This letter is in response to a recent complaint submitted regarding our businessIn the complaint the customer stated that paint was missing from his front fender after we had done a rear tire repair. We did take pictures of the bike when he brought it in to us. I have enclosed those
pictures. The front fender, which he states is missing paint, obviously shows some damage. He has requested that we strip the fender and repaint it to take care of this issue. However we are unable to take these measures to repair the fender. The fender will not hold the paint if it is repaired in this manner due to the apparent rusting foundAlso enclosed is the release which the customer did sign at the time he dropped the bike off to us for repair that releases us from any liability of damage to the vehicle. When he picked it up from us he also signed the release that states he is satisfied with the work performed and took possession of the motorcycleHowever, as a good faith measure for a first time customer we have offered to replace the fender with a new one straight from H-D factory at no cost to the customer. The fender will be shipped directly from Harley Davidson with the same paint code as the bike came with originally. Please allow to weeks for part to arriveBy accepting this offer Cowboy Harley will be released from any further liability and responsibility for the fender that is being repaired
