Terrible service from Ron and Don. The first time the car had an ignition issue, it ended up being the Distributor cap.. it was a $300 distributor cap, Don "added stabilant and cleaned the wires within the distributor. Claimed car was fine, we got it home and a day later the car had the same issue over again, rather then spend more money on diagnostics I called a friend of mine who has far more years working on volvos than Don does. He said to change the cap, it was likely cracked.. well low and behold.. it was, I took the old cap off put a new one (black cap vs red showing it was replaced after don did work and came from a AM parts vendor.
Don calls me a Liar, saying we never bought the distributor cap, yet my GF as innocent and honest as she is can claim we did and yet don still calls us liars.
Well once again, being volvo "specialist" I gave Don another chance to do the timing on the 242 and adjust the clutch, look at everything and make sure it was in good operating order, spending money was not an issue and we already told this to don and ron.
However they MISSED my ignition timing and send my gf home in a car that could have killed her when she went to get on the highway. How the hell do you miss ignition timing when the job is the timing of the car? Which includes both ignitions and cam timing.
They also missed or tightened my clutch so much that my clutch fork broke 2 days later, don refuses to remedy the situation, he fixed the ignition timing but refuses any money back on THEIR Mistake, they admit they missed the clutch for and are offering me 2 hours labor back on what is well over a 7 hour job minimum. We will not EVER be taking our car back to don and if you own a volvo I think you should do the same. Ever since he lost his wife its apparent Don should have followed her to the grave. Running a business is not for him anymore, assaults his customers and then lies to the police about it. [redacted] and trash is all you will find over on Columbia in Pasco.
