Review: I called Sintex Security Systems to inquire into their provision of Livescan services. I was told that they provide the service and their hours of operation. I went to their place of business and was told that my both I and my daughter, who needed a Livescan performed, would need a valid CA driver's license. I explained that she does not have a license yet, but that I had her US Passport; they said that this was not adequate identification. They showed me a list of what would suffice; included were a copy of her bank account documentation and an affidavit from myself identifying her as my daughter. I obtained the bank account statement and returned the next day, with my daughter and her passport, prepared to sign an affidavit verifying her as my daughter. When we returned I was told that I did not have adequate documentation. I asked to be shown the list of required documents; this was refused me. The boss came to speak to us. On the Livescan form there is a space for "Misc. Number" that I left blank. My daughter also left this space blank on her form. Jerry, the boss, he said that I did not have the correct paperwork as there was no bank statement. I pointed out my daughter's savings account information. I then said that I would sign an affidavit verifying that my daughter is my daughter. He said that I should have already brought this with me. I said that when I called no one said I needed to bring this prepared with me. He said my daughter didn't fill out the phone number. When I asked where, he said it should be under "Misc.Number" I said I didn't know that was suppose to be there. I asked for my own form back which had been deemed complete by the lady helping us, for the purpose of completing it. Jerry then gathered our paperwork, handed it back to me, and said that I had demeaned the lady helping us and that I could take my business elsewhere. I tried to explain that I was following the rules given to me over the phone by his employee; he said for $10 he wouldn't perform the Livescan.Desired Settlement: (Cont'd) I would like a letter of apology from this business owner. He said that I demeaned his employee by asking for the "complete" form back; he did not say that he also demeaned me and my daughter by rudely telling us that our phone number belonged under "Misc. Number" and that I did not have adequate documentation when I clearly provided what I had been asked to provide. This owner seemed embarrassed to not understand the documentation provided to him, as per his list, and reacted as such.

[redacted] contacted our office and talk to Misti and was informed that a Pass Port needs to accompany other documentation for her daughter to get her Live Scan finger prints done. [redacted] argued with out staff about not allowing the Pass Port only for verification. She was informed that Department of Justice makes the rules not us. [redacted] was told to bring Pass Port, Bank Statement and a Affidavit from Parent for proof. [redacted] showed up with Pass Port, savings account proof and no affidavit. [redacted] stated that we are suppose to supply it but she was told to bring it in (on video/on recorded call)with her. I then asked [redacted] to have her daughter place a phone number on form just incase there is a problem with services and she stated that it doesn't state phone number and I stated that why I asked her to put it there. [redacted] then stated to get even more upset do to the fact that she wasn't asked to place it on her form. [redacted] then talked down to my office staff and requested her for back so she can finish it correctly since my staff had already said it was completed. I asked her to not talk down to my staff and she said that my staff shouldn't have excepted the form if it wasn't completed in its entirety. At this point we had made every attempt to be polite but enough is enough. I informed her that she will have to get her Live Scan done at another facility and we reserve the right to refuse service to persons like her that no matter what you do, they will never except responsibility for their own negligence or disrespectfulness. We haven't received ONE complaint in 23 years in business and probably wont' receive another for 20 more years. If you think about it, we have done over 60,000 Live Scan and [redacted] is the only complaint, HMMMMMMMM. I also will never apologize to a person that thinks just because they are paying you $10.00 they can talk down to you or disrespect you and your staff. It was also a bad lesson taught to the child!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
