Contract signed with [redacted] of Skiba Renovations in November of 2014. Project is not completed and wht is completed is not correct.11/21-Signed contract. $13,000.Gave 50% deposit(check for $6500).Verbally clarified contract in home with [redacted].Verified side panels to be 1 piece, cabinet conversion to 2 garbage receptacles to be full cabinet size taking out the pull out drawer, butler's pantry is part of kitchen (include change of shoe molding to cabinet color, soft close to drawers), handles adding to match existing, shoe molding in kitchen to be changed to match color to cabinets, siding needed to close existing window to match existing siding (James Hardie color plus technology arctic white), window being placed in family room will match existing windows.12/6-[redacted] told us cabinetry delay due to holidays.Told quartz arrived cracked, sent back by fabricator, will arrive 12/17.Told window would be in this week and would start this week on it.12/15-No word from [redacted]. Texted him.12/18-Returned text from [redacted].Told window on delay, won't be in until 1/4.Told cabinetry in.Countertops still not in.Told will start 1/5.1/4-Text to [redacted] asking if starting 1/5.[redacted] says one week out other projects to finish, but products in.1/6-Spoke to [redacted] to get definite start date. 1/14 start date.1/9- Requested to see quartz, told not here yet.Call from [redacted] that his wife was in accident in Venezuela and he needs to travel there. He will update us following week.1/14-Email to [redacted] requesting update.1/14-Email from [redacted] stating [redacted] has poor reception in Venezuela.He will return 1/26 to start project.Granite will be here 1/23.1/23-[redacted] says returned from out of the country, all products in, and he will start 1/26, completing project over 3 days.1/26-[redacted] arrives at home stating he is unable to pay for cabinets. If we want to get project started we will need to pay for cabinetry. We paid [redacted] directly for cabinets($2756.82).Told window not in yet. 3 cabinets dry fitted, Plastic tarps placed. Cabinet doors for Garbage Receptacles wrong size, reordered.1/27to1/30-Existing granite removed. Quartz placed. 3 cabinets set in place. Side panels two piece not one, reordered. Not enough toe kick ordered, more ordered. Soft close placed. Missed oven drawer, Butler's Pantry drawer. Drilled hole in wrong place on one of new cabinets, needs replaced.1/30-[redacted] requested money to be able to pay workers and return to finish work. $1000 check given. 2 weeks until product needed will be in, he will return in 2 weeks.2/21-Email to [redacted] asking when he will return.No response.2/24-Response from [redacted].He has been out of town.He now is waiting for warmer weather.3/8-Text message from [redacted] at 1049pm.He will be "over tomorrow" to complete work.3/9-[redacted] returned. Wrong door size for garbage conversion, needs reordered.Original doors and hinges removed.Cabinet sawed and left open. Side panel not completed on conversion side.Side panel on opposite side loose.Electric outlet at side left loose. Toe kick not here, not completed.Remaining soft close not here, not installed. Window installed does not have the same closures as original windows.Questioned [redacted] about warped window.[redacted] said fit was fine, won't show.Window does not lock or close properly. Email from at 550pm stating that [redacted] is bedridden in hospital due to work injury.Desired Settlement1. Completion of work including correction of issues by April15th. OR 2. Contact information and receipts for cabinetry, countertops, window, and siding so that we can complete project. A written document signed by [redacted] stating we owe nothing further to Skiba Renovations/[redacted].
