I am rejecting this response because:
As I had previously stated in my initial contact to Revdex.com, I did receive response to my initial email and was followed up with a phone call to try and provide feedback to us regarding our issue. However that's a business practice to obtain a new client, I do not see how that is going out of the way to help an individual. We then did conduct the "training" in our home however, for a fee, the services were not free, its not as though this was doing us any favors as this was a business scheduled agreementHowever, all actions were NOT results orientedI have to say
it was all based on theory, and nothing but that
We've been having the
dog for less than one month and that was made very clear prior to our appointmentShe is a rescue dog,
and my mistake was being desperate to try and obtain some successful trainingThat was why I decided to call and arrange the training in the first placeFirst,
the kennel suggestion doesn't change anything regarding the training. It was delivered the night prior to the scheduled training visit into our home and there is no credit to be given from that suggestion because we actually did not address that issue or even view/use the kennel while the "training" session was being conducted
Second, there was zero flexibility about the demands on the type of food stated we needed to be feeding to our dogsThe comments made to us were that the "training wouldn't be effective nor work properly until we fed the dog a very particular brand of food." Even after we stated that the food brand we were instructed to purchase was out of our budget and asked for another budget friendly solution we were told that was the only type that would work and we would need to make "cuts in our home budget" to be able to purchase the specific foodWe were told repeatedly our dogs would "get cancer", and become "sick" etc just based on the fact that we were feeding them a standard brand of dog food "Purina" which millions of dogs eat worldwideThe specific brand of dog food was in fact stressed so many times and repeatedly that it felt like marketing of the brand was being pushed onto usWe were told the company had no affiliation with the "training" business, but "make sure to mention trainer name/name of business upon placing the order to get a discount"In my opinion that is feels like there IS an affiliation
Third, and most importantly our main purpose of hiring a "trainer" was to address the issue of aggression between our new rescue dog and our already existing smaller dogsThe small dogs were not even present throughout the training session until after much prodding by myself I asked to address that issueWe were instructed to put a gate up between the small dogs and our rescueThis was something we were ALREADY doing and that fact was known since our initial consultation phone callThat was all that was shown to us to "correct" the issueThat's not a correction, we had already been doing this since day oneThis was the main purpose of our training session and nothing regarding a solution was coveredI asked repeatedly even upon exiting the training session to say goodbye, what can we do to correct this issue? I was never provided with a solutionOnly again to change the food brand like magically this will correct an aggression issue?
Reverse psychology was used against us since we were not "stupid persons" like the ones that were being referenced in the "trainers" own words as to having
worked with beforeIt even got to the point where our dog got tired and tried to sleep during the training session as nothing was being done to show us what to do to train her. We were told by her wanting to sleep/lay down it was a sign of "disrespect"Never getting involved
with the dog personally, and always telling us how we should behave is not a form of trainingThe only
command worked on throughout the entire visit was sit, and nothing about how to handle the aggression towards the other two
small dogsWe spent most of the time hearing war stories about German Shepherds and the trainers love for the breedGreat, we feel the same way, but our goal was not to have had our characters attacked, be insulted in our own home and feel forced to purchase a very expensive brand of dog food
The only guideline left for us to follow was a menuNo training solutions were providedHowever we now know how to make some pretty expensive meals for our dogs
We achieved greater results
from watching YouTube and using my husband's military training techniques since the issue of aggression was not helped. I truly feel scammed, and that this business is an abuse of people's desperation to
exploit those feelings and a time of need.

Training of 'A**' a year old German Shepherd rescueIn my experience, when a person is desperate and is afraid for the lives of the other dogs in the house; I move quickly. I returned this client's email promptly and I called her when I got back from another training that day. I
have worked with many Shepherds and they are one of my favorite breeds and I was explaining to them that Shepherds take a different approach than most breeds. If it is not done correctly; we do not get the potential that dog is willing to give to us. I spent a great deal of time on the phone getting them started as I was booked and could not get to their home immediately. I recommended a change in diet; which is essential when a dog is aggressive to another dog. I recommended a kennel in their bedroom where they were locking up the little dogs and their rescue 'A**' was trying to get into the room to get to the little dogs; which she had attacked several times. This did put a stop to the attacks and got the dogs used to each other in a protected manner. I felt the training in their home went well. It was difficult for me to get the message across that we had to get A** 'engaged' in order to have her respond to their commands. The husband was frustrated that A** did not respond immediately. They had only had her weeks and it was going to take some time to get her to respect themThat is the first step: Respect. The 'sit training' that I teach is to establish Respect. They have no history on A** which makes it more difficult to teach her. I spent an hour extra of my time at their home explaining how things work with Shepherds. I stopped A** from going up to the landing where the other little dogs were. Soon, A** relaxed and laid down and my client remarked that that was the first time A** seemed to relax and lay down on her own. She seemed pleased and remarked to her husband that she was very happy with A**'s behavior. I put in the time; I made myself a**ilable to them; I gave my best advice; and I saw an improvement in A** before I left their home; which is remarkable. I can only teach; but, I cannot make people learn if they don't want to. I hope things work out well for A** and they follow, at least, some of my advice. I left a folder with special instructions for them to follow. I did everything I said that I would do and much more

I am rejecting this response because:The logic of teaching is to get validation and that comes by the students
learning; which in fact were my husband and myself (students) since we used a so called
"Dog Trainer". As previously stated we contacted the trainer to come and work with our dog that we
rescued 10 days prior to our AGREED upon appointment date and time. So it is nonsense to me hearing that the trainer acted quickly because again we made a business agreed upon appointment.
We could go back and forth recanting the day however perception and reality can
be two very different things. The reality is that the trainer showed up for three hours only to have told my husband to tell
the dog: SIT, SIT, SIT, and NO, NO, NO while the dog was not responding. That's
all that happened during the session. Never touched or worked with the dog, which
is totally in contradiction of a so called DOG TRAINER. Then it was recommended
emphatically to change the food to a specific brand, vendor, we were provided the phone number,
and to say we were the trainer's customers in order to get a discount. It was an insult to our intelligence how it was repeated that there was no affiliation with them. My husbands frustration was not against the dog or as the trainer has stated his
non willingness to learn. It was all towards how ridiculous, and
abusive the comments being made to him were. Like how was his childhood or that
he doesn't respond well to a woman who knows more than him. Very RUDE to make those statements by the trainer. Trust me, less than 1% of America's
population serves in the military, and less than 24% of that small amount meet the
requirements of the US Air Force (my husbands military branch). Only 6% out of that 1% of 300 million people
actually do! As I had previously stated we achieved greater results using YOUTUBE VIDEOS and personal experience. We love our pets, and are very willing to do what is best for them so they have the training to feel as happy as they can be. Which is why I was so focused on hiring a trainer in the first place. We were polite, thanked the trainer for her time in a very courteous way, because it
is not in our general nature to be rude especially when paying someone for
their services in our home. It wasn’t going as anticipated from the very first
moment. However all the while during the session I was personally thinking to
myself “this will get better”, “I am sure there is still more things to be
shown to us”. That was my mistake, I should have requested to end the session
and not continue when it wasn’t results oriented even after the first hour.
Especially given no contact was had between the dog and the trainer. However as
I stated, I kept anticipating a more positive outcome. But as soon as the
trainer left our home I walked back in and looked at my husband saying, what
just happened? We did not get any solutions for our original problem
(aggressive behavior) and nothing substantial to help us move forward with
training. There was a follow up phone conversation a couple of days after the session
with the trainer where I expressed my disappointment and feelings about the
services. I was still polite and still courteous but again was met with the
same feedback received during our session. No new solutions were provided to
help us continue successfully.
That evening after careful thought based on our terrible experience and feelings with this trainer to treat the dog's behavior I then sent the first email to the
trainer again expressing my disappointment and asked for a partial refund for
her services. This was my first attempt to solve this before venting it out through the Revdex.com. I am aware time and gas expenses were had which is why at that
time I did not request a full refund. However this was automatically rejected
by the trainer and that to me was an insult. I personally am not one to ever
complain of services or ask for a refund. Generally if I am unhappy about
something I am too nice to actually speak up about it. But I truly feel taken
advantage of and left with no more additional information that could be useful
in our training. My husband and I both took the day off from our jobs in order
to have this session. We truly wanted it to be successful. What purpose would
it have served us to invest the time, day off our jobs and money spent only to have
it wasted it in the end. At this point I cannot accept anything less then a full refund. Emotionally this has been very upsetting. And I am trying to prevent this unfortunate outcome from happening to anyone else moving forward.

The only guideline left for us to follow was a menu. No training solutions were provided. However we now know how to make some pretty expensive meals for our dogs.
We achieved greater results
from watching YouTube and using my husband's military training techniques since the issue of aggression was not helped. I truly feel scammed, and that this business is an abuse of people's desperation to
exploit those feelings and a time of need.
