Stay far, far away from Sinister Diesel!!! I have had nothing but problems with their parts

Poor business practices, lack of customer service, poorly designed original parts, falsified reviews on Google, terrible all around company

The reality is that Sinister sells cheap Chinese garbage at an insane markup
Stat away from this junk

Had to email twice and call after no reply to even get a tracking number sent to me they sent a linked tracking number which was not visible to me on their site, had to call the manufacturer from where the part is actually coming from to get the tracking number today When I ordered this part last Wednesday the sales person told me that if I ordered it on this day that it should be here to me at my house by the latest on Tuesday of this week in which I still have not received my orderI had to call the manufacturer from where the part is coming from to get legit information about where my part is they proceeded to tell me that they have not shipped my part yet and they are shipping it tonight as I’m writing this review and I will not get the part until the first of next weekI was also told several times that standard shipping would be to business days to get to me which was fine at the time I placed the order because he made me believe that I would have this part and ready to work on my truck the first of this weekHad I known then what I know now last week when I ordered this part I would have gladly paid the extra fee for faster shipping so I can have this part on timeI also argue at the fact that if this company would have put my part on the truck or told the manufacturer to last week when I ordered this I would’ve already received it by now and I would not be making a bad review for no company right nowIt is a very big inconvenience to me when my mechanic already has the parts that he ordered he ordered his half of the parts after I ordered this part and he’s already received his parts and I am still waiting on mine I also argue at the fact that if this company would have put my part on the truck last week when I ordered this I would’ve already received it by now and I would not be making a bad review for no company right nowIt is a very big inconvenience to me when my mechanic already has the parts that he ordered, he ordered his half of the parts after I ordered this part and he’s already received his order from a different company and I am still waiting on my ONE part to come in so that he can START to fix the transmission in my daily driver vehicle Thanks to this big inconvenience this has put me out another whole week before my truck will ever be finished or even worked on for that matter because he cannot finish the job without the flexplateI will not make further purchases from this company I will start to go directly to the manufactures of the parts that I need and I will not refer any of my friends or family that drive diesels to order parts from this company at allDiesel parts are expensive so I hope they take that into consideration when they start to lose business on the more valuable salesI also hope that someone from the Revdex.com can go to them and tell them what they need to fix how they need to fix it and stop lying to their customers When they are simply asked a simple question that deserves the truth to be toldIf the sales person did not know that it would take this long for this item to ship he should not have told me and had been so confident that I would have received this part by nowI am an unhappy customer with a very unhappy review and I hope this does not happen to anyone elseI will be taking my business elsewhere from now on and so will my friends and family that also drive diesel trucksThanks

I bought a FICM from Sinister dieselIt was shipped to me and when installed in my truck the part did not workI contacted SD to send it backThe warranty representative, ***, stated to me they had recently had SEVERAL FICM's come back and had to send them back to the warehouse for replacement*** had a shipping label sent to me and I returned the FAULTY partAfter some thought, I decided to have my original FICM sent back ( core charge) and wanted a refundA manager at SD agreed to send my original FICM back and they would test their faulty part, after, I would be issued a refundI received a call today, that they had tested their faulty FICM and found no fault with itThey would send a new one out to meI told SD I did not want their FAULTY parts I wanted my money backSD stated they did not do that

I ordered a simple part: a Chevrolet emblem for the hood of my car (got in a fender bender, had minor damage)I also ordered a grill the same day, which promptly arrived a week later
The emblem ordered from Sinister, however, has still not arrived (I placed the order in August, 2016)After contacting the customer service department on several occasions, I was informed that my order was shipped to the wrong addressThen nothingFive months later, and I have not received a replacement part or a refund
I am extremely dissatisfied with this transaction, and the fact that I have been driving a car with a damaged front-end for months nowI just want to fix my car!

I am rejecting this response because:  Sinister wanted me to remove the part from my truck, which in turn puts the truck out of commision, to return it for inspection. When the truck needs to be in service, this is an unacceptable option. The other option I was given, was to purchase a second part, install it and send the defective one back for inspection hoping my money will be returned for the second purchase. This is also an unacceptable solution because $500 is a lot of money to be out of pocket, hoping that it will be returned. I offered for Sinister to send me a replacement item from a different manufacturer, for whom they are a dealer for, because I did not want another item manufactured by Sinister. This offer was declined by Sinister.     In summary, I asked for a full refund, or a replacement with another product.

Tell us why here...In short, a refund could not be given to the customer ([redacted]) due to the condition of the turbo in which it was received. The RMA was issued with the understanding this turbo was damaged due to MFG. defect, this would approve a RMA,  even though this item is...

listed  on our website as a  "no warranty/returnable item, due to the fact of it being a high performance item. Again, as it is listed on our website: (Seen Below)[redacted] Upon receiving the turbo and it being inspected by our warranty department. The turbo was not damaged or failed due to mfg. defect, but a foreign object in the turbo or improper installation of the turbo. This was concluded by the type pf damaged that was visible on the turbo upon delivery. The damage was from a foreign object that was introduced to the turbo or improper installation. This will not be accepted as a return under warranty for "mfg. defect" and no refund can be issued to the customer. At this point the customer was notified on the current status of this return. A compromise was offered to the customer, but without a answer from the customer with the options were giving. The turbo was sent back to the customer and RMA was closed.

[redacted] has ended their claim and a credit will issued back to the customer ([redacted]) attached is a credit memo that has been issued back to the customer.

Sinister Diesel stands behind their products 100%. Our products do include a “lifetime warranty”. The product that was purchased is intended for “off-road use only.” By installing this product onto the vehicle, the buyer assumes all risk and liability associated with its use. In this situation, the customer did not want to allow us to do our part and inspect the item first, just demanded a refund for their money. Since the item has been installed, unfortunately we cannot offer a refund. We are more than willing to inspect the item and ensure the item is replaced. Thank you,[redacted]
