I paid at two different times using two different forms of payments. The spa is saying they have no record of second form of payment for a refund.
I visited the spa on February 28th of 2013 for a fraxel treatment. I paid an initial deposit in February of 500 dollars including a clear bottle to use on my face before treatment and the total was $596.00 processed on mastercard on the date 03/01/13 identifier # [redacted] on mastercard statement. At the time I was told by front office clerks that I could pay in full or I could pay at different times and their was no deposit even required. Therefore, I paid half thinking it would be a non-issue. My fraxel treatment was scheduled for March 27th 2013 at 2:15 pm. I made a cash withdrawal from my bank using my mastercard transaction number XXXXXX on my bank statement for $500.00 to pay the remaining portion of my treatment. I paid in cash on March 25th 2013. My witness was my grandmother who took me to the office to make the payment so all preparations would be made before my treatment. I arrived on the day of my treatment and was turned away because of a few acne spots on my face. I have remaining paperwork the medical spa gave me and no where listed on the documents does it state I would not be able to receive treatment based on the acne spots on my skin. I was prescribed a few bottles of amoxicillin by Dr. [redacted] and told to take two a day to hopefully clear acne spots in preparation for the fraxel treatment at a later date. The amoxicillin failed to give desired results and I had made another appointment with Dr. [redacted] RN for a photo facial treatment on May 15th. I was told over the phone that I had a credit for what I paid for the fraxel of a thousand dollars and would be able to receive two FotoFacial treatments at five hundred dollars per session with a recommended treatments of five. On May 15th I purchased the required bottle of cream for numbing at $25.00 charged on my Visa transaction number XXXXXX on my bank statement. I decided ultimately that I wanted to do the original fraxel treatment because my skin had acne scars and I desired for them to look less noticeable. I called and made an appointment for June 11th at noon for the fraxel. I had called again before the desired date to cancel because my father had a wedding that weekend and I would not be able to heal in time for the wedding. The receptionist [redacted] informed me that I could call on any day once my skin is clear enough and they can try to get me in that week while my skin is clear enough. I waited all summer and the timing just didn't work well for me so I ultimately decided to just get a refund and try this procedure again next year. I spoke with an initial receptionist about everything and she informed me the office manager would need to approve this was dated August 9th 2013. The office manager named [redacted] informed me that my refund would be approved and refunded on my mastercard. I declined a receipt in the mail because I can check my bank account to see what is refunded. I assumed it was for the full amount I paid however, it was only for the initial deposit on February 28th of $500.00. I called back and spoke with another receptionist and she informed me she would give this issue to [redacted] again. I spoke with [redacted] on the phone on August 16th 2013 around 11:30am. [redacted] stated that they show no records of any other payment other than the deposit of $500.00. She said that I might have tried to pay on the day of the visit but for some reason it was voided because of the issue with my acne. If the payment went through on my MasterCard wouldn't it have showed a voided amount on my bank statement. I have a witness my grandmother who saw me crying because I was turned away and I had received no money back on that day of March 27th 2013. Not sure if the receptionist didn't enter my cash amount in the system but this whole summer I was told I had a credit of $1000.00 on my account. So I didn't get the desired treatment I wanted and I lost $500.00 in the process.
