Simpson Chevrolet Reviews (4)

Review: We bought our used 2013 Dodge Grand Carovan from Simpson Chevrolet in Januaryof 2015. From the very begining things were difficult. Here we are about 4 and half months in and now I am being told that becauseI "drive " to hard I need not only breaks but rotors. This is ridiculous. Ibuy a car with warrenty and breaks are not covered I get it. but why am Ihaving to put new breaks and rotors on a car that I got 4 months ago? Thismakes no sense. I have reports from our last vehical that in the 4 years ofhaving I changed the breaks 1 time and NEVER the rotors. Simpson Chevrolet shows no concern. They say it is all me and that I need topay the $450. Normally I would be fine with that. However if the breaks werenew when the car was sold to me or even at 90% there is NO WAY again that Iwould need breaks and rotors. There is also NO way that in 4 and half monthsI 'drove " that hard on my breaks. I feel Simpsons has done nothing but treat us as customers with completedisrespect. It has been this way since day one. Infact the day we bought the car I rode to the gas station with the salesguy Brandon. he witnessed the seat belt on the driver passenger side wouldNOT conect. Once it finally did click while driving back to the dealershipmy seat belt just un buckeled. They had no reason for it and never didanything about it. It happened again I took the car back they checked it andsaid it was fine. There was and still is a whistleing noise when you drive. They claimed it to be the tires. It wasn't, the noise is still there. I understand this my seem like a rant, and maybe that's exactly what it is.I just feel we are being treated poorly and being taken advatage of. I feelthey should be responsiable for the breaks. I would be more than happy oncethey are replaced along with the rotors to sign something stating thatanything from here on out we will take up through warrenty if it is covered.Desired Settlement: I feel Simpson Chevrolet should replace the breaks and rotors as well. (4450 that I was quoted) I would be more than happy oncethey are replaced along with the rotors to sign something stating thatanything from here on out we will take up through warrenty if it is covered.

Response:

We have attempted to contact this customer on 4 occasions. We are willing to repair the brakes as requested provided the customer removes the negative review that she posted.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I am rejecting this offer because they claim they have tried to get ahold of me 4 times. Yet I have NO emails, NO missed calls, and NO voicemails. I had to pay to rent a car $67 for 3 days and paid $150 to buy breaks and have them done. The breaks were so bad it was unsafe for my children to be in the car. The lied to me about needing new rotors. I took them to the auto shop and they sanded them down and now they are fine. If they want to reimburse me the money I had to spend fine. Other wise my posts stay up and I will move forward with all the other issues we have had with the car through the courts under the Lemon Laws. They can email or call me directly. Review: I brought my vehicle in (2005 Chevy Cobalt) to receive a diagnostic and estimate. Not only did they charge me nearly $200 to just give me a engine code read-out, which proved useless since there were several check engine codes being caused by the issue at hand (failing catalytic converter), they quoted me $1200! and up to replace it, which is worth more than the value of the car. I reluctantly was forced to pay to get my car away from these crooks.Desired Settlement: I would like $100 removed from the original amount, putting cost of a diagnostic just under $100, a fair and reasonable price for doing basically nothing.

Response:

The customer was charged appropriately for the inspection of the brakes and the diagnosis of the check engine light with 3 failure codes. In lieu of customer goodwill, we will offer a $50 refund.

On Feb. 6 I took my car in for an oil change and tire inspection and tire rotation, a few days later my tire alert went on stating the tire pressure was low. I took the car to Simpson Garden Grove dealer on 02/12 at 7:00 am and was advised they do not do any tire replacements if I needed a new tire, but it was probably the tire pressure that needed to be reset. I didn't have to check in my car, no papers were signed. I had my car back within 10 minutes and the tire pressure alert was no longer on. On 02/17 the alert came on again and decided to take the car to a different Chevy dealer who advised the tire had a puncture and they would not be able to let me leave with out replacing the tire. Unfortunately the make and model does not come with a spare and they had to order the tire so I had to rent a car from the dealer and paid 86.00, in addition to this I also lost 6 hours of pay from work to be able to take care of this. Something that could have been taken care of originally when I had took it to get serviced. The money is not an issue but my life was at risk. Per the service department who fixed my car advised I could have had a blowout. I definitely will not be going back to Simpson Chevrolet!

They use my name and information with another individual with the same last name and they made a mistake confusing me with the other individual. Using my phone number to calling me. Hoping they didn't confuse my personal social security number with this individual
