Review: I have been a customer of SkaggsWalsh formally know as Atlas Fuel Oil Corp for over 15years. I have been receiving heating oil for my hime for 15 years with out any issues until 03/**/2013. On 03/**/2013, Skaggs Walsh made an anauthorized alleged delivery to my home, without my presence. My daughter arrived home from work asking them why they are there again, and told them to stop any delivery of oil because I recently had a delivery of oil. The following day they dropped off in the middle of the building hall way an invoice in the amount of $770.66 My daughter imediatley called the company and spoke to "[redacted]" asking why was a delivery sent to my home with out my authorization and why are we being billed for oil NOT being delivered? "[redacted]" indicated that the truck was sent accidentally to the wrong home, because someone forgot to change the computer home screen. So I asked well, why am I being billed, and [redacted] said, because you still received oil. I immediately told her the truck never placed oil in my tank because my daughter stopped the delivery. I also indicated to her why would I have oil placed in my home when I had a delivery on 03/*/2013 in the amount of $1,918.34. Why have another oil delivery 7 days later. Clearly your company made a mistake and now want the client to pay for it.Desired Settlement: I am asking SkaggWalsh to take responsibility and accept the fact that they made a mistake. You sent a oil truck to the wrong home and then proceed to allegedly provide me with oil with out anyone being in the home. I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years never complained about service or quality. I find it imaginable that in this day in age a company would risk it's reputation for a mistake they clearly made. I kindly am asking they own up to it and make my account "zero" balance owed.

Response:

Dear [redacted],

The account for [redacted] was active, with an active delivery address, on will call status at the time of the delivery. In error, the driver went to the wrong address on March **, 2013, and delivered to [redacted]. An agreement was made with the customer on April **, 2013, that a payment could be made for the oil when the customer would have ordered oil again. It has now come to our attention that the customer has reneged on the agreement. In light of his refusing to pay for oil that he knows he received, and in light of the fact that we delivered in error, we will remove the charge for the oil.

A solid oil delivery company. A less then stellar repair/replacement Company

Ralph a rather unprofessional technician came to my house while only my wife was at home to assess an issue we were having with a leaking hot water tank. His advise

was that rather than remove a paneled wall it would be best although more costly

to instead of replacing the unit at its current position to place the new unit a distance away leaving behind a disconnected tank..

The cost he quoted my wife was 1,800 due to about $250.00 of additional material needed to reach the new location + additional labor that may require upwards of 4 hours. The laborers who performed the job could not emphasize enough how much easier it would be to remove the panel board and surrounding molding so as to be able

to replace the original tanks position. They did not remove but rather tore down trhe panel and cracked the molding so that neither could be put back upon the completion of the job. On top of that in removing the old water tank they did not drain it first thus

leaving a trail of water from my basement steps to the front door.

The basement carpet will need to be replaced as well as a need for a carpenter to rebuild a panel wall with molding.

That night with all the facts - material savings / labor savings + the additional cost we would have to incur my wife reached out to Ralph who rather rudely and abruptly said

the price would be reduced $100 only

Today before posting on Angie's list and here I had Heat my consumer group reach out numerous times to just try and get them to be somewhat reasonable as the unit would have cost me $975 including tax to lower how much they make from me from ripping me off to making a great profit each time Ralph let greed get in the way of a business customer relationship. I have always had a credit balance as I do even after they have taken the 1,700 from my account.

I asked for an invoice supporting the $1,700.00 withdrawal which Ralph says will take over a week to get me but only minutes to take from my account
