A&M Construction & Roofing completed the roof installation for Mrs*** *** on October 20, After the installation Mrs*** reported a leak that had fallen on her couch in the front roomAfter we inspected the room very thoroughly we saw no evidence of any water penetration however she insisted there was water that had pooled on her couch. The Homeowner was informed that we would be glad to come out and inspect why the roof which she claims is leaking on the inside is leakingWe want to be clear that when we first inspected the inside after she claimed it was leaking after the installation of the roof, there was no evidence of water anywhereUsually water leaves water marksSo we told Ms*** ***, if she did have problems later to call us and we’ll, inspect the roof once again. When Ms*** called us out of the blue on January 17, for the first time regarding this particular issue after a year and a half of time passing, she did not identify herself clearly and as a result we had no idea who it wasWe don’t keep a running list of our clients on our phone recognition system, we have to look it up in our files first. We are sorry that Ms*** was so offended by that, & many other incidents we had no control overMs*** tone was very negative, & argumentative at that point on. Ms*** rejected our offer to come out and inspect the roof when we told her there could be a cost associated with any removal of shingles or if we have to take off the shingles to find were that leak is coming from. There’s always a chance of concealed damage such as termites or other pests or critters that could be eating into the structure of her houseSquirrels (for example) can and do tend to eat on the roof as well as on pipe bootsThe house shifting can also cause leaks. Since the roof has not been leaking for over year and a half after installation, and out of the blue it starts to leak again there could be a cost because that is not clear evidence that the leak was or is caused by a roof installationShe (Mrs*** *** rejected this) Once again I’m going to submit an offer to help her with her problem to seal any openings we see on the shingles surfacesAfter a thorough inspection at no charge regardless of her not following proper procedure reporting any damage in writing within a given amount of time after the installation that is stated on our warrantee she document that was left to herIf it continues to leak and we determine that the shingles will have to be removed and indeed there will be a cost connected to that work that would need to be done.Sincerely, *** ***

He continues to say"we" as this is a major corporation.Why did he not examine the roof when I first reported it? I reported the leak, the loose shingles. You came over, did you repair, did you complete the investigation, did the roofers come and hammer the nails, affix the shingle, What did you do? Nothing, but talk and manipulate from completingHe did not have time and wanted to see if it would happen again It is very awkward that he leak occurred later, but I cannot explain since it was not investigated by him or one of his roofers I disagree with a "charge" because he did not investigate and was not persistent in checking as he was to get my funds, manipulate, exaggerate, overly pushing his opinions. After all of this back and forth, NO! He is NOT welcome on my property!

I am rejecting this response because:The owner, ***, never accepts or handles the issue as I have explained Very argumentive and never accepting wrong The issue about the patio that he has mentioned is not the complaint and that was resolved The same day, I informed him of the leak from the beamHe was puzzled of why this leak occurred Did not mention anything about possible structure of the homeThis is exactly what he does, tries to divert from what is being explained and does not listen entirely I reported the leak to the owner, I reported the shingles to the owner It has not been resolved Reported in November 2015, yes When the owner came to the home about the shingles, he did not fix itNo he did not see the leak, but he was aware of the leak Even asked me to let him know when it happens again He even asked me for supplies to fix the shingles to put adhesive on the shingles Also, indicated that if he had a roofer to come out they will expect payment Why, if the work was not performed to satisfactory I am not a roofer and would not have the supplies Even when I called the owner this week, he was treating me as if he did not know or remember me He has been to my home, in my home many times, sat, chatted, ate, etc Yes, I did state " I thought you would say that" That statement was made because of the past dealings and communications that are never clear my *** He comles across as understanding and will back up his products and services, but he will try to turn the wording of what you ask or say as though you never said it He has a good approach to get your business and show concern Once, he is paid, his responses change to what he presents to get the service I really expected him to be a business man with the plan to make sure his customers are satisfy Now, he wants to blame the leak on the structure of the home, when the leak did not occur until after the roof was replacedI believe that if there was an issue, the roofers should have reported to *** Were the roofers attentive to looking for any structure issues on the roof? So, what is the cause for the shingles not being fixed, structure also? His focus is not on the complaint If he is not willing to repair, that is unacceptableHowever, if he did come and fixed everything, will there be any harmade to my home in retaliation?

Response. I am not sure why home owner has this complaint. We have gone back numerous times to insure her concerns we’re met. Ms. [redacted] asked us to come back for a leak on the patio due flashing issues. We came back and fixed problem. She had a leak somewhere near a beam in the house over a...

year ago after we installed the roof only once time, it never accrued again so she dismissed this with us and we agreed she could call us back if it gives a problem. She was good with this settlement. Now over a year and half latter she has a leak again, and called me on 1-16-17. I was willing to come and inspect the house for Ms. [redacted] informing her there may be a cost to fix the problem since we think the leak is not due to the roof, but due to the structure of the house. She immediately said to us; “I thought you would say that.” It seems to me Ms. [redacted] doesn’t appreciate our efforts in the past, nor presently to address any issues with her. Now she is complaining to the Revdex.com for an unwarranted reason. Like many people, Ms. [redacted] doesn’t want to acknowledge every leak on her house is not necessarily due to the replacement of the roof, but the condition of the structure of the house. Tell us why here...
