I am rejecting this response because:Please research your info before typing itRe ***: You are INCORRECT*** complies fully with the lawPer *** page *** "*** Gift cards sold on or after 2/3/do not expire!" This is due to both Federal and State laws. The rest of your info is equally incorrectI purchased a package of peelsPlease read the laws regarding gift cards/gift certificates and the definition of such an itemThis peel package complies with the Federal governments definition of a gift certificateBy BOTH Federal AND State laws, these do not expire for a MINIMUM of yrs I attempted to use these twice in The second attempt was UNUSED, because your office double-booked the appointment slot, so I walked away without a treatment that dayIn 2016, I used a second treatment. I am still owed for treatmentsI had an appointment booked for one of these BEFORE you announced your closingThe owner booked more appointments for meHowever, when I rebutted paying an illegal surcharge, she cancelled ALL of my appointments and refuses service. This refusal of service constitutes a refund allowance for all unused services4/of my services are unusedI am entitled to a refund of 2/of my original amount paidWhile I feel for this merchant's family emergency, this does not allow her to defraud patrons and impose her own illegal fees and expiration dates on prepaid packages

I am rejecting this response because:Clearly, the owner is not complying with State and Federal law for which the statute declares the purchase of service packages to be deemed as gift cards, and further that they do NOT expire for a minimum of 5 years. See below: Colo. Rev. Stat. §6-1-722"Gift card" means a prefunded tangible or electronic record of a specific monetary value evidencing an is[redacted]r's agreement to provide goods, services, credit, money, or anything of value.Further the STATE OF COLORADO SENATE BILL 10-155 rules: "IT IS UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON OR ENTITY TO SELL TO A 26 PURCHASER A GIFT CARD THAT CONTAINS A SERVICE FEE, A DORMANCY -2- SB10-155 FEE, AN INACTIVITY FEE, 1 A MAINTENANCE FEE, OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF FEE.The bill prohibits an is[redacted]r of a gift card from charging any fees in connection with the issuance of the card." A VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION SHALL BE DEEMED A DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICE AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 6-1-105 (1) (ccc).Colorado law also declares that a gift certificate is valid at the price you paid for five years. The business claims I purchased this in the “summer of 2013” and “She had 3 years to use her services.”  Negating the fact that this does not conform to the 5 years that I legally have, even if we do use the 3 years stated by her, that time had not finished before she cancelled my appointments. Summer of 2016 is not here yet.  Her practice of demanding a $25 extra fee from her patrons is illegal. As well, it is illegal for her to declare that the package is expired before 5 years and that it won’t be honored or refunded. My credit card receipt shows a different amount charged than the business states. I request a refund of the % of unused services. Her written statement above declares that I purchased 6 peels for $240 and that I used 3 of those. If this is true, and given that she has refused service, that means 50% of the price paid, or $120 shall be refunded to me.
Sincerely,

Hello and thank you for bringing this to my attention. My name is [redacted] and I am the owner of Skinology.  About 10 days ago I sent out an email to all 1200 of my clients to let them know my business was closing in 60 days and I was moving to NC.  My mother has had a serious head...

injury and I needed to be closer to home. In this email I informed my clients that if they had an expired service they would have to pay $25 to reinstate there expired treatment. [redacted] made an appointment during my 60 day close.  We do not have the right phone number for her on file anymore so I emailed her to let her know she would owe a $25 reinstatement fee.  Her originall purchase for her dermafile treatments was 2 years ago.  I let her know more than 30 days in advance that she would have this charge.  She wrote back a very unflattering letter saying that she would not pay.  I let her know we have documented times in her chart where she was a no call/no show and never charged her or took away those missed appointments. She has signed paperwork in her file knowing this as a policy.  She had only 1 treatment left in her expired package of 6 dermafiles.  She never bought 12 treatments, this is a lie.  She bought 4 foot peels, which have been all used and six files, with one left.  One was taken away bc of her last no show on 3/25/15.  My compromise for her was the $25 fee, instead of charging full price.  She stated in her email she would not pay anything.  I am out of town until next week.  When I am back in Volorado I can send you her file, with her signature on our policy form and her documented of not showing up.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I purchased 2 separate packages containing 6 individual dermafile treatments apiece (a total of 12) at Skin-ol-ogy that have not all been received/redeemed or refunded. When I purchased the packages initially there were no expiration dates on the paperwork and none of the staff informed me that the packages containing individual dermafile treatments had expiration dates. Now just as of April/May 2016, the business owner [redacted] is closing her business for personal matters and is not allowing me to redeem four of my unused treatments without paying additional fees of $25.00 apiece. I have already spent over $1000.00 for my services and products and each facial, known as a dermafile costs $90.00 so I am confused as to why she is charging me additional fees when I have already paid for my treatments. She does not have ample availability explaining why I have been unable to use my services prior to this date and she expects me to get in on her time, which I am willing to do to redeem my unused services. When I made my appointment I told her via email I would not be paying the unnecessary additional $25.00 fee to redeem services already paid in full for. [redacted] cancelled my facial appointment and has not communicated with me since. I feel taken advantage of and that she is committing theft by taking my money and providing me no services in return, which is a felony crime. When we did communicate [redacted] claimed I did no call no shows on her, which is not the case, dating back to 2014 that she is now wanting to charge me for. I explained to her that actions on her end should have been taken at the time of the occurrence, supposedly in 2014, not when she is closing her business and cannot redeem my services. I do not feel I owe [redacted] any money and have done everything on my end to be a prompt, courteous, client and follow by her businesses policies. I have cancelled a few appointments without 24 hour notice but communication was given and received for me not making the scheduled appointment and again at that time nothing was said or addressed regarding fees for cancellations or additional fees for expiration dates. No communication was given by her business, her or her staff pertaining to expiration dates on my packages and when I asked her to provide me with the paperwork I signed with highlighted expiration dates she failed to do so. I am very disappointed with the way she is handling her move and do not feel I deserve to be treated this way due to her personal issues. I am a client that deserves the utmost, best, gold standard service and she has failed to provide this to me, now more so than ever! The response I received from Skin-ology's owner [redacted] is absolutely unsatisfactory!!!!!! [redacted] is the liar and I have my bank statement proving that I just paid $553.83 on 2/17/2015 that clearly is not two years ago. I was waiting on an email from you, the Revdex.com, and never received one, otherwise I would have responded within that five days! This case absolutely cannot be closed! I do not allow businesses to thieve and steal my money without providing services. [redacted]berly can prove to you her alleged lies that she "told" me or "informed" me that this dermafile package that had 6 individual dermafile treatments to provide to me had expiration dates on it. My signature on paperwork does not prove that I was knowledgeable of expiration dates. My signature on my paperwork states that I am using my service and signing to acknowledge that it is one less service for redemption. I need this to be handled appropriately and recontact Skin-ology for me for my full refund of $553.83. Thank you.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
