I called SKCO and spoke to 3 people, was told I I could get refund and they wanted receipt faxed to them. The receipt was PC generated so they have it documented I paid $500.00.I had two weeks to move, and I have been unable to find receipt. The receipt was printed on copy machine paper.Called back twice and told by 2 other people in accounts dept. that they'd have to call me back. I didn't recieve CB.The hold payment was made on my Visa checkcard with PNC Bank.I just want the $500.00 back.Did not purchase truck with them.

Thank you for contacting us. In order to provide a refund,we do require a receipt and refunds are provided within 30 days from the date of purchase(Limitations apply). If you do not recognize a charge as a valid charge on your statement, you can always dispute it with your financial institution.

SKCO does not honor its 30 day warranty.
I purchased a 2016 Nissan Sentra from SKCO Automotive on 04/28/18. I was happy to have a 50% parts and labor warranty for 30 days after sale in case anything was wrong with the car. A few days into driving the car, I noticed a slight thump when putting the car in drive and pressing the accelerator. The noise was very quiet and intermittent at first but it made a very loud thump about 2.5 to 3 weeks into driving it. I contacted the service dept and they set an appointment for approximately 8 days later. I brought it in for assessment and the service manager, *** assurec me that the warranty was in effect from the day I called to set a service appointment until the repair was finished. *** called in the afternoon and started by asking if I had run over something with the car since the "transmission pan has a nick in it with no rust around it" I had not run over anything and told him this. He called later that day and said the CV joint needed a seal, but that I could come get the car and drive it away, which I did that afternoon of 05/25/18. *** called me the week of May 28 to let me know that the part was in and that I could bring my car in to finish the repair on Monday June 4. *** called me early in the afternoon of the 4th to tell me that the transmission of the car was completely demolished and that the "warranty company" won't pay their share. They were saying this was my fault, even though I never hit anything, never damaged the transmission, did everything I was supposed to do to have this warranty honored. *** told me to call my insurance company to pay it, to which I responded that I would not call and make a false accident claim as it is against the law and could cause me to be prosecuted. My family even offered $1,000.00 if SKCO would cover the rest, but SKCO refused. I was offered approximately $3,400.00 to fully replace the transmission and then two prices ranging from about $2400 to $2700 to replace it with a refurbished transmission. It is pretty clear to me now that SKCO 30 day warranties are not worth the paper they are written on. The company handled this extremely poorly. I am looking for any recourse to this completely unfair situation.

Desired Outcome

Either through the Revdex.com or through small claims court, I would like half of the repairs to my vehicle paid by SKCO. I took the vehicle to an outside mechanic, as I and several other mechanics I have described this situation to, do not trust the explanation of damage and needed repairs given to me by

vehicle was at our service department on 05/25/2018. Vehicle was diagnosed and found to have significant impact damages to undercarriage concentrated around transmission bottom surface. Customer was notified and estimate was given per her request to repair the damages. She declined the repair. Warranty coverage was declined due to visible impact damages.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
SKCO continues to assert that I caused the damage to the transmission which leads me to the only possible conclusion as to their inspection process for incoming automobiles: that to reduce time and cost and get a vehicle on the lot as quickly as possible, SKCO's service department does not fully inspect automobiles as long as they seem to drive well and the motor seems to be in good shape. This assertion is supported generally by a confidential conversation I had outside of business hours with a mechanic employed by SKCO (I will not identify as I do not want him to face any retaliation from his supervisors). Yes, I did take the Sentra elsewhere for service, where it was repaired and the problem resolved with the transmission pan and axle for the amount of $275.00 (of which I can provide photocopy proof)- a far, far cry from the some ten times the amount quoted me by ***. It is clear to me that either 1) the service mechanics at SKCO are over their heads when it comes to properly addressing fairly common vehicle issues or 2) SKCO Automotive's Service department acted in concert to cover for their lack of pre-sale vehicle inspection, then failed to fulfill the warranty as promised in our contract, and finally, overstated the damage by a gross amount to defraud me of further monies. One of these conclusions must be true. As it is, I was able to have the car properly, honestly and efficiently diagnosed and repaired, so my epic journey with SKCO has come to end- to my great relief. I will never buy anything from them again and will be removing their brand completely from my car so as not to advertise a company I feel is not honest or trustworthy. I would strongly suggest to SKCO in the future to contact the fine mechanics at Transmission King- not even a half mile from them- for any transmission problems which they obviously can't or won't bother to address, to avoid another absolutely horrid customer service transaction.

SKCO Automotive Response • Jun 25, 2018

The issue is not with vehicle inspection. We received the vehicle at service with damages. Damage estimate was provided at customer request. Customer declined the repair. Has nothing to do with skco's service inspections or sales department. Please see attached photo from our file of the vehicle damage. If customer requires further explanation, she can contact our management direct.
