with cost.

RO# 70336 - Customer came in for a COMPLIMENTARY oil change and paid 14.95 for a tire rotation -  Customer Paid $14.95

RO# 70350 - Customer had Fuel filter & Trans fluid exchange performed (both maintenance items) - Customer paid $200.40
Customer also had a fueling concern which was looked at & diagnosed at no charge, and was given a Complimentary Rental car.

RO# 68462 - Customer had a Fueling concern - fuel tank replaced under warranty - Customer paid $0
Customer also had a recall performed and was given a complimentary rental car totaling $420.00 (paid by dealer)

After reviewing his complete file and history, Customer has paid a total of $215.50 for maintenance items, NOT $351.84 that he is requesting. Any additional repairs performed at another dealership are customer responsibility.  I do not feel Simi Valley Ford was negligent in any way. Customer was very difficult to deal with, but I feel we went on and beyond to take care of him. Simi Valley Ford & Ford Motor Company has endured total costs of $543.89 for rental cars, complimentary oil change & discounts. We will not take on any additional cost for repairs that were approved and performed properly.

Review: Poor customer service, job negligence, disrespectful, unprofessional, and overall dishonesty. [redacted] the service advisor, checked off a series of points that had supposedly been inspected, and also lied about past conversations. [redacted] also told us that our warranty did not cover the repare needed to make our vehicle work properly, and that Simi Valley Ford service center was not going to do anything about it. Then when we tried to contact Simi Valley Ford customer service, we were hung up on several times by Deana while discussing our complaints about [redacted] as well as after being transferred to non existent personnel. Upon taking the vehicle to another nearby Ford dealership for service second opinion, it was discovered that several things that had been okay'd by Simi Valley Ford were not correct. Also, the other dealership fixed these problems without delay. However, they had to charge the service fee for the same services supposedly rendered by Simi Valley Ford. We are asking for compensation for these funds that we had to pay due to Simi Valley Ford's negligence.Desired Settlement: A thorough inspection of dealerships business ethics, procedures, and employees involved in complaint ([redacted] the service advisor, Deana the service director), as well as combined total of $351.84 refund for services provided from a sister dealership, due to negligence of Simi Valley Ford. We have proof if requested by dealership.

Review: Absolutely horrible, unprofessional, and irresponsible customer service. Went in on May 10th to trade in my car and purchase a 2014 Ford F150. Got to the paperwork phase and the numbers didn't look quite right so the "sales manager" Chris came over. He offered me an insulting appraisal for my trade in that was at least $3000 lower than expected. I told him this wouldn't work and he told me he'd look over the numbers and make something work out. Over a week passed and no phone call. I finally called in myself and was "helped" by John Leech. Every single time we spoke he said he'd check on it and call me back and he never did, I kept having to call him. It was the most disrespectful disregard of my time that I have ever experienced from a dealership. They should be ashamed that I was working harder to sell me this car than they were. Finally I called and asked to speak with Chris again and he pulled the exact same stunt on me. He kept rushing me off the phone and telling me he'd look at the numbers again (which John lost and said only Chris had access to). I again had to call four hours later to check on the numbers and he still hadn't done a thing. I have been in sales for over 10 years and this kind of practice is what puts people out of jobs. These guys should be embarrassed that they have such unprofessional people representing him. Now we are almost 2 weeks later and no deal has been presented. Just awful!Desired Settlement: I want someone to contact me directly with a proper proposal that matches what was told to me by the "sales manager" that he would get. $0 down, and under $650 a month on a V6 2014 Ford EcoBoost F150, white in color, 4 door.

In 2009 we purchased a 2008 Ford Explorer from Galpin Ford in San Fernando Valley,Ca. When we purchased the vehicle we also paid an extra $1500 for the extended service plan/warranty. We took our vehicle to Simi Valley Ford for service because we live in Simi Valley,Ca. Since day one when we would shift gears from reverse to drive the entire vehicle would jerk or jolt. Everytime I took the vehicle in for an oil change or maintenance (while the vehicle was still under warranty) I told the service advisers from Simi Valley Ford about the jerking/jolting when we shift from reverse to drive. Each time they told me that they would have there technicians check it out and each time they told me that they could not find anything wrong with the vehicle. I have the documentation to back up my claims. I have done my research on Ford Explorer's and it seems as though Ford knows about faulty transmission problems in there Exploer designs and they aren't doing anything about it. No recalls....nothing. Anyways, back to Simi Valley Ford as soon as my extended service plan/ warranty expired they told me the jerking/jolting was being caused by a faulty transmission and that the repairs would cost me $4500. I spoke to the service manager about my car and after I spoke to the service manager I asked to speak to the technician who worked on my car. The service manager would not let me speak to the tecnician without her speaking for him. Also when they first told me that I needed a rebuilt/new transmission and that it would cost me $4500 they hadn't even had a so-called transmission technician take a look at my car so how could they say I needed a new or rebuilt transmission if they hadn't even had a trsansmission specialist take a look at my car. I have even contacted Ford motor company and talked to them about a goodwill repair. There response was since the extended service plan/warranty has expired the cost of repairs are no longer covered and I am responsible for all repairs. And one last thing the next time I took my vehicle in for service they had no record of my vehicle or of me as a customer. As an American and as a U.S. Veteran I have always tried to support American companies especially Ford motors but this whole expeirence has left me with a really bad taste in my mouth and I can no longer support or recommend Simi Valley Ford or Ford motor company.

Review: I bought a used truck upon driving off lot my girlfriend was following me she informed me that none of my brake lights worked, then I noticed my abs light came on I brought the car back to dealership they worked on it until closing and then informed me that the brake lights worked but now the blinkers did not and the abs light was still on they told me that they ran a test on the abs but the computer said there was no problem with brakes but to bring it back since they were closing and atleast I had brake light .after returning to get blinkers fixed they informed me that their computer entry stated that only a bulb was out and that it was fixed nothing in computer about all brake lights out and abs light and blinkers their computer entry stated bulb replaced,I was shocked that someone put that info in computer because it was false.now they have refused to fix blinkers or address abs lightDesired Settlement: fix blinkers and figure out why abs light is on

Review: There was an $80 rebate promised for a set of 4 tires with in 6 weeks and it has been 6 months and the rebate has not come. I moved and I contacted Ford Rebates Immediately to report my change of address, along with the Post Office. Ford Rebate Center told me that they can not change the address that my check is being mailed to. It has been 6 months and I have not gotten a rebate and the redemption center keeps saying sorry you have to wait. I have spoken with [redacted] at the Rebate Redemption Headquarters and was promised a call back last week, which did not happen. Simi Valley Ford's Rebate process is faulty and I have been burned on $80 on a set of tires. My suggestion is not to purchase tires from Simi Valley Ford that have rebates attached.Desired Settlement: I would like my $80 rebate. The Rebate number is KH273274

Response:

The consumer purchased four tires from Simi Valley Ford on 2/9/13 on RO 42625. At that time a rebate request was submitted to Ford's Rebate Headquarters for $80. We have contacted Ford's Rebate Headquarters and they provided the following information:

The consumer contacted Ford's Rebate Headquarters on 3/20/13 and advised them she had moved and asked to update the address. Ford advised the consumer at that time that the check had already been approved and submitted to the clearing house and no changes could be made. Ford advised her to wait 8 weeks and if the check did not get forwarded to her new address by the Post Office, to call back and they would have to reissue the check.

The consumer contacted Ford's Rebate Headquarters again on 5/7/13 and advised them she still had not received the rebate. Ford researched and found that the check had not been cashed, they have updated the consumer's address to:

PO Box [redacted]

Canoga Park, CA 91309

Per Karen at Ford Rebate Headquarters they reissued the check and sent it to the clearing house on 5/24/13 and Ms. Nagy will receive the rebate within 6 weeks from 5/24/13.

If there is any additional information we can provide, please let us know.

I went back and forth for about 3 or 4 days to wrap up terms on the specific Ford my wife and I were going to aquire. Patti had emailed me her best price on our lease would be $449 per month including all taxes and fees, with zero drive off. I asked her to email me the sticker to verify the vehicle did in fact have what she claimed and what we required. She said she would, but she didn't. I finally found out through her colleague that they would not honor the price she quoted and I was given a new price of $495 per month for the Ford we asked for. The whole time Patti was trying to get me to come in to finalize things, knowing that I would not get the price she quoted. This is the worst bait and switch I have ever experienced and I never even got an apology. Beware of Simi Valley Ford. Don't waste your time. Find a dealership that employs professionals with integrity.
