SimonMed Imaging

I had several imaging services on 5/1/2018 and I already knew my copayment was $25.00 as advised by my insurance company ***, when I called them to verify coverage. At time of service they overcharged me $182.27, if I didn't pay it, I couldn't have the exams done. They told me that they would send a check after the claim was processed and paid. In June they sent me a bill for $700.09. I called *** -Independence & they told me that I wasn't responsible for that bill, they had already paid Simonmed the rates that were expected by contract. *** representative called Simonmed and was told that the claim was going to be resubmitted, to wait between 4-6weeks and I would get my money back. This was July, 25th. After waiting and not getting my money back I called 4 times again August 29th, October 8th, December 12th and always the same story: wait 4-6 weeks.

My last call was 12/26/18, *** reached to *** that has contract with SimonMed Florida, and they told me that SimonMed was paid the rates that were expected by contract and Simonmed shouldn't been trying to resubmit the claim or send me any bill and my copayment was indeed only $25.00. It seems that SimonMed isn't abiding by the contract they have with *** and is trying to get around overcharging me.

8 months have passed, 5 conference calls have been done between me, *** and SimonMed, my time was wasted on these long calls and so far I haven't received my whole money back. They send me a check for $25.00 in November but the amount they overcharged me was $157.27, so they still owe me $132.27.
