Singh Contracting Reviews (2)

I filed a complaint last week against Singh contractingThey have since resolved the complaintI would like to request that you remove the complaint entirelyThank you Revdex.com, I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted]

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received, your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Revdex.com, I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaintFor your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Singh Contrating ignores several of the biggest issues, and flat denies a course of conduct that I have documents to proveSingh admits in the very first sentence or two of their response that it is their policy to supply the insurance company with a quote, have it approved (i.ethe homeowner would receive the insurance payment for the work to be done), and then conduct the workThis responseIgnores the fact that our insurance did not approve ANY of their work until October I have the written document to prove thatI did not receive that document until after October So they commenced work without insurance approval, and we had NOT been paid the insurance supplement needed to cover their bill until in the past two weeksIf they had followed their own policy then it would work fine for them to receive payments for sections of the work as completed because the insurance proceeds would have been receivedThey proceeded to do work prior to having any approval from insurance and then demanded full payment from us before we had the insurance proceeds to cover the demandI have the dates of all of the checks and approval documents, as well as Singh's demands that we pay in full that came prior to may insurance company approving their work.Ignores the fact that they started two months late.Fails to address anything about the fraudulent statements they made to our insurer in apparent attempt to get a higher payout for work they didn't actually doThey claimed that the insurance company had approved their work and had issued payment before we tried to settleI have the insurance companies approval that didn't issue until October Purports to know how we paid other contractorsThis may be paranoia that we were paying others with the hail damage claimThis speculation by Singh isn't accurate.Ignores the fact that they initially promised to do all the work covered in the insurance claim, but then came back and told us they would only do some of the items on the listOf course this meant we needed to hold back some of the insurance proceeds to cover the items Singh declined to doSingh, however thought that they were entitled to the entire first check, though their work was not yet approved by insurance, they were under investigation for fraud by my insurance company, and they had stopped midway leaving my home exposed to rain damage and facia damage (unpainted boards)It would be folly for us to turn over insurance proceeds for work unapproved by insurance, and proceeds earmarked for work this contractor now refused to doMost importantly, this contractor admits in his response that his procedure is to get insurance approval prior to commencing workThey admit they did not follow that processThey ignore their other wrongs primarily the long delay before starting, and the fraudulent padding of their quote to our insuranceWe hired them to handle all the work needed for our insurance claimThey stopped part way with unpainted facia showing and gutters torn offWe ended up having to lower the price on our home and have been exposed to damage by their stopping workIf they had followed their own policy that they admit in their response, most of this would have been avoided(Their refusal to do part of the work, and their delay would still have caused us hardships, but there would not have been any payment delays for the work actually done. The amount they agreed to take in settlement was an additional $4,At the time we had still not received the October clearance from insurance or the supplemental checkSingh says we had already received thisI have the document to show otherwise.Since my initial complaint I requested that they reduce the lien to reflect the $5,payment we made in an effort to ease their paranoiaThey have declined to do so, so we are attempting to sell the home with a lien showing, though this contractor has received $5,and refuses to reduce the lien to reflect the changeWe have been damaged, quantifiably and substantially by this contractors unexplained delays, refusals to finish work, forcing us to market an incomplete home, and forcing us to take substantial time off work to address the issues caused.I have spoken to several others that faced similar breaches of promises from Singh and then threatening behaviorI think it is critical that it be reported Regards, [redacted]
