accepted a large job and wasn't able to complete it in a timely or satisfactory manner.
Overpriced and under value work done.
*** came to my home on a Wednesday April 4 night after I got off work. my husband and I walked through each room with him and a guy we never saw again. we just bought this home and it needed a ton of work done and a lot of cleaning. I told him what all I needed and the different service people I was needing to call to complete this project. He stated that he could DO IT ALL. He assured us a each complaint that he could handle it. we needed every room painted, some light fixtures repaired, bath vents repaired, water drips stopped. and Cleaning services. He stated they would start the work on that Thursday april 5, morning and have 3 specified by us rooms done by Sunday april 8, our move in date. we agreed to allow him to work around us living there and to have the job complete in 2 weeks. we paid him $4000cashiers chedk down on thursday april 5 on a initial $9000 contract. Thursday I went to my home 4 times and *** wasn't there nor was any work being done. He did show up Friday evening with one guy. after previously stating that Thursday would be plaster day with 2 men and Friday he would have 5 men working around the clock. None of this was true. we hired 5 men to help us move into our home on sunday and *** wasn't anywhere near prepared for us to move anything into our home, so we had to leave everything in the garage, this isn't what I paid the movers to do, now we have to move everything into the home ourselves. We spent sunday though Thursday sleeping on the floor of our old home, that we had moved out of and eating out(which I normally don't do) we were in a sense homeless, checking on the progress daily, it was moving very slow. We practically begged *** to at least finish our bedroom so we could have some where to sleep, my husband is 66 years old and we had to sleep on the floor for four days cause we didnt have hotel money and his balance both. When I went to see his work it was awful!!!. he didn't cover my things that I did have in the house leaving dust and debree on my Tv and stand. he splattered paint on items that didn't need painting. he painted the white with a base paint. the old colors of my home are bleeding though the new paint. he didn't use tape so there isn't a straight line in the entire home. He also has paint drippings all over the place. He painted over dirty walls after assuring me he would clean first. I spoke with seth about this and he says "I've over charged you, I've spoken with my people and this is a $4000 job so just give me $7000", I agreed to this because I knew I was being overcharged when I started seeing his work, still feeling like $7000 was overcharged, we allowed him to try to finish what he started, we comtemplated firing him and just starting over but we cant afford that. We had to point out every detail one by one by one by one and I work too much for this. this is why we hired him. he also hired a cleaning service that showed up with no supplies. and half cleaned my home with one bottle of 20oz cleaner. I had to hire a cleaning service in order for me to be able to move into the home at all. *** destroyed my home buying experience. and my home looks terrible I can not even have company until I can afford to have my home done properly. When *** came to receive his balance of $3000 I gave him $2700cash minus the $300 for the cleaning service. and he didn't like that at all. he sold us a dream and it became a nightmare. He left my home threatning to sue me for the 2000 he admitted to overcharging me and the 300 for the cleaning service on april 16.
He did paint the house even tho unsatisfactory I would like to be refunded at least $2000 to hire someone to fix whats not right.
simplyseth Home Improvement was contracted by Mrs. on 04/05/2018. She states we didn't start until the 7th of April. This is true, but only because Mrs. didn't have her colors. Long story short, Mrs *** approached me with a proposal that read as following $9000 to repair,paint, and clean her home for move in ready. The payment crafted by Mrs. was $4000 at the beginning of work. $3000 at the completion and $2000 over the span of 90 days. The payment plan she crafted and I agreed. I stated, I needed 14 days to complete the work. We were finish in 5 days. Mrs. was very hands on. pointing out every single detail during the process. I encourage her to write sticky notes or write down any concerns and I will address them. after addressing all concerns, we did a final walk through on Friday the 13th of April. She stated she didn't have the $3000. I was a little angry, but calmly ask when can I expect payment? Monday the 16th was agreed upon. I didn't receive a complaint over the weekend about bleed through or anything else. Remind you I had until the 19th to complete the work. Monday arrive and instead of receiving $3000 as agreed, she handed me $2700. When asked about the $300 she said she withheld it because she hired a maid service. The maid service told her in my presence they are not suppose to clean while work such as painting is in process. Clearly Mrs. was within her right to do anything she chose to do, but penalizing me because of her impulsiveness isn't rational. Bottom line, I was angry at the disrespect and now puzzled at these complaints. She owe me money and these trump up allegations are clearly her way of justifying the non-payment.
