Review: My wife and I ate three times at the summer only [redacted] Salsa Shack restaurant located at [redacted]. Each time we paid for our dinner using an the same American Express Card and each time the restaurant/waiter added additional monies to the tip which were not shown on the receipt I signed. After confronting the [redacted] ###-###-####) he said he was sorry for our problem and that he fired [redacted] of the summer only restaurant. [redacted]'s also has a year round restaurant in [redacted]. The ** never refunded my funds which he admitted were overcharges placed on my AMEX receipt. I would ask that the Revdex.com look into this firm's very illegal practices. I am confident that many people do not match back their receipts to their statement and would never realize the overcharges this restaurant is processing.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Desired Settlement: Refund my $20 total overpayment from the 3 visits.

Response:

Our company received your letter dated November [redacted], 2013 for the complaint referenced above. [redacted] indeed called to complain about his credit card issue with our [redacted] in mid October 2013. When [redacted] called he explained that he was overcharged on his credit card from visits made to Seafood Shack- [redacted] apologized and right away made the respective arrangements to issue a refund to the customer’s credit card for a total of $15.00 (that’s the amount he claimed over the phone- see attached copy or refund receipt made to [redacted]’s Amex on 10/**/13).

In addition, due to the severity of this matter, [redacted] initiated an investigation in regards to this matter to find out why this issue took place. It could have been an entry error in the hands of the young waiter (many of our employees are college students hired for the summer time only) and the tips are manually entered at the end of the shift; in this case we found the settlements were processed by the same person at the Net-POS terminal. However, this is not an excuse on our part either because our [redacted] are supposed to check that all settlements match. For this we apologize deeply because we did have several issues with [redacted] hired at that location for the summer and that person no longer works for our company (this was also explained by [redacted] to [redacted] over the phone).

Singh Hospitality Group strives to offer to all guests an excellent experience when they visit any of our facilities- quality food and outstanding customer service. We have been in business for over 20 years and we have and will always do right by our customers. Since [redacted] claims that the total of charges amount to $20.00 we would like to refund the additional $5.00 to make sure this issue is completely corrected.
