Customer Safety is always a concern for us here at Skaggs RVWe had the tires and alignment checked at a local truck tire shop who advised us there were no safety concerns and everything was "in specs" and they didn't see any problemsThat was what we based our decision onHowever, if the customer will bring their reciept and the defective tire back to us so we can verify the problem, we will reimburse them for the tire We are always concerned about our customers safety

In regards to the complaint filed by [redacted] , it is our utmost concern to make sure we have happy and satisfied customers, especially our military membersWe have been in business in this area for over years and continue to grow based on the excellent customer service we provide In reviewing this complaint with the employees involved I am finding all the promised repair items listed at the time of sale was repaired at no cost to the customer as promisedThe [redacted] s brought their unit in with a water leak they said was due to a water pressure surge to psi while they had it outThese water systems are designed to work on 35psi max and we give each customer a water regulator to prevent this from happening Mr [redacted] asked our service department to repair the leak but did not ask for an estimateThe repair including parts is only thing they owe us for and Mr [redacted] said to our service writer the amount was fine and he was glad it was repaired On Wednesday October 29, Mrs [redacted] called our service department using extremely vulgar language to both our service writer and a sales lady who was trying to work with her to resolve the problemShe was screaming to the ladies on the phone they were f---ing liars and our employees were not able to calm her down to get any issue resolved A few minutes later Mr [redacted] called back and said to not winterize the unit and he would be in to pickup the camper and pay his billHe did say his wife was making him file a complaint to the Revdex.com "to settle her down" I feel we became involved in the middle of a domestic issue not a service issue I am happy to meet with Mr [redacted] to discuss any questions he may have Sincerely [redacted] Skaggs RV Outlet LLC

Thank you for notifing me of the customer concernWe have been in business over years in this community and are always concerned about our customers satisfaction
I have researched the complaint from *** *** ***, and I find there seems to be a lack of communication internally about
the status of the referigerator for the ***sWe do have another referigerator at our dealership to exchange with the ***sIt was my understanding from our staff that the ***s referigerator was functioning fine but had some light cosmetic scratches on the side and that they would use it until the end of camping season and we would exchange at that timeWe will be happy to exchange the referigerators with them at any time
If there is anything else I can do to help in this matter, they are welcome to contact meSincerely

Bottom line up front; The clerks made a simple mistake that could have been handled very easilyMy wife expressly asked for an estimate only on the water leak. She was given the response of no problem, once we look at it we will call before we make repairsWe understand that mistakes are made and things arent written down when they should beThis could have been easily taken care of by saying "there was a mixup somehow and the repairs were made without first giving an estimate" No problemI pay and everyone is happyThe problem is expressing that my wife is somehow lying to youWhat would be the motivation for this? Do you think we expect you to repair something and not be paid for it? Of course not. When mistakes are made and you still say you were told to fix it makes no senseWhy would we even bring this up if we told you to fix it? The business statement says that "Mr*** asked our service department to repair the leak but did not ask for an estimate." I did not even speak to anyone when the trailer was dropped offIn fact, I never got out of the carIt is also very puzzling that the business refers to a domestic issueWhen your employess refuse to admit a simple mistake was made and then threaten putting a lock on the trailer due to a verbal contract simply enfuriated my wife and rightfully so.
There are several statements in the business responseThis is very telling of this organization and confirms the reputation of the business. I did call and say this and this only, " do not winterize the camper, as a matter of fact do not touch it anymoreI will be making a Revdex.com complaint against your business and I will come in and pay the bill, you can let your bosses know or you can forget about it after we hang up like you have done all along"At no time did I say "wife was making him file a complaint to the Revdex.com "to settle her down". To get this creative in story telling shows much deeper integrity issues. I will continue to stand behind the truth and will not back downYou can not treat customers this wayWhen mistakes are made, OWN THEM and noone will be called a liar and everythitng works out. We thought about paying the bill and letting it go. We will find another repair place in Louisville but after reading the response from the business I feel that I have no choice but to make it my personal mission to tell my story on any and all review, online trader, RV, Forum and website that existsFair is fair and people should knowI vow to stick to facts and facts only about my entire experience with Skaggs RV. Thank you Revdex.com for viewing this complaintIf it were not for you cunsumers would have nothing to combat vulture business practices that are on display with Skaggs RV

This customer's complaint has been addressed and resolved a couple weeks agoI had talked with the customer and assured him it would be taken care of immediatelyHe came back in the same afternoon with his family and was looking at the possibility of trading for another RV and we did hold the
paperwork while we were in trade negotiationsOnce we were sure the customer was not interested in trading the motorhome back in we completed the transfer and sent his registration and lisc via registered mail

We had already sent his check however, we were delayed while we were waiting on Mr [redacted] to send us a power of atty for his wife as she was on the title also .Thanks[redacted]

What happened was, after almost 7 months without a title I took the RV back and asked for my money back.  They refused and said the best they could do was to give me a credit for the purchase price.  That is when I took my family down and the RV to look at their inventory.  After leaving the RV at the dealer for the weekend, I received a phone call saying the credit would not happen because of the damage done to the RV.  The first trip in the RV the brakes failed we hit a trailer and damaged the front right headlight and fiberglass.  The same brakes that was inspected and serviced by the dealership 6 months prior when we bought it.  The dealer then stated the damage was over $8000 to fix it, so the credit deal would not happen like we agreed and shook hands (with the owner of the dealership).  The deal they offered was to take $8000 off of the credit of the RV.  I took it to another shop the bill was under $2000 to fix it.  After 3 weeks, a letter from the county attorney, and the state attorney general I finally received registration in the mail.  It took six and a half months to get them to transfer the title.  The good thing they did was once the registration ran out on the plates, is when they gave me temp tags so I could go on my trip for surgery.  I am no sure what happened with the title issue, but they dropped the ball, made another deal, and then broke that deal.

Once the sale was complete in December Mr. Skaggs asked for the title to the rig.  It was sent to him within a week.  It then took until March to notify us of the need for a power of attorney.  Once it was sent to us it was executed and returned within 5 days. It then took another month and a complaint to the Kentucky Attorney General before Mr. Skaggs sent the check.  The check has been received and cashed.  I consider the complaint resolved.I will not consider doing business with Skaggs RV Outlet in the future, and would not encourage anyone else to either.

Mr. [redacted] came by and picked up his check a few days ago.

In regards to the complaint filed by [redacted], it is our utmost concern to make sure we have happy and satisfied customers, especially our military members. We have been in business in this area for over 31 years and continue to grow based on the excellent customer service we provide.
In...

reviewing this complaint with the employees involved I am finding all the promised repair items listed at the time of sale was repaired at no cost to the customer as promised. The [redacted]s brought their unit in with a water leak they said was due to a water pressure surge to 110 psi while they had it out. These water systems are designed to work on 35psi max and we give each customer a water regulator to prevent this from happening.
Mr. [redacted] asked our service department to repair the leak but did not ask for an estimate. The repair including parts is only thing they owe us for and Mr. [redacted] said to our service writer the amount was fine and he was glad it was repaired.
On Wednesday October 29, 2014 Mrs. [redacted] called our service department using extremely vulgar language to both our service writer and a sales lady who was trying to work with her to resolve the problem. She was screaming to the ladies on the phone they were f---ing liars and our employees were not able to calm her down to get any issue resolved.
A few minutes later Mr. [redacted] called back and said to not winterize the unit and he would be in to pickup the camper and pay his bill. He did say his wife was making him file a complaint to the Revdex.com "to settle her down".
I feel we became involved in the middle of a domestic issue not a service issue.
I am happy to meet with Mr. [redacted] to discuss any questions he may have.
Sincerely
