Anthem sux. I had heard they were not approving doctor's requests for procedures and [redacted] if they didn't turn me down. I have been a customer with Anthem since 1992 and was denied an MRI that my doctor requested. I hear it is a very big problem and I am not by myself. I pay my premiums but they deny me service. They are nothing but a ripoff. I will be going on Medicare in two months so I wonder if this has something to do with it. Perhaps it has something to do with [redacted].. The whites pay the premiums and the blacks get the services. I would not recommend this company to anybody.

Additionally, the representative contacted our pharmacy team and ensured that Ms. [redacted] was able to obtain her prescription medication before ending the call. The representative provided her name and direct telephone number should Ms. [redacted] experience any issues going forward. Anthem is committed to providing excellent service to all our customers. It is never our intention to make it difficult for our members to do business with our company. al britt heating and air had to fix [redacted] big time mess up. thumbs up to al britt heat and air and F to [redacted] !!!
al britt came to my home for the 1st time today being 1/7/16. I now have heat. [redacted] put in an 1800.00 furnace on 12/28/15 and I had them out here 2- 3x since before this past tues. and they didn't give cust serv I should of received and technicians closed about 4 or 5 vents making it very very cold in home and al britt co. came out today and now I have heat and they deserve an A . I have no complaints on al britt heat and air as I am commenting on 2 companies in 1 comment section. al britt technician really knew what he was doing and was here about 2 hrs going thru all thoroughly. I highly recommend al britt heat and air and I give [redacted] a big fat F as they don't know what the heck they are doing. they are taking advantage of cust by ripping them off and sending people out that don't know the job !! I was told by Revdex.com in mphs tn I could comment on both companies at same time on website. al britt technician was very knowledgable and I will recommend them and use them again. I put al britt on angies list today w/ all A's and [redacted] company yest w/ all F's. I believe in cust serv and I feel people ought to tell the good and bad on companies so individuals will know who to use and who not to use !!! I feel [redacted] should of returned my calls and or text but they didn't . I do not want [redacted] to contact me in anyway and if they are going to do the right thing to give me a refund of some kind they can mail it to me !!!!

I was recently experiencing breathing problems due to my asthma. My doctor prescribed a short course of prednisone which I completed with little improvement,. My doctor prescribed a second round of [redacted] with a different dose and for a longer period of time.Anthem refused to pay for the medication saying that it was "too soon" to fill this prescription again. Since when does the insurance company trump the doctor in deciding when a patient should take medication? I was forced to pay for this medication out of pocket because, even though Anthem does not appear to agree, I had to breathe.

Anthem likes to tell their customers one thing, but then do something completely different; they also keep you on the phone for hours and you end up talking to 4 or 5 different people who all give you different answers.

I have been trying to get reimbursed for medical expenses for almost one year to the day. I have had to submit and resubmit the same paperwork repeatedly. I have had my company liaison to also go to bat for me only to be taken right back to day one issues. My doctor has repeatedly sent information and spent ridiculous amount of time on the phone with representatives. I have submitted the doctor invoices, we have had to resend to confirm procedure codes, I have provided my credit card bills as well as the actual receipts to show payment has been made. Every attempt at Anthem is to not pay. I am guessing they are hoping that I will run out of time to spend trying to get reimbursed. It infuriates me. The lack of response the low level of customer service in addition to the complete disregard for the time and money it is costing me to deal with them in my opinion is criminal. It should not be this difficult to get reimbursed.
