Excellent Service
On Monday evening March 7th, two of your "outstanding employees" Fawad and Gunjaeet repaired my hot water heater. Despite this being hour twelve or so of their work day they did a thorough and professional job and did not rush their work. They were knowledgeable, polite, and answered any questions that I had. If all your staff are like these two gentlemen then your customers are in "good hands".

The consumer called in and stated the issue is resolved

Review: Opened new contract with Simply Green in January 2015. Paid full amount up front for 6-8 applications for the year. June of 2015 my family relocated so I cancelled service with Simply Green and requested refund. I was told it would be applied back to the account I used to pay. I called and spoke with an employee [redacted] on 8/19 and again on 8/28 asking why I had not received my refund. I was assured it would be applied. Again on 9/21 I called and spoke to Mr. [redacted] who said I needed to speak with Ms [redacted] who I could never reach or who never called me to resolve the issue. On a secondary call I was told the owner would handle repayments but nothing has happened since. I was called by simply green as they were somehow soliciting business and did not realize I was on the complaint list but again no new information was provided which suggests nothing is being done to refund any monies owed for services not provided.Desired Settlement: I am only seeking refund based on the number of applications applied. $171.72

Review: I used Simply Green for the 2013 season and service was good for two treatments. I was given another service date but it was a no show and since it was late in the season there wasn't a reschedule of service made. For the 2014 season I prepay for services, four services were rendered and I didn't see improvement with my lawn so I canceled. After a month went by I did not receive a call or refund for services not rendered, I called again. Services were canceled in August, now were in September. I spoke to Kathy and she said she would give it to Randy because he took care of the refunds. Another month went by and still no response. For the next three months I have made calls regarding my refund and I get the same story each time. On the last call I told them that I was tired calling and the next time they would hear from me would be through small claims and the amount would include court fees and a day of lost pay to appear in court. Another month has passed and they sent me notice to prepay for another year. I called again not happy to receive this notice and still no refund. I was told that someone will get back to me later today. This company should not be reccomended for any services.Desired Settlement: My refund

Review: When signing up for the lawn services provided by Simply Green it was specifically stated that there where a set number of treatments throughout the year that would be applied to my lawn and that if in between treatments there was issues noted Simply Green would at no cost return and address the issue. During the summer months (after a weed preventive application was applied) I noticed excessive amounts of weeds including crab grass continuing to grow within my lawn and contacted Simply Green to return and address them. Simply Green return as requested and applied a second application which was still found not to be effective. A second call was placed to Simply Green and they returned a third time. All three applications were not effective as weeds continue to grow within my lawn and upon contacting them a fourth time I was told that they would not apply any further applications as it was not cost effective for them to do. I spoke with their office manager and stated that their advertising did not state and limit on addressing issues between applications and requested a refund as their program was ineffective in doing what it was stated to do. At that point they hung up the phone on my. Certainly not good business ethics and not a company I would recommend to anyone in the future.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the remaining applications still to be applied this year.

Review: I asked lawn care service for 2013 season. I called and paid by credit card on November 25, 2012 because they gave me 10 % discount for early contract and payment.

This started on April 16, 20013. They left invoice and flag, so I knew they came. and I called to make sure that I paid in full this season. They answered you was fine. Next month they came on May 24, 20013. Again, they left invoice and flag. I called again to make sure I paid. They said I was fine. After about month and half I stared to worry about they they were not coming. So I called every week. The answer was always the schedule to come my house is soon. So, I waited. But they never came. Every Monday or Tuesday in July to August I called them and got same answer. Finally I realized that they were not coming. I called them to cancel the contract and asked money back.

I paid $ 367.29 for lawn care of 20013. They came April 16 and May 24. Each time invoice showed the charge of $ 55, the total of $ 110 for twice. So, 367.29-110=257.29, I would like to receive $ 257.29 from them.

However, no matter how many times I called, the owner never call me back and never return the money.Desired Settlement: Return me $ 257.29.

Review: 4/2/14 - I signed up for Simply Green with Josh (never received a service agreement). I was to receive 6 treatments of fertilizer and weed control and in addition to this I was to receive one treatment of lime in the middle of summer and one treatment of gypsum at the end of the season. I live on private property so I had requested 2 things when signing up; a 24-48hr. prior advance phone notice when coming out to spray and a dedicated person (1 or 2) each time who would come out. Josh assured me that this was not a problem. They didn’t keep to anything they agreed upon!

4/8/14 - Treatment 1– [redacted] (called Sunday night, was suppose to come out Monday but saughter was sick so he came out Tuesday)

5/7/14 - Treatment 2 - Brandon (NO 24-48hr. call ahead, we had just planted grass seed and the treatment was applied which burned out all the grass seed that was planted)

6/20/14 – Treatment 3 – Brandon (NO 24-48hr. call ahead; called the morning of and treated the lawn that afternoon)

8/7/14 – Treatment 4 – Joe (NO 24-48hr. call ahead; called the morning of and treated the lawn that very morning; stepped on and crushed our downspout)

9/3/14 - Service Call – Joe (NO 24-48hr. called the morning of and treated the lawn that very morning)

When Brandon burned the grass seed on 5/7/14 we had spoken to Patti who then told us we would have to speak to Ryan, Brandon's manager. Ryan stated he would come out and take a look at the property however, he wanted to wait 2 weeks before coming out. Two weeks went by and we didn’t hear from Ryan, so I called and spoke to [redacted], the office manager. on 5/28/14 She stated Ryan was busy however she would send him out and that she would also put us in the books for a free fall seeding as a result of what happened. Ryan came out (5/28/14) and took a look at the areas and stated that they will take care of it in the fall.

On 8/7/14 I contacted the the office manager, [redacted] regarding the ineffectiveness of Treatment 2 through 4 and also the fact that we didn’t receive the lime treatment that was supposed to have happened in the middle of summer. I told her that there was a noticeably difference when the 1st treatment was applied however, since then we hadn’t really seen a difference and the weeds were growing out of control and that I was concerned and felt that we were wasting our money. She requested that we allow them one more shot to put in a Service call in which they would strengthen the formula just for our lawn and they would also lime. I had to call the office on 8/25, 8/26 and again on 8/29/14 prior to them coming out for the service call on 9/3/14. The Service call occurred and it was an absolutely ineffective in controlling the weeds.

I called as well as emailed the office manager, [redacted] a cancellation request and an outline of our expectation regarding receipts/refund/seeds on 9/15/14. She indicated that she would speak to the owner [redacted] and get back to me on 9/16/14. I never heard from her so I called on 9/16/14 and she told me that [redacted] knew about my cancellation and when he came back to the office from Chester that day they were suppose to discuss it and that she would call me tomorrow. I called her on 9/19/14 and spoke to [redacted] who informed me that [redacted] was out and that the owner was too busy to take customer calls.

I believing in supporting local businesses but I also expect to receive the service that I paid for without incurring headaches and additional damages to my property . I most definitely would not recommend this service to anyone, as there treatments are ineffective and trying to work with them is more of a headache then its worth.Desired Settlement: 1.) Descriptive receipt for the 9/3/14 Service call – outlining what they treated our lawn with

2.) Refund Treatment 4 -- $76.50

Last 2 treatments ( Treatments 5 & 6 which we did not receive) -- $153.00

3.) Grass Seed

Scotts Sun and Shade Grass Seed Mixture (Blue Grass/Fescue/Rye)

4 - 20lb bags -- or

2 - 40lb bags

Review: We had multiple free consultations from different lawn care companies. One of which was Simply Green. They came out, my fiancé met with the guy outside, I was inside due to not feeling well. He came back before [redacted] left to fill me in on what was spoken. [redacted] talked quotes and treatments. My fiancé told him we would be awaiting for a quote from them and make our decision from there. My fiancé and I agreed that we would let him know if we decided to move forward.

We awaited an email from them and nothing.

We called a week later to speak to [redacted]. She let us know that she did send it, but we never received it. She forwarded the email once more. We finally got it. During that phone call, I also let her know that if we decided to move forward, would they be open to calling us ahead of time to let us know when they would come out so that we could be home. She said that is no problem.

After comparing quotes, we decided it was best not to move on with Simply Green. We never called them back, we never scheduled anything. Instead we signed paperwork with another landscaping company over two weeks ago stating that we were not using any other lawn care company.

We come home today and we had a red bull on our lawn, along with a invoice at our door for almost 300 dollars. We called them, a man named [redacted] answered the phone. I asked to speak with a manager and he said he was the manager. I informed him that we never signed up for any lawn service, and furthermore, we were never even alerted about anyone from Simply Green coming on our property. He said "okay. Give me one second". I also told him someone left a red bull on our lawn. His response was "oh..that's not good." He then proceed to tell me would transfer me to [redacted] who scheduled me out. (I found this strange seeing that [redacted] was the manager transfering me to a receptionist/scheduler for the problem.) I informed her what happened. She then cut me off and began telling me that my fiancé told [redacted] that we would have the lawn care done with them the day he came out. She began yelling at me and wouldn't let me talk. I asked her to let me finish talking and hear me out. I tried to tell her that it was not true. I was standing by the front door inside when my fiancé spoke to [redacted] outside. I heard the conversations. I also heard him tell him we would await for the quote and we would let him know where we stand.

She kept cutting me off half way through my sentences saying that I have to pay it. She then passed me over to [redacted] and he proceeded to tell me the same thing. I tried to tell him that we never got a call or anything from them. I told him we didn't do it and if it means us having to take this to court or further action, we will. He kept yelling on the phone cutting me off and I handed the phone to my fiancé. My fiance told him that we didn't sign up for anything nor moved forward with anything. [redacted] then threatened us that he would send it over to collections and hung the phone up on us.

I called back to try and calmly talk things out and [redacted] answered the phone. I told her we didn't sign up for anything, she informed me "there is nothing that needs to be signed." I told her, then how do you have proof that we indeed told you to come out? She said my "manager said you told him too." I said no, we didn't. She then started yelling at me, cutting off my sentences and saying that I was calling her manager a liar. I told her, "no. I'm not saying that, maybe there was some miscommunication, but we didn't sign-." And she cuts me off again stating that my fiancé was the one who was wrong. She told me to take it up with the better business bearue and that they will keep billing me. She hung up on me again with threatening me with the collections agency. I called back and left a voicemail stating that for the record if anyone from Simply Green steps foot on my property again, I will call the cops and file a restraining order against them.

We already signed paperwork with another lawn care company, we even have a sign on our lawn showing the other lawn care company's name for the weed control they put down. We chose another company a few days after comparing quotes and work with Simply Green. The company we did decide to go through, informed us that Simply Green has done this to so many cus[redacted]ers that they know of. This is terrible.

We never signed, nor called or scheduled anything with Simply Green and they came out on my property after informing them that I would want to be home IF we went through with them.

On top of that, the work they did, was not the proper way of doing "core aeration" we have photographs of the "work" they did.

We should not be getting charged by this company. We never informed them that we would hire them for our lawn.

We sent an email, just now, stating that we did not ask for lawn care from them and that we will not be accepting any other work from them on our lawn. They are to not step foot on our property or we will call the police.

Seeing that they need a clear statement of us not hiring them, I need to send that over Incase they came out for anything else.

Please help me. Filing a complaint here, I notice that there a lot of people that are unhappy with them. I wish I had done my research before even calling them for their free consultation.Desired Settlement: Our desired outcome is to have Simply Green NOT send any charges to collections and to NOT charge us with any work that we did not request. We want NO communication from them and we Do NOT want their Company to do any work on our property.

Review: A representative from simply green was spreading pelets on neighbor's lawn and he also covered my driveway and failed to use a blower to remove the product. I called and spoke to [redacted], the office manager, at 3:55pm on 10/28/2014 and she stated that she would have the service tech come back to clean the driveway. I waited until 5:30pm and my wife and I cleaned the driveway off since we were having our grand kids and their new puppy coming over the next day. We did this to prevent them and the puppy from accidently eating the pellets, especially the puppy. I called that Monday and was told that [redacted] left early and askedmto have [redacted] call me the next day. I waited until 3:58pm and called [redacted] who stated she never got the message and explained that the tech never came as promised and she could not answer as to why he was a NO SHOW. I told her that we should be paid $50.00 for clening up the mess that was caused by thier worker, who never came to resolve the matter. She said that she would have to talk to the owner and get back. I called the next day and 4:05pm and [redacted] stated had to run an errand aand would be back in 10 minutes and would call me. He never called and I waited till 4:30pm the following day and made a call and finally got Tom- operation's manager who stated he would not pay for the clean up and seemed not to care that his worker made and left a mess. Since no one from simply green came out, I feel that we should be compensated and that in the future thier workers clean up after themselves. This is not a way to do business and if this happened to them they would feel the same way.
