From: Kieko A***Date: Thu, Dec 14, at 11:AMSubject: Regarding Revdex.com complaint ID [redacted] between SimplerWebs and [redacted] To: [redacted] @myRevdex.com.orgGood morning [redacted] ,First and foremost, thank you for providing me with a lot of information on how to proceed with the complaintI will try to do my best to provide you with as much information as possible without making you read a book :-)This is regarding the complaint made by [redacted] .COM against SimplerWebs that was assigned a complaint ID of [redacted] .Let me please start by stating the following points: [redacted] is another business (My Son's Freelancing Business) with a focus of providing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) service[redacted] Address is: [redacted] ***, Reading, PA [redacted] Phone number is: ###-###-####SimplerWebs is my business that mostly focuses on providing web design servicesSimplerWebs Address is: [redacted] , Reading, PA ***SimplerWebs phone number is: ###-###-####As you can see from the above information, the above business are two different entities, with two different owners and addressThe valid agreement and most email communication will show that SimplerWebs was hired to perform the requested work, and not [redacted] [redacted] contacted SimplerWebs requesting for a site audit first which is at a costWhen I contacted [redacted] to provide him with more details about what an [redacted] audit and let him know that it is a fee based service, [redacted] wanted to have the audit performed for free, therefore, I informed AFRICANSINMIX that I cannot give the audit for free because it requires a lot of time to go through the website and look at the design, layout, Technical and On-Page search engines optimization issues. Then I briefly explained to [redacted] (without giving too much details about the issues for free), after he had explained to me what he wanted his website to do and he doesn't want to focus on people in AfricaI explained to him that the domain name and what he told me would actually give the wrong idea to search engines and people visiting the websiteThat is when I recommended that he choose another domain that is not Geo location specific. There was a verbal agreement that he would pay $to help him research a domain nameIt took about days checking the list of domains he talked about and to come up with [redacted] .comThat is when he decided to hire me to transfer the content of [redacted] .COM to the new domain: [redacted] .COM.There are things in this email:The attached (PDF) proposal/agreement (between SimplerWebs and [redacted] )for the service requested from SimplerWebs with questions by the complainer and my response where you'll see that every time he asks a question about any service related to SEO, I reply with a 'No' if the questioned service was not part of [redacted] servicesA screenshot if him first contacting SimplerWebsAn the below email I received with him requesting the site to look like a screenshot he took, after I have already made the layout changes he first requestedThe reason he is mad is because he kept asking for services that were not included (which were spelled out in the agreement) and for me categorically refusing to do the additional work for free.I read his complaints and his statement especially the one where he clai [redacted] he moved the site hi**elfWell, since he is the person who filed a complaint, he need to show proof that what he clai [redacted] he did actually is trueLuckily, on every web server, this is a log that tracks and record everything someone did including the IP address and if during your investigation you look at the log and interpret it, you'll see that I am the one who performed the work I was hired to do.I've had people try in any way to get services for free, or get a $worth of work for 1cent, and honestly, I didn't accept that nor will I startTrying to get additional professional services from SimplerWebs was not the only attempt performed by [redacted] Another company, ' [redacted] Web Solutions' also had similar unprofessional experience with [redacted] trying to get more than what they paid for, for freeI have such email if you need it.If something that is included in the agreement was missed (and there is one for the I [redacted] Pro component), it is because I have requested the required information and I didn't receive it completely.Screenshot of the record when [redacted] contacted me is belowIf you have any question or need anything else, please either email me at [email protected], or call me at ###-###-####.I have many Clients that can speak of their experience with SimplerWebs and if you need their phone number, I would be more than happy to oblige provided I get their permission first. One favor pleaseCan you please reply to this email so I can make sure you received the information? First and foremost, Client is welcome to email info@simplerwebs to discuss anything related to what was part of the contract. Anything else related to [redacted], [redacted], and such will not be answered.Response to question 1: On 08-05/2017, I sent an email to the client in response to client questioning the template used, were I made the statement 'I asked you which ite** or modules you want the landing page to show first and didn't get a response to that'.Client can put any module on the left or on the right side of the template, however, when I asked the question as to which module client wants to have, no answer was received, but instead, I get resquests related to [redacted] services, which client opted out. I can't guess nor read client's mind.Response to question 2: I created the menus 'COMMUNITY | EVENT TICKETS | FASHION and so on' using menus that were already setup. Even though I've used the correct 'Categories in Table/Blog view' settings, some of the URLs are still not showing as desired by Client. The link for the guide provided by client are for the template and not for the DJ-Classied. I know how to add [redacted], change browser title and configure the template, so no need to include those links. If you want a [redacted] added to the website, Client will have to provide the [redacted]If Client wants assistance in resolving the URL (showing categories), then I'll need permission to open a ticket on behalf of the client with DJ-Classified developer(s) for I've checked their FAQ and Forum and no answer was found.Note - This is what [redacted] (Mr[redacted]com) said:"0. Product/Category IDs have no significant impact on SEO. Or maybe even no impact at all. 1. The "item" part can be removed in [redacted] settings in DJ-Catalog2 configuration. 2. Product and Category IDs are required in component URLs, because only based on them the component can recognize which product or category are we dealing with. You may observe exactly the same behaviour with Article and Category IDs in Content component (com_content). We could of course change that, but it would be quite serious modification. What's more - it might seriously affect URLs on already existing websites that are using DJ-Catalog2. So I'm not saying no, because it see** like a nice idea, but it would surely take some time to get rid of IDs from URLs. 3. You cannot shorten URLs, so that they don't contain sub-category part, however you could assign the sub-category to your menu - as separate menu item. As a result, you will replace "my-catalog" part with the alias of your newly created menu item, e.g.:www.example.com/my-sub-category/my-item/"Response to question 3. We didn't install [redacted] for it was already installed on [redacted].com. If client remembers, we transfered [redacted].com with all existing content, components, modules, plugins, and so on, to [redacted] including [redacted]. We configured [redacted] according to website's site ID.If you look at the [redacted] options, you'll see the following Note:"NOTE: If you already have a site ID from a previous installation and you wish to retain all your settings then enter the site ID above otherwise you may use a new site ID to perform a new installation. Changing the site ID will lose all settings, apps, and purchases."Again, all that is needed to configure [redacted] on [redacted].com is the Site ID with properly configured account and settings. Sometimes, bugs and issues with a plugin or component do happen and when they do, client is responsible to contact the developer and not SimplerWebs.Joomla doesn't have an index.html per say but uses index.php. [redacted] states that you need to copy and past the site's ID inside the head tag within index.php. But since the original [redacted] has [redacted] component installed, it was also transfered to [redacted].com.Again, there are two ways of setting up SumeMoa) Inserting the correct Site id within the head tag of index.phpb) Using the installed [redacted].com has [redacted] configured with the following Site id:[redacted]If the above Site Id is not the correct one, then all the Client has to do is login to his [redacted] account, properly configure and setup [redacted], then provide SimplerWebs with the correct Site id.Response to question 4. Regarding https://www.[redacted].com/t/jI4VZqNSHp3 - This is related to [redacted] Webmasters Tools. In [redacted] Configuration for [redacted] Webmasters & Analytics, the component needs the following information:Preferred domain (Heading): [redacted] Analytics site domain: https://[redacted].com[redacted] Webmasters site domain: https://[redacted].com[redacted] Application credentials (Heading):[redacted] ApiKey: Client has to provide that information[redacted] Client ID: Client has to provide that information[redacted] secret code: Client has to provide that information[redacted] Analytics tracking code (Heading)Include [redacted] Analytics snippet: No/YesCode for [redacted] Analytics: Client has to provide that informationRegarding [redacted] - If you are talking about [redacted] - [redacted], log back in and you'll see that it crawled [redacted].comRegarding https://www.[redacted] - What we are talking about here is [redacted] - [redacted] Analytics stats and if you log in, you'll see that the preferred domain I setup for [redacted] Analytics and Webmaster Tool is https://[redacted].com therefore client needs to contact the developer.Don't forget to look at the response to question 4 where it states that client needs to provide the correct information neededResponse to question 5 - What the Client sent on 06-11-2017, in multiple emails (we have the copies), are the cPanel login, and two word documents. When designing a website, it is the client responsibility to provide the web design company with all the images, logo, content (text/paragraph).As far as the [redacted] is concerned, all the client had to do is to provide SimplerWebs with the [redacted] and we could've easily uploaded it through FTP. Client did however provide us later on with a logo. There is a difference between a logo and a [redacted]. The file that is needed to use as a [redacted] is called [redacted].ico (note the 'ico' extension). This is to be provided by the client and not created by SimplerWebs.Regarding https://www.[redacted].com/t/[redacted] - Client did provide us with the cPanel login credentials. But that was to transfer the site. If we ever contacted Siteground cPanel to solve an issue for you, it was at our descrition and we wanted to help the client out, but ever since client started demanding things related to [redacted] which he opted out, SimplerWebs decided to no longer perform additional task not covered for freeRegarding https://www.[redacted].com/t/[redacted] - If client is talking about the 'FREE CLASSIFIED ADS FOR CARS, JOBS, REAL ESTATE AND EVERYTHING ELSE', Remember that SimplerWebs did a site transfer, and not a complete redesign. So whatever modules existed from the OLD website, it will transfer over to the new site. If client doesn't want that heading or option, all client has to do is to disable that feature. Response to question 6. [redacted] not configure as paid for:Regarding https://www.[redacted].com/t/[redacted] - Not sure what the client means by '[redacted] not configured as paid for'. If client goes to [redacted] Setting/General, client will see the (Add 'alt' tag to images automatically) setup as 'Only when not specified', which is the propert setup for the 'Optimize Image'.Regarding https://www.[redacted].com/t/[redacted] - Those settings are correctRegarding https://www.[redacted].com/t/[redacted] - Unfortunately, the forum doesn't have an answer on how to reset 'Keyword Performance'. iJoomla doesn't have a 'Live Chat' feature, thus I couldn't ask them the question and their documentation doesn't mention anything. Client needs to contact iJoomlahttps://www.[redacted].com/t/[redacted] - When adding images to article/post, there are two ways to do that.1) Adding an image using the editor and place it anywhere within the content2) Or use the images feature(s) found under the 'Image and Links' tab from article page. From what I understand, doing so will populate the information found under 'Optimize Image' of [redacted]Answer to question 7. Client has a system plugin called '[redacted] Optimize' that is installed but needs to be enabled and properly configured. Doing so for the Client was not part of the final agreement not including any [redacted] servicesRegarding [redacted] console and preferred domain setup - This goes outside the agreed work/contract. This is part of the [redacted] services we offer which client opted out.Regarding the Setup of [redacted] Analytics for the new domain, this is also part of [redacted] services we offer but Client opted out.Regarding https://www.[redacted].com/t/[redacted] - Client needs to understand that the work agreement was between SimplerWebs and the Client. [redacted] is in the business of providing [redacted] services. Client contact SimplerWebs for the work, and not [redacted]. Client should look at the final agreement which does not include anything related to SEO. What Client is referring too are the additional work that will be performed under the [redacted] services umbrellaRegarding https://www.[redacted].com/t/[redacted] - Client should show the full final agreement under SimplerWebsRegarding https://www.[redacted].com/t/[redacted] - Look at the 'Description' referring to Site moveAnswer to question 8. If registering or login in using a desktop or laptop works fine but not on a phone or other smart devices it doesn't work, client needs to provide more details of the issue, such as error(s). Then we can recommend the best action to take.Regarding 9. Not sure what client means by 'Disclaimer' because I don't see anything on [redacted].com and [redacted].com that says 'Disclaimer'. What we see under 'COMPANY INFO' are:Terms of UsePrivacy PolicyUser SafetyContent or any verbiage found in a document, page or post or after clicking on the above mentioned links are Client's responsibility.Answer to question 10. The '2017' shown under the copyright is something that Client will have to change a day before a new year. I am sure Client knows how to change that but just in case, Client can make the change by going System/Global Configuration and under the 'Site' tab, scroll down and inter the correct information in the 'Content Rights' box. Answer to question 11. The Competitive analysis falls under '[redacted] Services' which client opted out. [redacted] is not a one time services (except for an [redacted] audit) but an ongoing service and there is no way we could've agreed to perform a monthly service for the $700 one time cost Answer to question 12. This is also part of an [redacted] services not only offered by SimplerWebs, but by most of [redacted] companies.Answer to question 13. This is also part of [redacted] services which Client opted out at the end. Answer to question 14. This error happens when someone uses a QuickStart package to install Joomla plus a theme. Sometimes you see the error when using the QuickStart option and then delete the demo content that was created or added by the user with ID 88. Note that sometimes, if a website has K2 installed, this error might be seen. Many big template developer offer the QuickStart package, or a Standolone Template Standalone. There are various ways of fixing this error such code hacking (not recommended), or removing the non-existant user via the Database. Support for issue(s) not related to the job performed was not part of the work paid by Client.
