The Room Addition is 80% complete City inspections have passed.I had asked the homeowner for second draw in order to purchase cabinets and flooring about a month ago The homeowner said no; He said that he would purchase them. The cabinets just arrived last week (10-23-2017), as well as the floors

We will be addressing this issue this week We did drop the ball on fixing this gate sooner but it was not intentional and I was never avoiding or putting this customer off it was simply an error on my part I did make a mistake if I told him it would be done in weeks We do our best to address these issues in a timely manner however we do not have the labor to get to everything within two weeks so I was wrong in telling him this He called last Friday and I was out of the office but did receive the voicemail and emailed him back Saturday telling him we would take care of him this week I thought this would satisfy the situation but when he called again Monday I did call him back to make sure we were on the same page I was certainly not perfect in this case but a complaint to the Revdex.com was not necessary, before ever seeing this complaint I emailed and stated we would be out this week I hope anyone reading this understands that we are certainly not immune to mistakes but we never avoid customers or warranty work and a quick look at our reviews should alleviate any concerns ***

Revdex.com:
Regarding complaint ID ***, Andrew Thomas Contractors came to my house early this morning (4/27/17) and adjusted the gate so it closed correctlyThe fence installers were polite and professional and ensured I was satisfied with the adjustment before leaving
Sincerely,

The VA has removed my company from this project after the veteran (*** ***) harassed my family and I with over phone calls within a 24-hour period, sent threatening texts and voicemails I called the police after he tried to break down my front door twice, on October 8, at 11:
p.mand on October 9, at 9:a.m I have a police case number regarding this violent act Police case #*** By removing my company from this project, I cannot offer warranties on this project He came to my house wanting money or my truck The VA and the police are aware of this

*** did not call me the day of the fence installation We finished the project on September 27th and I received a phone call on October 3rd leaving plenty of time for the wood to shrink especially with how dry it was at that time of the year Again, I have submitted photos showing the fence installed with no gaps between pickets so I'm not really sure what else I can say regarding this Also, I have an email from the neighbors days after we finished the project with no issues or complaints only stating how they would like to pay Due to the confrontational nature of our relationship I am not comfortable sending my crew back on site I am sorry but I don't think it's fair to have to enter a hostile environment when I believe we did everything in line with industry standards

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: The gaps we see on our fence were what myself and my neighbors saw when we got home from work that same day the fence was built. That is why I called to have them come and see the fence. *** said the wood will shrink in hours and that is disturbing as I have seen so many fences where the wood does not shrink that fast. I mentioned this in my original complaint that my church also got a privacy fence (from another company) a month or more before I did. Their pickets are all still butted together and they are in the same area about minutes away. I just feel like if this is the case, I am just wondering why our fence shrunk so much so quickly. *** is saying our fence shrunk from having no gaps to having 3/inch gaps in just hours after it was installed. This does not seem like good wood if it did that and others don't shrink that fast. I am not asking for a discount. I know that in speaking to both *** and Joe that they do not want to compromise on anything like that because they built a Perfect fence. We don't agree that it is a Perfect fence but we also don't want to be just dismissed as liars about what we all saw when we got home that day when it was built. *** said we can call them about the dirt in the rocks. To them it may seem like it wasn't much but it does leave a lot of work for my neighbor and they were very unhappy about it. We would like to get a retaining wall on the bottom where they denied to build one because *** said we didn't need one there. But now the rocks are all coming in my yard and then *** says "You can take care of that yourself" He mistakenly told us we didn't need it and now it is obvious we did. We just want a little cooperation and compromise so we can have some satisfaction from this job. Sincerely,
*** ***

I have several pictures showing the fence installed with no gaps.  There are some angled pictures however there are also pictures that were taken straight on.  The pictures very clearly show no gaps between pickets.  I will send pictures to the Revdex.com to illustrate this fact and would be...

happy to discuss this complaint with any future prospective customers.  The shrinking of pickets is absolutely normal and when [redacted] pointed out the gaps she was most worried about I took a tape to them.  None of the spaces I measured were more than 3/8".  I offered to send her invoices showing where I purchased the pickets and I have heard nothing regarding knots until now.  Knots are part of a fence, we do not ever use "clear" cedar which would be the only way to avoid knots.  I did not send her to "other sights", I forwarded emails from my supplier and the mill where the wood came from.  These were to try and help her understand industry standards as well as the fact every fence has these gaps.  I can not emphasize this enough, we NEVER install pickets with slight spacing between them unless requested.  We install every picket as tight as possible as that is the easiest way to install them.  The dirt in the rocks was not excessive in my opinion and is unfortunately part of the construction process.  We needed to move a small piece of metal edging to dig the holes, when installing a new fence there will be some final landscape the homeowner needs to do afterwards.  I just hope people look at our other reviews and understand in this case the customer may be unreasonable.  If we make a mistake we fix it, no mistakes were made on this job.  I am unwilling to provide a discount for a fence that was installed correctly, this seems very unfair and a bad way of conducting business.
