Simpson Lawn Maintenance

Review: I advised Mr. Simpson that I wanted a certain are in my yard mulched. I wanted some type of barrier or a trench because when it rains the mulch runs into my grass. The barrier or trench is to keep the mulch from going into the grassy area. I also wanted the mulched area to be shortened so he advised that he would put top soil and seeds down once the area was shortened. The week of August 4, 2014 Mr. Simpson started and finished the work I requested. First concern is that there was no barrier placed or trench dug. It rained a couple of days later and mulch was in the grassy area. This is why I wanted the barrier or trench. When he removed the old mulch to put down the new mulch he had to removed the weed barrier fabric (keep the weeds from coming through the mulch). The second concern is that when he put the new mulch down he neglected to replace the landscaping weed fabric. He came over a few days after it rained because I advised him that the rained washed away the top soil, seeds, and mulch was in the grassy area of my yard. I wasn't really concerned about the top soil and seeded area but that the mulch went into the grassy area because a barrier was not place nor was there a trench for the mulch to fall into. Once I advised him that I wanted the landscaping weed fabric placed down and a trench he told me that it would involve much more money. The fabric is very inexpensive and I initially asked him to dig a trench or barrier. He had a very bad attitude and a smart mouth and I found that to be very unprofessional and unnecessary. He asked me if I wanted my money back I advised him that I wanted the job done how I requested or a portion of my money back.Desired Settlement: I want the job done correctly or a partial refund.
