the vehicleAs far as the doors, for months, I tried locating good, used, clean unrusted doors, as did Mr***, to no availWe also tried to locate factory doors, but these were also unavailableI explained that aftermarket doors are not the best fit, but he opted for this optionBefore he picked up the vehicle, I adjusted the doors to get the best alignment possibleThe panels discussed with customer were replaced. Re: the rear bumper, Mr*** wanted a new rear bumper bar that didn’t require step pads, but this was not an option, which he was made aware ofTherefore, we had to use the old step pads which he was fully aware of. The estimate did not include this which had a $difference at a savings to himUpon further discussion prior to the vehicle being finished, we discussed the grillHe agreed to an aftermarket grill, but this came in a black/charcoal color, which now needed to be painted (with extra time and cost to myself)I agreed to meet him Sun am to install the grillWhen he arrived, he was not pleased with the right front fender near antenna which I agreed to repaint if it didn’t look right the following week after the paint fully driedInstead, he suggested I accept $for total repair in lieu of doing any more work on the vehicleThe original estimate was $to $before Mr*** added replacing the grill (which was addt’l $125)He finally decided upon $total for the job with no further work and picked up his truck. I made a special trip am Sun am 9-10-to meet him with the truck he had already picked up and he began irately chasting me for my work and went so far as to inspect the old rusted sections I replaced in my metal pile and ended it saying “give me the grill and bolts and I’ll put the grill on myself” (The paint was too fresh to be put on the vehicle that morning)When he complained about poor fit of left door, he stated that he “played with the striker while at the park with his family.” Upon Mr*** leaving, he agreed to the price and just wanted to take the grillThis saved him $575.
