Ms [redacted] and I had gone out to the damaged building in question together to go over specific damage to be repaired so I could get an adequate material costSo we were aware of exactly what we were repairingThe first thing to be done was to unhinge damaged roll up door so it would not come loose and hurt anyoneI had the "Overhead door company", come to give me a proper bid on replacing door and to unhinge damaged doorI called and told Ms [redacted] the cost and I would need a deposit for them to have new door orderedShe said she was out of town and would let me know when she got homeSo being on hold, waiting for her and materials I had already ordered, I decided to start painting undamaged part of the buildingAgain I was denied because Ms [redacted] thought it unnecessary to paint until building was completely ready to paintFor these reasons was why it seemed as we drug our feet.At this time I was starting to suspect Ms [redacted] had, as so many others do, she had spent the insurance money and would be unable to pay meSo she called me over and pointed out a small dent in part of the framing and used that as an excuse to prolong my second payment per the contractIt was at that point I new for sure she was stringing me along and decided to at that time no longer do any work until she made her payment of $per the contractThat was November 8th Now months later she complainsI have never received any e-mail, nor letter from Ms [redacted] or any of her party, and can prove it.I have receipts showing where I have spent a total of $on materials for this project and also payroll receipts where I had spent $1950.00in labor totaling $Minus the only payment received by Ms [redacted] of $3500.00, leaves her owing me $423.68.I feel Ms [redacted] spent the Money and is trying to get work done for freeAt this point she can keep the $and forget this whole thing or I will sue her for Monies owed on contract, plus the $from my pocket as well as an additional $for defamation of character and slander

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: The man received $24,on a bid of $25,and completed no more than half the work - and that was bad. I have over photos of totally shoddy work. He lies when he says he did not take my property, because he did; one full box of siding, one full box of siding starter (value over $600), one large shovel and two saw horses. *** *** (SisBro Construction) never did any plumbing nor bought any plumbing parts. Electrical work was not completed and I have photos of how it was left in a dangerous condition. Walls were constructed with studs missing. You can shake the wall with your hands. They maliciously broke two new box fans and deeply scarred a new $storm door. In addition they hid a marble vanity back splash that they broke in half. Damages were intentional because they were done after I refused to fork over any more money. They damaged my property, took their tools and left. I have a reputable contractor on the job now. Cost to correct the bad work and complete the job is $16,500. That brings my cost to $40,500. He was given plenty of extra money - early. It just didn't go into the job. He went through more than $8,in eight days with two low-paid workers on the job while buying nothing during that time and immediately asked for more. I have a grievance list that is four typed pagesThe roof is the only thing done right, but SisBro Construction didn't do the roof
Sincerely,
*** ***

Businesses response via email:I have no more comments on this matter to Mr *** at this timeI refuse to continue on with this bantering of sortsI fill as if I'm back in grade school

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: the business is totally uncooperative and does not accept responsibility for their actions - taking the money, not doing the work and deliberately damaging property. The matter is unresolved
Sincerely,

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: These people were paid $toward an original bid of $26,500, did about 50% of the work and considerable damage in the work that they did - some deliberate damage on their last day at exit. They are inept. *** *** has stated that he had people without the proper skills and he let them go. If so, they were not let go until he was no longer allowed on my property. The same people who did the inept work are the last ones on my property. Perhaps if Mr*** spent time at the job site he could prevent things being done wrong. Anyone knows you don't sheet rock outer walls without insulating first. Anyone knows you don't sheet rock over outer walls with missing studs, you don't leave expensive new vanities under open windows during a storm, and you don't walk around busting up electric floor fans and scratching up new doors because you've been fired. These people did all those things and much, much more- including theftSincerely,
*** ***

I would have to say that miscommunication would be the biggest problem here. I neglected to make it understood that the bid proposal was an "approximate".The only part of the bid that was solid was the roof, siding, painting, and sheetrock workThese projects can be seen, unlike replacing all
the rotted 2x4's and OSB behind the paneling and/or siding that you cant even seeHow can anyone make a bid on something they cannot see. Most customers I'm afraid like Mr*** fall into the same trap, It ends up costing more than they planned in material and they get upset at the contractorThe cost for extra installation, electrical, and plumbing I believe got to be to much so Mr*** started insisting all that should be paid for by me even though he clearly states in his own e-mail that he would pay for plumbing, ect.I continued to pay for these items out of my own pocket thinking I would be reimbursedThe total cost for those extras is $698.02, Which I have never been able to collect.I have to agree with Mr*** that there was some bad work done on the sheetrock by some of my new guys who no longer work for me because of these mistakesI have offered to fix the problems he had brought to my attention, He refuse to let me repair the sheetrock, finish electrical, or fix the door that was 1/2" to far in (which I brought to his attention) I even ordered the siding needed to finish the job and had been talking too a professional about repairing damaged sidingMr*** stated to me that "I was no longer allowed on his property, and to not come backI have documentation that shows I have spent a total of $22,in materials, labor, and other miscellaneous items. He has falsely accused me of stealing, lying, and damaging property which I have done none ofI have a good name and a reputable business, I have had hundreds of dealings with other customers and never a complaint

[redacted] fails to mention that after the cost of materials and labor, this job was done as a Blessing to help since there was very little money at a non profit, and we were dealing with a third party. The cost of th glass and was $250 plus $150 in labor to install not counting...

several trips made there, TO PRC , at there request. Wishes construction went wait over budget. New I would and was perfectly fine with it. However th glass I had ordered didn't include a door pull. But did have a lock as requested. I tried to have glass replaced but was unable to since it was bought by a third party. I tried on several occasions to contact the "glass man" and was unsuccessful and with a single income family, financially I was unable to help at all. Even paying the $250 they are requesting is impossible. It's my believe THAT SiSBro Construction has gone about and beyond to reconcile this complaint. It's my believe it is more a point of the job not turning out as they had hoped and took advantage of my niceness. Sincerely they are a"non-profit organization" which thy were sure to remind me of on several occasions.

I am rejecting this response because:The contract drafted by [redacted]/SisBro Construction did not set out a time line in regard to the overhead door. It did set out when payments for labor would be made-$1500. to start, $1,000 when framing and sheeting were complete, and $800 on completion. With an approximate materials cost of $2,000. [redacted]/SisBro Construction was paid $1500 to start, given $2,000 to start for materials on September 16, 2016. He asked for more money on September 23, 20-6 for the overhead door.   He stated that he had gone over the $2,000 by $328 and he stated that after I paid $1,250, all I would owe was $1,500 for labor. When I asked to see the receipts, he responded that he had not actually purchased anything yet. On September 26, 2016 he said he had receipts for me to look at and he hoped to start working on the barn by the end of that week.  One post was replaced on October 1, 2016 and another post was replaced by October 12, 2016. On October 21, 2016 he said someone would come out and pressure wash and begin painting and I replied that there was really no reason to paint until the structure was completed. He said he would try to get out soon. October 30, 2016 he said they would be out to work the next day. On November 8, 2016 he texted and said they would be finished with the metal and I needed to to give him $1,000 the next day, November 9, 216.  I shared with him the issues I had with the few panels that had been put up incorrectly and that the joist wasn't replaced and asked to see the receipts that he had said he had and asked him to meet me and look at it. I had to postpone by a day to attend a family members funeral. We met at the property and as I described in the original complaint, he became upset.  I have dated photos of what work [redacted]/SisBro Construction did, as they did it. I have a signed contract that I complied with, that [redacted]/SisBro Construction did not comply with, I have emails that were exchanged between us and I have a barn that is not completed per the contract drawn up by [redacted]/SisBro Construction.  I signed the contract in good faith and my good faith was repaid by taking my money and not performing according to the contract. It appears to be basically theft. I require the return of the $3,500.
Sincerely,
[redacted] [redacted]

Ms. [redacted] and I had gone out to the damaged building in question together to go over specific damage to be repaired so I could get an adequate material cost. So we were aware of exactly what we were repairing. The first thing to be done was to unhinge damaged roll up door so it would not come...

loose and hurt anyone. I had the "Overhead door company", come to give me a proper bid on replacing door and to unhinge damaged door. I called and told Ms [redacted] the cost and I would need a deposit for them to have new door ordered. She said she was out of town and would let me know when she got home. So being on hold, waiting for her and materials I had already ordered, I decided to start painting undamaged part of the building. Again I was denied because Ms. [redacted] thought it unnecessary to paint until building was completely ready to paint. For these reasons was why it seemed as we drug our feet.At this time I was starting to suspect Ms [redacted] had, as so many others do, she had spent the insurance money and would be unable to pay me. So she called me over and pointed out a small dent in part of the framing and used that as an excuse to prolong my second payment per the contract. It was at that point I new for sure she was stringing me along and decided to at that time no longer do any work until she made her payment of $1000.00 per the contract. That was November 8th 2016. Now 2 months later she complains. I have never received any e-mail, nor letter from Ms [redacted] or any of her party, and can prove it.I have receipts showing where I have spent a total of $1973.68 on materials for this project and also payroll receipts where I had spent $1950.00in labor totaling $3923.68. Minus the only payment received by Ms [redacted] of $3500.00, leaves her owing me $423.68.I feel Ms. [redacted] spent the Money and is trying to get work done for free. At this point she can keep the $423.68 and forget this whole thing or I will sue her for Monies owed on contract, plus the $423.68 from my pocket as well as an additional $5000.00 for defamation of character and slander.
