We repaired accident damage on Ms [redacted] truckSeveral weeks later she returned stating that her headlight would not shift to the low beamAs a courtesy we let her drive one of our cars free of charge while we attempted to locate a used headlight for her She retuned our car saying that the a/c didn't work, so we put her back into her truckWe're still in the process of locating a suitable headlight for herAs soon as the vendor who sold us the used headlight provides us with a replacement, we will call her to come by and have us install itWe anticipate having it by Wednesday of this week and the wait should be approximately one hour while we change it[redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint Regards, L [redacted] W***

To Whom It May Concern, My body shop manager D*** C*** AND myself have both explained in detail to him why MrW*** is NOT due a refund and wasn't 'ripped off'(as he puts it) by usHe brought his in car to us for an estimate, then he took his car to GEICO (the inscompany paying
the claim) for a second estimateIn their estimate they found additional work than needed to be doneThen he brought the car back for us to fixWe repaired his car from the insurance company's estimate and they paid us for the work that we performed on their behalf. No more...no lessThis is the way ALL insurance claims are handledHe seems to feel that because our initial ESTIMATE was less than their FINAL estimate...that he should somehow...make a profit off his repair and get a check the difference in ESTIMATES.ESTIMATES are just that "ESTIMATES"(he needs to look up the definition of the word...i.e"an approximate calculation"...NOT a final guaranteed of a price) There is absolutely nothing unusual or out of the ordinary about how his claim was handledAs I've already stated previously...this has been explained to him at LEAST 5 timesHe's got it in his head that he should get a check for the difference in ESTIMATES and will not listen to reasonRespectfully submitted,JH *** IIIPresidentSitton Buick GMC

(1) I reject their statement because heir first statement when I questioned the amount of the bill, was "we have to charge what Geico paid" which according to my insurance company said is not a fact.(2) Sitton's estimate was $2,393.07.(3) Geico's estimate was $3,168.73.(4) Geico is not my carrier.(5) I paid Sitton $3,Geico's check was made to me, not Sitton

It is apparent that MrS*** agrees with his body shop's unethical business practiceHe was not present when the statement was made that "Geico is paying the bill, so we have to charge what they paid." He also states, "that they did the work it called for and he then received a check for the wok that we did." This is not correctI received a check prior to taking the car in for repairSo as he states, it must be standard practice to take advantage of customers in the body shopThis makes me wonder what "Standard practice" he has in the car sales

This complaint has been taken care of with the customer

Attached is his invoice. As to #1. He was told that we repair from the insurance company's estimate NOT "We have to charge what the insurance paid." We received their estimate, did the work it called for and he then received a check for the work we didThe check was made out to him because it was for HIS claim against the company of the individual who hit him and was issued to settle that individuals liabilityI hope that a copy this invoice and a 6th explanation of what is STANDARD practice in the collision repair business, helps him to understand that he was treated FAIRLY.
