We have found and are forwarding what information we have on her complaint. The original repair was done in 2013.From the photos you will see a chrome bumper with a dent, above it is the defective after[redacted]et part (faded black). Below is a similar OEM part installed at the same time. The difference is obvious.The problem started with a cheap insurance adjuster writing the authorization estimate with all the used and after[redacted]et parts he could find. We have no authority to force them to pay for original equipment parts although they are much better. A lot of companies just want to go as cheap as possible and worry about the complaints later.The manager here, [redacted], attempted to get their insurance company to pay for an OEM replacement cover. He spent a lot of time and effort on this but just got a run-around.  ( I will forward our original notes about this in the next e mail)I think the [redacted] should be complaining about the insurance settlement and not about us.At this point we can:A. get another A/M cover from the vendor at no charge, but it would be the same as the one they got, which they said they don’t want.B. put an OEM cover on at their expense, and let them try to recover from their company.C. There are ‘Armor all’ type products available that will make the cover blacker for awhile.We warrantee our workmanship but especially not parts that are specified by others. In the future I would recommend they change insurance companies.  These are the original notes showing what we have done to try to get an OEM cover for the [redacted].

Review: Skill Craft Body Shop installed faulty parts, gave them a chance to fix it, called numerous times and emailed pictures of the faulty part and Skill Craft would not help in getting it corrected.Desired Settlement: Install a new OEM part that is not going to fade or crack, good quality.
