Review: In march 2015 I bought 6 sixflags memberships for me and my friends. I was told to pay an amount of 789$ for 12 month installments like around 71$ every month. on 17th January I tried to cancel my membership but they told me its too early I can only cancel before 2 months i.e., after [redacted] january. I was not informed that I have to cancel it 45 days prior(later they told me it is in my membership agreement which I signed 12 months back). I cleared all my 12 month installments and on [redacted] feb when I tried to cancel my membership they showed me an additional monthly payment which I am not prepared for. I was shocked to see the charge without my consent. I didn't not receive any mail stating I will be charged an additional month if I don't cancel my membership prior 45days. I used to receive all the nonsense advertising mails from them but not this useful reminder. when I called the customer service member she just repeated "we cant help, you have to pay" without even trying to understand my problem. I am a good customer and paid all the installments on time and at least they can try to waive off and I gave them a 30day prior notice which is not that bad notice period. I was so pissed off because I am an international student here and I cant bear these unplanned additional expenses. How can somebody remember a membership agreement that was signed 12 months back that too for an amusement park. Its a long agreement and usually no one go through it because of time constraints. My question is why they didn't send me a reminder stating If I don't cancel it 45days prior I will be charged an extra month. Why they have to charge me an extra month without even informing me. I will never ever recommend sixflags to any of my friends and Its membership program is a scam. when it is a 12 month membership, who gave them the right to continue it without the consent of the customer.Desired Settlement: I will be more than happy if sixflags waive off my $71 dollar for a additional 13th month i.e., [redacted] march 2016 payment

Review: I paid for a young man's ticket at a church trip using my debit card. He bought a "membership", and Six Flags kept charging my card every month. It was no big deal, but when I lost my debit card and Six Flags was no longer able to debit my card, they turned me over to a collection agency.

Before they sent the account to collections, they left me 2 voicemails, but when I tried to return their call, the computerized message said "we do not recognize your number. Call back from another number" or something like that. I was unable to resolve the account with Six Flags because (1) I did not have a way to get the membership information which is not in my name, and (2) Six Flags failed to provide me a valid phone number to call to resolve the matter. Because Six Flags refused me the courtesy of a phone conversation, I ended up in collections over $46. I have also wasted a LOT of time trying to reach someone from Six Flags Corporate to resolve this.

I refuse to pay the collection company, because it will still show up on my credit report for 7 years as a paid collection.Desired Settlement: Give me a valid phone number to call and speak with someone. Remove the account from collections and take it off of my credit report. I'll pay the $46, although I really don't think I should after all this wasted time and harrasment from the collection agency.
