The crack needs to be repaired regardless of whether or not it "opens up" anymore. It's plenty open now. The fact that [redacted]'s has successfully managed to delay the repair until spring will expose the foundation of our home to damaging moisture but we don't seem to have a choice now that it's too cold to poor concrete now. Considering the fact that we've been told over and over again that it would be repaired "next week" I'm skeptical that it will be repaired this spring and would like a written and signed guarantee that the repairs will be made in the spring regardless of whether or not any warrantee might expire by then.
