Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12398431, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:Tell us why hereThe reason his vehicle was located at my residence for hours was that he could not get my iaqualink to work correctly, which took almost the entire two hours I complained about the plaster well before the abbreviated pool school was complete Scott advised me that we needed to brush the pool once per day for the 1st two (2) weeks and then once per week after that I brushed the pool twice a week for the first three weeks because I did not see any improvement Regarding the PH balance During the time they took care of the pool during the weeks leafing up to the "Pool School" it was never balanced The day of the pool school and he had me sign off on the items he had to come back and finish, the pool did not have hardly any chlorine and the pH extremely high I was left two 40lb bags of salt and two gallons of acid and was told to add 1/gallon of acid every week until the PH showed good levels And that I would not need to add salt for at least to weeks I checked the water the following day and noticed the chlorine was almost zero and the PH still very high I brought a sample of the water to a pool store and was told I needed 5lbs of stabilizer, 40lb bags of salt and a gallon of acid to start Once I added what the store recommended my levels were good No help from Premier Regarding the “Pool Completion Sign Off" I can only assume it was the damp paper Scott asked me to sign that listed the stickers and cement because I was never given a copy Scott said it was just a note stating what he owned me I have no idea what it says, even though I have asked for a copy and have not received a response It's great how a pool contractor knows exactly why the plaster looks like it does when he has not even seen what it looks like No one other than Scott has come to my house from Premier Pool and Spas since I paid them the last check before the plaster was installed How would they know if they never saw how it was installed or inspected the job after I feel like they are putting me off until their warranty runsThe plaster on the top of the bench, on top of the swim up area and the steps appears thicker It is also thinker for a few inches below the waterline tiles I'm not sure how he could have answered that question without inspecting the plaster Before I accept anything I want a copy of the "Pool Completion Sign Off" sheet I have asked for, one of the jet's installed below the rocks like the other jet, a demonstration on how the jets can be adjusted, the name of the subcontractor that installed the plaster, the name of the plaster manufacturer and an inspection of the pool plaster to confirm it was installed correctly and that adequate plaster material to cover the streaks and other discoloration left from the acid used to prepare the gunite for the plaster The only area that looks half decent is the top of the bench and swim up.Regards, [redacted]

Tell us why hereNo pool school was scheduled on June 28th The pool school was scheduled on June 29th However, on that day, it started to rain and Scott felt ill so the pool school was rescheduled On July 7th, Scott returned to [redacted] home and gave him a thorough pool school Per the vehicle tracking device, Scott was there for over hours In addition, [redacted] signed a “Pool Completion Sign Off” sheet signed and dated July 7th The only issues that [redacted] had was missing aux stickers and to clean cement on the tiles No issues with the plaster or garden jets were mentioned Plaster takes approximately months to cure Like all cements, plaster hydrates water as it cures If the pH is allowed to spike for even short periods of time without adjustment, calcium falls out of the water and coats the plaster Water is then trapped under the calcium which appears as streaking This appearance is even more prevalent on the walls and coves because brushing the plaster is more difficult on the walls thus causing more pronounced streaking There is nothing wrong with the plaster other than the appearance We see this condition in two out ten pools completed primarily due to lack of brushing and chemical imbalance Most of these conditions disappear over time if the customer lowers the pH to a constant to The lower pH will dissolve the calcium and allow the plaster to hydrate Pool chemistry should be checked often. As for the desired settlement, we have no problem adjusting the jets and showing [redacted] how to adjust them; mark the control panel with stickers; and remove the cement on the water line tiles I addressed the plaster issue above

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12398431, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:Tell us why hereThe reason his vehicle was located at my residence for hours was that he could not get my iaqualink to work correctly, which took almost the entire two hours. I complained about the plaster well before the abbreviated pool school was complete. Scott advised me that we needed to brush the pool once per day for the 1st two (2) weeks and then once per week after that. I brushed the pool twice a week for the first three weeks because I did not see any improvement. Regarding the PH balance. During the time they took care of the pool during the weeks leafing up to the "Pool School" it was never balanced. The day of the pool school and he had me sign off on the items he had to come back and finish, the pool did not have hardly any chlorine and the pH extremely high. I was left two 40lb bags of salt and two gallons of acid and was told to add 1/gallon of acid every week until the PH showed good levels. And that I would not need to add salt for at least to weeks. I checked the water the following day and noticed the chlorine was almost zero and the PH still very high. I brought a sample of the water to a pool store and was told I needed 5lbs of stabilizer, 2 40lb bags of salt and a gallon of acid to start. Once I added what the store recommended my levels were good. No help from Premier. Regarding the “Pool Completion Sign Off" I can only assume it was the damp paper Scott asked me to sign that listed the stickers and cement because I was never given a copy. Scott said it was just a note stating what he owned me. I have no idea what it says, even though I have asked for a copy and have not received a response. It's great how a pool contractor knows exactly why the plaster looks like it does when he has not even seen what it looks like. No one other than Scott has come to my house from Premier Pool and Spas since I paid them the last check before the plaster was installed. How would they know if they never saw how it was installed or inspected the job after. I feel like they are putting me off until their warranty runsThe plaster on the top of the bench, on top of the swim up area and the steps appears thicker. It is also thinker for a few inches below the waterline tiles. I'm not sure how he could have answered that question without inspecting the plaster. Before I accept anything I want a copy of the "Pool Completion Sign Off" sheet I have asked for, one of the jet's installed below the rocks like the other jet, a demonstration on how the jets can be adjusted, the name of the subcontractor that installed the plaster, the name of the plaster manufacturer and an inspection of the pool plaster to confirm it was installed correctly and that adequate plaster material to cover the streaks and other discoloration left from the acid used to prepare the gunite for the plaster. The only area that looks half decent is the top of the bench and swim up.Regards,

Tell us why here.. [redacted] pool was balanced weekly.   His pool was plastered on 06/15/17 and started up on the 16th.  Scott made two more trips to balance the swimming pool.  A scheduled pool school was on 6/29 but it was raining.  The chemistry was also balanced that day.  The pool school and final balancing was performed on 07/07/17.  How can he make a comment about the pool being unbalanced when he was not doing the balancing.   The time frame from plastering to turning the pool over to [redacted] took four weeks.  He keeps claiming it took 6 weeks. [redacted] was pool schooled and he signed a “Pool Completion Sign Off” sheet.  Not only did he sign it, he initialed off on 3 sections.  It states that he was properly instructed; it states that the plaster is unconditionally not warranted; and damage due to neglect is not warranted.  I have attached a copy.[redacted] pool is covered with scale.  This happens when you neglect adjusting the pH and allow for it to remain high.  The day that the punch list was completed on Sept 28th, the pH reading was 8.2 which is very high.   The chlorine level was above 5 which is very high.  High pH allows for the suspended calcium to drop out of the water and form scale on the plaster surfaces of the swimming pool.  In a string of emails, [redacted] contacted Premier Pools about his punch list and garden jets on August 1st.   The first we hear about a plaster issue is in an email dated August 10th.  This is more than 30 days after his pool school.  Given that you have curing plaster which drives high pH, the pool will scale over unless you stay on top of your pool chemistry.  Apparently, [redacted] did not maintain his chemistry which he still does not do to this day.   I am fully prepared to help [redacted] fix his problem.  I showed [redacted] that the scale build-up can be easily removed using acid.  I cleaned an 8-inch diameter circle of scale on his plaster service to demonstrate the process.  This test also demonstrates that the white cloudiness is scale. All punch list items have been corrected including the jets. [redacted] Premier Pools & Spas

Tell us why here.. No pool school was scheduled on June 28th.  The pool school was scheduled on June 29th.   However, on that day, it started to rain and Scott felt ill so the pool school was rescheduled.  On July 7th, Scott returned to [redacted] home and gave him a...

thorough pool school.   Per the vehicle tracking device, Scott was there for over 2 hours.  In addition, [redacted] signed a “Pool Completion Sign Off” sheet signed and dated July 7th.  The only issues that [redacted] had was missing aux stickers and to clean cement on the tiles.  No issues with the plaster or garden jets were mentioned.   Plaster takes approximately 10 months to cure.  Like all cements, plaster hydrates water as it cures.  If the pH is allowed to spike for even short periods of time without adjustment, calcium falls out of the water and coats the plaster.  Water is then trapped under the calcium which appears as streaking.  This appearance is even more prevalent on the walls and coves because brushing the plaster is more difficult on the walls thus causing more pronounced streaking.  There is nothing wrong with the plaster other than the appearance.  We see this condition in two out ten pools completed primarily due to lack of brushing and chemical imbalance.  Most of these conditions disappear over time if the customer lowers the pH to a constant 7.0 to 7.2.  The lower pH will dissolve the calcium and allow the plaster to hydrate.  Pool chemistry should be checked often. As for the desired settlement, we have no problem adjusting the jets and showing [redacted] how to adjust them; mark the control panel with stickers; and remove the cement on the water line tiles.  I addressed the plaster issue above.
