Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 22, 2016/01/15) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Ed has many of the facts wrongLet me elaborateI damaged the entire curb side of my RV on a 3/4' branch that rubbed on the side of it and put a scratch in the clear coatEd came out mid May and told me that he would charge $to remove the scratch and I would love it"Let me show you what I can do, trust me, I'll make it look brand newYou'll love it." He saidI had a trip planned, and it was supposed to rain and we would have to wait a month for him to come outWe agreed on a time, June 15, He came out and worked for almost eight hours, which included washing/waxing my boat, which I asked if he could throw that in for freeHe took it upon himself to power-wash the truckI also provided a ladder that was made into scaffolding to assist him in reaching up on the coach
I came out quite a few times to watch him and see what he was doing and the kind of progress he was makingHe initially told me it would only take a few hours and it was an easy jobHe was using a special rubbing compound and a buffing pad to remove the scratchAbout hrs into the job I pointed out that there were some micro scratches where he rubbed/buffed the main one outHe worked for another couple hours and when I came out the scratches appeared to be gone
When we returned from our 4th of July trip, I washed the coach and noticed that the main scratch was gone but, there were the many micro scratches from where he rubbedI called Ed and left him numerous messages beginning July He finally responded to an e-mail Aug saying that he would call me in two weeks when he got back from a trip out of stateI also included a picture of the coachThe next time I heard from Ed was Sept 18, telling me he would call on Monday SeptAfter a month of no call, no e-mail I sent him another e-mail asking him to either fix it or I would have *** RV do the repair at a cost of $On Oct 10, he replied via e-mail stating that he would not honor his workmanship and didn't need the stress
I did not sign his receipt #for $400, he did however
I asked a professional at *** RV about the scratch and how it could "come back", and he told me that there are waxes that fill in those micro scratches, but the wax does not remove themThese type of scratches need to be buffed out completely by feathering them
I would like Ed to honor his commitment to his workmanship and either do the job correctly or reimburse me $to have it done correctly
Final Business Response /* (4000, 31, 2016/02/02) */
See this is what I'm saying if he wants me to come out and fix it if I said no because he wants me to pay for something that he messed up and gas to go there that's what type of person we have here why extra fees and suchRead what he has said about all the extra stuff he wants out the deal he never paid me grand and he wants me to pay grand? That's my point he all along wanted to point the finger at someone because he is not happyI did a good job he called me back a month or two later saying this and thatI just don't want to fool with his RV because of that right thereI get this all the time where I do a good job and week later it's dirty and hey come do it again for freeI will go out of work because of this kind of claims to get free service and I'm not saying him but can you understand so with that he got a good deal and good work doneI have pictures and he called back late to make his claim

I only wanted the job done properly, which it was notSure, I scratched my coach and that's where Ed, at Sincere Detailing Pros came inHe said he could buff out the scratches and I would love his workI thought he would buff them ALL out not create moreEd filled the micro scratches in with wax, it was clean and shiny and looked goodI didn't need to wash it until we got back from our tripThat is when the wax washed out of the scratches and was very noticeableThe professional body repairman at *** said that wax does not stay "filled in" and the scratches need to be buffed out by someone who knows what they are doingWhat I don't understand is why it took Ed so long to respond to my phone calls and e-mailsThe $is for *** RV to repair the damage he did to my motorhomeThis is the last time I will respond to this complaint if there is no resolve, I will have to escalate it to the conciliation court and he will have to either pay me out of his pocket or file a claim with his insurance company for his damage to my motorhomeIf that is the case I will also add a court filing fee of $and cost of fuel which at my best guess would be close to $If Ed would prefer we could go through a mediator, which is binding and a little cheaper for himPlease let me know how I should proceed
