Review: This office is an [redacted] participant, because we initially got their information off the Aenta website. My husband visited this office on March **, 2013 for a consultation, which was required before getting a biopsy of the inside of his cheek. We never went through with the biopsy. Our co-pay for a Specialist office visit, is $30. For whatever reason, the claim was denied and [redacted] Oral sent me a bill for the full price of $65. I contacted [redacted] and they confirmed that this needed to be re-submitted properly. I contacted [redacted] Oral and spoke to [redacted], who I believe is head of the billing department. She did not want to re-submit the claim, stating, "I don't think [redacted] is going to pay." I asked her to re-submit anyway, and she reluctantly said she would. In August 2013, I received the same $65 bill from [redacted] Oral. I called [redacted] on August [redacted], and spoke to [redacted]. She said that [redacted] Oral never re-submitted the claim. [redacted] called [redacted] from [redacted] Oral, while I waited on the other line. [redacted] told [redacted] that she did not re-submit, because she did not think [redacted] would pay. [redacted] told [redacted] to re-file anyway. Why would [redacted], in charge of billing, not re-submit the claim even after an [redacted] rep told her to do so? [redacted] is being unfair and lazy, at the patient's expense. If they will not re-submit, then I will gladly pay the full "[redacted] Member Rate," which is $32.49. Paper work for this is submitted here.Desired Settlement: I would like to pay the $30 co-pay, and not $65. If not, then according to [redacted], the "[redacted] Member Rate" for this service is $32.49 for this particular office visit. If easier, I would do the latter. Paper work is attached with this complaint.
