Review: This complaint about SJS's service and their lack of response when multiple attempts have been made to contact you about the problem.Last month we purchased a [redacted] deal for rug cleaning from SJS. When your contractor arrived to do the work, it was also agreed upon to pay an additional amount for more service, which we did.The work was shoddy. The carpeting throughout the house was left soaking wet and it remained so. My wife called SJS and was told that it would take a day or two for the carpet to dry. NOT SO.The floor moldings were soaked. We ended up renting industrial sized fans to try to dry things out. That failed, and when we lifted up a portion of the carpet to attempt to dry from the underside, mold was discovered! Our only recourse has been to rip up all carpeting and padding and to have it all replaced. This work will be done on Friday, and the cost was well over $2000.00 to do this! Before this installation, we have hired a company to remove the MOLD. This is not only a monetary hardship, but my wife is pregnant and will deliver in a few short weeks and this has very much caused her to suffer severe emotional distress. We are talking bedrooms, stairway, hallway and family room!DESPITE REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT SJS VIA TELEPHONE TO TRY TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE AND WITH NO RESPONSE, we will have no recourse but to file a claim with the Chesterfield County Small Claims Court to have suitable action taken. IF SJS DOES NOT WANT US TO PURSUE A CLAIM IN COURT, then we will be happy to discuss things with you by telephone. We have tried already, but our calls are not returned. We have emailed and the email box is FULL and the email was kicked back.Desired Settlement: Would like this business to pay for the entire mess! Refund payment for initial work, and pay for the mold removal, carpet and padding removal, and cost and installation of new padding and carpeting. This has run us thousands of dollars.
