I am rejecting this response because:I am rejecting the offer of a 1 month, 100 mile warranty on my engine and transmission that was offered by SK Certified Auto Sales for multiple reasons listed below.I believe they are liable for much more than a 1 month, 100 mile warranty. While the car was sold “As Is,” I was lied to about the “As Is,” condition of the vehicle when I purchased it. First of all, on the night that I signed the paperwork and paid for the car in full, the radio was in working condition. The very next day when I came to pick the car up, the car was not in the same condition as when I paid for it because the radio no longer worked. The manager/salesman Jamie refused to fix it when I contacted him before taking the car home and said, “buy a new one for $100 bucks because I’m not fixing anything else.” I had to take the car to a radio specialist on two different occasions because of their mechanic frying the radio itself as well as the wiring harness. The Jamie assured me that the brakes were very recently repaired (including brake pads, rotors, calipers, etc.) as I inquired about a brake pad light that came on right after the car was first jump started when I went to look at it. Despite Jamie’s claim, when I took my car to [redacted] Car Care Center, I was told my supposedly “new” brakes, calipers, and rotors (after approximately 1,000 miles driven by me) were bad and had to be replaced. Jamie insisted that my “8 months of driving caused the brakes to go bad.” Unbeknownst to him was the fact that for most of my ownership, the car was unable to be driven so the condition of the brake system couldn’t possibly have been a result of my driving. The coolant and transmission leak were known about by SK Certified Auto Sales and their mechanic because when I took my car to [redacted], a [redacted] technician, when trying to diagnose the problem, noted that although my coolant system and transmission harness were leaking, the leakage was recently cleaned up, which I can only imagine was in another effort by the dealer and mechanic to deceive me into thinking there were no leaks. The car came with a valid Maryland State Inspection. According to the MVA Maryland website, in order for a car to pass the Maryland State Inspection the following vehicle parts and systems must be inspected: • Steering system• Wheel alignment• Suspension• Brake system• Wheels / tires• Fuel system• Exhaust system• Bumpers• Fenders• Lights• Electrical system• Mirrors• Glazing (windows)• Wipers• Hood / catches• Door handle latches• Floor / trunk pans• Speedometer / odometer• Driver seat• Safety belts• Motor mounts• Gear shift indicator• Universal and CV (constant velocity) joints• Emissions equipmentDespite my car coming with a valid Maryland State Inspection, I had to fix/replace the following throughout the course of my ownership, all without driving it for more than a cumulative total of 1,000 miles: brake system (brake pads, rotors, and rear calipers), steering system (passenger axle and ball joint), exhaust system (exhaust manifold). There is no possible way that all of these things were thoroughly inspected as required by Maryland law. The ball joint had a substantial hole in it, the brake system was completely rusty and had gouges in its parts as well as the calipers locking up, the exhaust manifold was broken which made the car run very loudly and the axle was grinding metal on metal, dangerously close to failing. The condition that these parts and systems were in never would have legally passed an inspection. I do not trust or feel comfortable with the mechanic used by SK Certified Auto Sales, which is also the reason why I took my car to other dealerships and reputable mechanic shops instead of calling and asking SK Certified Auto Sales to fix it when things went awry, along with Jamie’s consistently repeated statement that “he has already put too much money into [my] car and he wasn’t going to fix anything else.”The day I drove my car home, there were two tools left under the hood, demonstrating the lack of care their mechanic has for their work.By cleaning up the coolant and transmission leakage to deceive me into thinking the car was in better condition, I am very concerned about the ethical standards of this mechanic and establishment in general and wouldn’t feel comfortable going to them if I did have a problem covered by the proposed warranty. In conclusion, I am NOT alleging the company is responsible for ALL repairs I had to make (windshield wipers, chips in windshield, defrosting windshield system, temperature sensor, washer pump, etc.), as I do realize the car isn’t new. I would, however, like to counter their offer and propose a refund of the cost of the repairs incurred by me due to the deception of the company (abovementioned and discussed in point #1) that misrepresented the “As Is,” condition of the car to me when I purchased it, totaling $1,500.

I believe they are liable for much more than a 1 month, 100 mile warranty. While the car was sold “As Is,” I was lied to about the “As Is,” condition of the vehicle when I purchased it.

Review: We purchased this vehicle with the understanding that payments would be made. The dealer did not confirm payment amounts, frequency of payments of length of payment period. The dealer accepted ALL payments and cashed ALL checks. The dealer then repossessed the car without written warning of a Right to Cure prior to doing so. The dealer has $3000 of our money and the vehicle in question. We have requested our money back and have not received any information from him since that time.Desired Settlement: At this point, we desire our $3000 be returned in lieu of the vehicle. That is the only outcome that we will accept at this point.
