So I'm a server and so far Iv'e had 2 pay out of my own pocket 4 people's checks because people fly out the door saying that they're all set! Only 2 find out they have left expired simplies. Enough with these stupid coupons they make a ton of money banking people won't use them in time. Just this week I told 4 tables they couldn't use them, total$300 so what does that tell ya. Most people receive these as gifts so we don't have receipts 4 these.

I have left several e-mail and phone messages regarding my expired Certificates. To date, I have not received any response. Certificates just expired on 11/1/2019. Tried to use on 11/7/19, merchant would not accept.

Please confirm the correct number to rectify this matter is in fact (570) 283-2933

Contact number is !-570-510-0893. Its also illegal to have a expiration less than 5 years.

January 10, 2017Dear *** *** ,We are responding to a complaint ID *** and copy attached for your reviewWe are always sorry to hear about any of the gift certificates that are never redeemed by said recipients, however, the Company has closed the operations in the Albany,
NY markets back in 2010, and the consumer has obviously never used their certificates within the clearly indicated time period of expiration, which was printed upon each Simply Certificate sold at that or any of our locations. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us.Sincerely yours ,Robert L

I have been trying to reach this company also.I realized that my certificate expired November and I put out more money because there website said if it expired that you could send in a money order that would pay for a new certificate and postage. So that is what I did. Well it looks like I lost that also.I have been calling that company for months and they do not return my phone call.I will be calling the Revdex.com soon . Do not buy from them. SCAMMERS!!!!!

Review: I recently purchased $150.00 of Simply certificates on their website as Christmas presents for my family. These certificates can be used at local restaurants and entertainment facilities. On the website, the option is provided to select the region where you would like the certificate information for. I selected the [redacted] Capital region as I live in that area, as do the family members that were recipients of these gifts. When the certificates came, the pamphlet of information provided for where they can be used was for the [redacted] NY region. I simply thought the company had sent me the incorrect pamphlets, however, I have now learned that there are no locations in the [redacted] Capital region that will accept these certificates. If you look further into the website, it states that the dining and entertainment certificates are not available in this region. I have attempted to contact the number available to reach the company; this is no longer in service. I sent an email to the corporate sales email that is provided at the bottom of their contact page; this email has been rejected. In addition to the value of the $150 certificates, I paid an extra $8.95 for expedited shipping for 2 day delivery. My account was charged on 12/20/13. I do not have any other contact information to be able to contact the company and would like to be reimbursed the $158.95 for the worthless certificates that I have purchased for my family members so that I may purchase replacement Christmas gifts for them. Had their website indicated that these certificates were not redeemable in the [redacted] Capital Region, I would not have purchased these certificates.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed the $158.95 that I paid for these items.

Review: The Simply Certificates Expired on November 1'st6 2013 I made several attempts to get in touch with this man about these certificates and he does not return calls. when I went to the mall after the lady at the info counter gave me his number and said they would be there in 2 weeks. I went there today and he was not helpful at all. Then called the police on me because he told the police that I was disrupting his business and he was concerned about him and his person working there and then the two of them lied to the police.**Desired Settlement: I have 6 certificates and I would like them replaced

Review: Simply Certificates sells dining and entertainment gift certificates that expire 11 months after purchase.

This is not disclosed at time of sale.

They will not replace an expired certificate.

Simply Certificate kiosks are set up all over the malls in Western New York, selling gift certificates that expire.

Their email address will not accept correspondance.

The owners name is "[redacted]", phone ###-###-#### according to sales person. He does not return calls. You get his voicemail when calling.

There are numerous complaints about this company, they have an "F" Revdex.com rating.Desired Settlement: I have (4) $25.00 certificates that were received December 2012.

The certificates expired 11/1/2013. This is not readily noticeable.

I request that the 4 expired certificates be replaced with 4 usable/valid certificates.

Dear [redacted] ,

We would like to reply to a recent complaint, ID [redacted], from a **. [redacted]. We're sorry to hear that he did not use the Simply Certficates, which he was given, last year, and for whatever reason did not see the expiration date, which is clearly noticeaie on the top or vertical sides of EACH one that is sold in all of the Malls. This is a busy time of the year for all of us at the Company, and apologize for the inability to return each person's call or e-mails. However, we do not re-issue expired certificates in any markets.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: The expiration date on the certificate is not clearly noticeable, as Simply Certificates unreasonably tries to justify, in the response letter. The design of the certificate is intended to make the expiration date unnoticeable. If the intent was to make the expiration noticeable, it would have been printed clearly in a horizontal mode near the words "dining and entertainment certificate". Instead, the design of the certificate is to print the expiration date vertically, and near the right edge of the certificate, in a smaller font.

Review: I purchased several gift certificates from Simply Certificates at the kiosk in the [redacted] mall in [redacted], Pa. They were purchased in the early summer 2013. I soon realized that the expiration date was only 5 months after I purchased the certificates, and local business I tried to redeem them at refused, because they were expired. Due to the short expiration date, I tried multiple times to email and call anyone I could find contact information for, to see if I could have new certificates issued. Voicemails and emails went unanswered, despite SEVERAL attempts. Online information listed Bob Lynn as the contact person for this area, and emails and voicemails were left for him repetitively . I have done this multiple times for the last YEAR and have yet to receive any correspondence. I also went to customer service at the [redacted] mall, where I purchased the certificates. I told the nice lady my concerns and inability to get through to anyone at this company. She laughed at my concern and said "good luck with that, your not the first person to have complaints".Desired Settlement: I would like the company to either refund my $50.00 or replace $50 worth of gift certificates.

Review: received as a gift 4 $10.00 certificates total $40.00 and have not used them, now I see an expiration date of 11-1-13

and would like the expiration date extended. I was told that the company no longer extends the expiration date. 'These certificates were paid for with

cash, I think its unfair that they were paid for these worthless pieces of paper, keep the money and we just lose >

I am only asking for an extension to use these certificates.

when I called them several days in a row they would not return my phone calls .Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the '$40.00 or an extention for a later date so we could use these certificates.

Review: I was given $200 in Simply Certificates as a wedding gift from the girls in my office. My husband and I used $50 for a dinner and have the remainder left to use. Before I knew it these certificates were out of date and unusable. I have been trying to contact the company to try and remedy this situation for over 9 months with no reply, verbal or written. I have tried email to the one contact on the web site. otherwise there is very little information given to contact anyone. They sell the certificates at the local malls during the holiday season and that will probably be my next step but by then they will be over a year out of date. The girls in my office paid cash, they are used as cash, how can an expiration of less than 8 months be given.Desired Settlement: I would like a full reimbursement of my unused certificates that were given to me as a gift. They were able to use the full amount of the $200 that was given to them without reservation. I would be happy to return the ones I have for replacement of updated ones.

Dear [redacted],

The following serves as our reply to the recent consumer complaint, no. ID [redacted], with attached copy of their letter. As always we are very upset when we hear that any of the gift certificate recipients of our Product do not, or somehow choose not to use them before the clearly marked expiration date, that's printed on the upper corner of each one.

In this case the recipient did choose to use $50 of the original amount, $200, given to them. However, they should have seen the expiration dates clearly marked on each one, since they did clearly use two of them, and have been aware of these dates. Unfortunately, we do not re-issue gift certificates in this market to recipients who cannot follow the rules of the Program.

Sincerely yours ,

Director - Marketing

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

First of all, I was not aware of the date until it was pointed out to me when we were going to use the certificates for dinner, I didn't think that gift certificates that were paid for with cash would have limitations/expirations on them, as the cash used to pay for them does not. Especially apparently a 9-month time frame that was offered as the expiration date from the date of purchase.. Again, it is a loss of $150 for me and my husband and our gracious co-workers and a gain for Simply Certificates.

Secondly, I tried several, at least four, times to contact the company via the email address, and via corporate addresses and received no response to my concerns. No one could even acknoweledge that they received my concerns and send me back an email to say we are sorry but our company policy is _________. So my only other action was to report this event to the Revdex.com to see if they would then recognize that there is a definite problem with the certificates that they issue and the customer service that they offer. I have purchased this product in the past and have never looked for or was concerned with a limitation date because of the fact that they are essentially used as cash and bought with cash and face value is face value.

In closing, I am very disappointed with the fact that I lost out on putting $150 back in to my local economy and instead I put it in the hands of a company that really doesn't seem to care about what happens to their customers once they get payment for the piece of paper they sell as a gift certificate.
