So I just went to try rollerskating after almost years of not goingWent to this roller skate rink In east bremerton and as soon as I got onto the rink I got a phone callWell the roller rink 'ref' blew his little whistle at me and approached me was was highly unprofessional and yelled at me to get off my phoneSo I did and got off the roller rinkI looked any where for signs saying no phone usage on the rink, only to see low and behold, there wasn't anySo mind you I haven't been but five or so minutes at this place so aggravated about that guy, I turned in my shoes and let the young kid know what had happened and advised him that I would not be backHis response was, "yeah I'm sorry, it happens!"
Now fueled even further by his response, I went up to the cashier booth to let that lady know what happend, she advised me that the 'ref' guy never gets any complaintsI told her every one has their bad daysAnd she has asked if I wanted to talk to the owner about it

1/31/18Response to complaint submitted 1/21/ID# ***.We do have our floor guards blow the whistle to get the skaters attention then skate up to the customer with an explanationThis is necessary because we play loud music (no different than alife guard at a pool or a teacher on the
playground)This floor guard is a really nice guy and never has any complaints aboiut him, in fact people love him and he was probably trying to talkabove the music and not yellingIn fact when I asked him about the incident he didn't know anyone even got upset with himWe do announce the rules every skating session about 15minutes into that session and say there is no fast skating or tag, no carrying of small children while on skates, no siting or standing along the walls, no using eel phones while skating, etc.,etc.I also talked to the lady in the office and she said that she offered the man some passes and appoligized to him but he insisted on speaking with an ownerI talked to my the other ownerand he said that he appoligized twice right away for his bad experience and that the man actually walked away from himAlso the girl that was with him did in fact get a refundWe havetalked to our employees about handling of customers and my wife has set up an appiontment with him for she and I to give the man a refund and some passes personallyWe don't know theman but my wife was forwarded a Facebook rant from someone she knows and contacted him threw Facebook. Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/06/15) */
Yes, I have to admit I did say "make it fast I have a long distance call on hold". Our point of sale system was having issues and I was on the phone with technical support to resolve the issues. Our laser tag is very popular in our community. I...

do believe that this group arrived around 8:30 and was explained that the laser tag was full till 9:50 pm. They all agreed they were willing to wait till 9:50 to play their first game of laser tag. Later in the evening another group of 10 asked about adding laser tag to their night too. We said we did not have any playing times until 10:20 that all 10 of their guest would play all together. They said that would be too late as they needed to leave around 10:00 pm. Our ticket seller explained we could split their group into 2 groups of 5 and get them playing earlier if that would work with them. They opted for that option. Yes, that means 5 of the girl scouts would be playing with the complainants group when they played. We never let groups play exclusively by themselves if there are others who are wanting to play too. Unfortunately there is just not enough time in the day for us to make this possible.
As for the problem concerning getting her food in a timely manner I will apologize for this issue. I am not sure what happened. We are always trying to keep up with cleaning our tables and carpet areas so there is a feeling of being clean. I have no excuse of how we failed on her visit that evening.
While talking to the complainant regarding her complaint with playing laser tag, she said they had been explained about how long it would take to get to play laser tag and her and her friends where OK with the time frame. One of her friends then entered my office and said it would be ok that their friend was going to be able to stay and play with them. I did explain we do not offer refund since they had agreed to the time of waiting at the time of purchasing their laser tag admissions. As for her statement of "not having a problem of sharing the time slot but we didn't want to hurt the small kids", laser tag is an interactive game but played with no physical contact and no running in the arena. We have had many different age groups playing together in the past.
In closing, I would like to say I had this conversation with only one person, the complainant with concern to times and refunds. One of her friends entered later as stated above with information that the times would be ok and work for the friend who had a curfew. As the owner of Skateland, we do take pride in our facility and with customer service and offering a clean and safe facility to our community. I am sorry if this customer thought we failed them in anyway and hope they will return and give our facility another chance
